I began to walk home. I remembered the way, but it was a long walk. I arrived at the house and opened the door. I walked in and left the door open for Noctis. I sat down on the couch and sighed. Earth was beautiful, but it sure did tire you out.

Noctis followed her and closed the door behind him. The band in his hair was starting to annoy him so he took it out and his hair flowed over his shoulders. He turned back to her "So how did you enjoy your first day on earth?"He asked.

"It was good," I said to Noctis, looking at the way that his white hair hung around his face. He was cute, but I wasn't going to say that to him. I yawned and leaned back on the couch, my feet hanging over the arm rest.

He gave a small smile "Glad you enjoyed it". He went towards the stairs "Illl be upstairs if you need anything". He would of told her she could go to the other bedroom but seeing as she looked pretty comfortable he just left it alone.

I slowly fell asleep. And the strangest thing happened. In my dream, I was in a dark room. The darkest room I had ever seen. There was no light, but then my mom appeared. There was a bright light emanating from her. "Sara, princess," she said, smiling at me. Tears beaded up in my eyes, and I ran to her. I wrapped my arms around her and gave her a hug. She felt real. "Do not cry, darling," she said, wrapping her arms around me also. "Sara, listen to me." "Yes, mom," I said, pulling back. "The demons are coming. They will try to take you. You must fight back. Noctis will help." Then, my dream ended. I woke up in a cold sweat, and morning light was shining through the window in the corner. I sighed. The dream felt so real.

Noctis was already awake. He was watching the sun rise but he felt something was wrong. He kept looking out the window making sure nothing was out there. He gave a slight frown, he wondered why he was feeling that way. Since he could shapeshift, he could turn into a few animals. He turned into a white wolf as he sniffed the air, he didnt smell anything.

I got up and walked around the house, deep in thought. I paced around the kitchen table. Then, it hit me. Demons looked just like humans, but they always had that eerie, dark, mysterious air about them. But that wouldn't work out. Some regular humans had a strange air about them. I sighed and sat down. How would I know whether someone that walked by was a demon or a regular human?

Noctis, still in wolf form walked out the bedroom. He trotted down the stairs and went straight to the window. He glared at the outside world. He felt like someone was getting near. His tail swished a little behind him and his ears were flat against his head as he waited. He was a bit anxious. It felt like more than one.

Then, I got that feeling. That same feeling that I had when my Mom died. "Noctis," I said, looking at the wolf. "They're coming." And at that, I grabbed one of the kitchen knives and started shaking. I was terrified. I was a princess. I had never, ever, been in a fight before. I told my muscles to stop spazzing, and looked out of the window too. Sure enough, three men wearing dark clothes came over the hill. They looked perfectly human, but they weren't. I could tell.

Noctis looked over at her "Relax"He said, not moving his mouth. " I wont let them hurt you" he looked back at the window. He gave a low growl. He was waiting, waiting for the right time to strike. He saw the three man and his eyes narrowed. He wasnt going to let anyone harm her. He would die first.

I growled as they opened the door. They didn't bust it down. They simply opened it. I took my knife, and threw it at one of the men who came in. It hit him square in the chest, and stuck there. The man let out a pained ex
pression, and dissipated into a black mist, which then disappeared as well. That's what happens when demons die. I watched my knife fall to the ground, no blood on it. The other two stared at me, their grins wide. Those were definately not friendly grins.

Noctis atacked one of them turning into a snarling panther as he did so. He clamped down onto one of thems neck and ripped at his chest. The demon was black mist in seconds he lept infront of her and snarled at the last Demon standing. He usually didnt attack first but he had his moments when he switched it up. He attacked the last demon head one and snarled and snapped at him.

The demon agilely dodged Noctis's attack, but I caught him by surprise. In an instant, I had my knife at his throat. I cut, and the demon disappeared. Gone. I started shaking, terrified. Luckily, when Noctis attacked, I had enough time to grab my knife that had fallen to the floor.

Noctis snarled and licked his bleeding side. He had got slashed by the first demon he had fought but didnt recognize it till now. "You alright?"He asked he looking back at her. He was still bleeding, not to heavy, but heavy enough.

"Yeah," I said, dropping the knife. "Oh my gosh," I said, staring at his side. "Hold still," I said, walking towards him. I put my hand over the gash and closed my eyes. I felt the warm blood on my fingers, but I braved through it. I felt my hand heat up, then start burning. I cried out. I had only healed minor things like paper cuts before, so this was seriously taking the energy out of me. Then, I let back. I had finished the job. His injury was healed, but I had fainted in the process. Note to self: Don't push yourself so hard.

He groaned in pain as she touched his side. Once she started to heal it he looked at her with wide eyes. "DOnt d-" but it was too late. He turned back to his regular form and caught her before she fell. He sighed and picked her up. He took her to the other bedroom and laid her down putting a cool towel over her head. "You didnt have to that"He said lowly. He transforemed back to his wolf form and went back to the window looking out.

I felt Noctis pick me up. He was strong, of course, I didn't weigh very much. Then, I felt a cool towel over my head. It felt good. I sighed, or at least I think I did, and layed there. After about fifteen minutes of pure darkness, I opened my eyes. I got up and wobbled a bit. When I walked down the stairs, I clutched the hand rail for dear life. I saw Noctis looking out the window and I sighed once more.

Noctis ears went back as he heard her. He turned around and walked up to her. "You ok?" he asked. He was worried about her,he couldnt really straight worrying about her. He had long ago scaned her for injuries so he wasnt too worried.

"Yeah," I said, looking down. "I'm fine. You were hurt pretty bad, though." I ran my hands through my hair and sighed. "I'm sorry for fainting on you. That's the first time I've ever fainted while healing someone." I couldn't help it. I scratched Noctis's head. He was a wolf, and I loved all animals. I just had to do it.
