Zuri reached platform nine and three quarters without a problem. Of course, she had been doing that for five years now. She watched other children boarding the train, and she looked to her right side, where her mother was clenching her hand like a stress ball.

Amanda Black, Zuri's mother, was very emotional at the time. She had streams of tears running down her cheeks, and she was blabbering to her daughter. "Zuri..." Amanda sniffled. "I want you to make some new friends this year, okay?" Her mother said.

Zuri simply gave her mother a warm hug, and tried to pull away. However, the girl couldn't. Her mother was hugging her so tightly that she could barely move.

"Sweetie," Amanda whispered in her daugher's ear. "I want you to be careful about your animagus, okay?" Nobody but Zuri could hear her mother.

"Okay, Mom," Zuri managed to say before prying herself loose. Her mother grabbed her by her hand again.

"Zuri..." Amanda was being overly emotional. "I'm going to miss you!" She hugged her again, even tighter than before.

Zuri struggled to breathe, but she managed to say, "Please, Mom. I'll be back. I promise. I'll be home for the holidays."

Amanda sniffled, and wiped her tears away before pulling back from her daughter. "Okay. Love you."

"Love you too," Zuri said before boarding the train. She looked at her luggage, which wasn't very much, and sat down in an empty compartment. She sighed, and crossed her legs. Everyone was too emotional about their child going away to Hogwarts. It wasn't that big of a deal, really.

 Zooey Flane ad barely escaped her fathers grasp when she made a dash towards the train. She hated that part, not necissarily the leaving, but all the hugging. It drove her absolutely crazy. She hated public displays of afffection.The occasional hugs here and there, wahtever, but when peopleare blocking paths with their hugging, kissing, or snogging, Well, let's just say, it was then she wished she knew how to apparate and disapparate. Boarding the train she found a compartment with a girl she recognized from her house. She sat down in the compartment with her, on the bench across and mubled, "Zuri, right?" Not waiting for an answer she pulled and albino rat from a pocket in her robes and set it on the seat beside her.

Sian Weasley locked in a tight, warm, and loving hug with her father, Hugo Weasley. Son of the best friends of Harry Potter, nephew to the boy who lived himself. That was a part of her heritage that she hated. The fact that half the time, there were people who talked to her only to find out about her family, yeah, well, that pissed her off. Pulling out of the hug she smild at her dad, and grabbed her little brothers hand. Arthur Bilius was a second year student in Ravenclaw house.It was a surprise for their family, but they were happy. They didn't care. Casting one last glance at her father the pair boarded the train, Tarewyn, Sian's cat following close behind. Her brothers rat was no doubt in his pocket. He never left without it. Her brother went to sit down with his friends and Sian went to go find hers.

Xander Ashyn was laid down in his compartment thinking deeply. Not about anything profuond, but rather a new prank. It was formulating in the back of his mind, what could he pull at theFeast.

Zarek Wilsmuth shook his head to get the blonde shaggy hair out of his face. There were times when he hated his hair. Absololutely hated it. He couldn't see, but no matter how he cut it grew back like a weed. Finally resorting to using his hand he pushed it out of his eyes and scanned the train. It was starting to get full, but he still couldn't see any of his friends.

OoC; Yeah guys. My grandpa is still in the hospital, but his surgery went well. He got his aortic valve replaced and had quintuple bypass :O

OoC: I hope you don't mind if Alice is friends with Sian, Eastern? I can change this if you don't want to. :)

Alice closed her eyes at Platform 9 3/4 and sniffed at the wonderfully familiar smells that filled the air. Owls, smoke, wood and polish. She opened her eyes and saw a group of young children run past delightedly. She was alone, her parents too busy at work to come. She was used to that - the muggle police station they worked at was always busy. She promised to send an owl when she got to Hogwarts though.

She boarded the train slowly, taking in all she could with her senses. She only had a couple more years of coming here. She wanted to remember all of it. She saw Sian Weasley in a compartment, and hurried over.

"Hello!" She exclaimed. "How has your summer been?" She took her ferret, Choo, out of her hood and flopped it on her lap. Then she took out a spare chocolate frog from home. She was hungry, even though she had only just eaten.

"Hey Alice!" Sian said, excited to see her friend, "My summer's was quite good actually, dad bought a new brromstick for me and Arthyr to share. 'Course he can't really use it at school." She smiled at her friend, "I plan on trying out for the Quidditch team this year! My father was a Beater when he was in school." Brushing a long strand of red her out of her freckly face she asked, "How was your summer?"

Alice stroked Choo as she remembered her holiday. Homework, staying home alone and being incredibly bored - not very fun. But she just smiled up at Sian. "It was good." She said simply. She wished she was pure blooded, or at least had other siblings. She would have loved spending her holidays on a broomstick and riding around playing Quidditch. She was very good at Quidditch; she was the Ravenclaw chaser the year before. She hoped she could keep that position this year. She hadn't been able to practise though, so she probably wouldn't get it.

"Nothing important. I just wish I had a family like yours! But you already know that." Alice smiled. She told Sian everything. Well, almost everything.

"Really?" Alice's face lit up. "That would be amazing! I'd love to see your house, it'll be so magical." She grinned at the thought of being in a house full of witches and wizards, and maybe sneaking a spell here and there because no one would know who did it. "You would be able to come to my house, but... It'd be very boring for you!" She said, feeling a little sorry for herself at how sad her outside life was. But she didn't mind. Being accepted into Hogwarts was the greatest thing that had happened in her life. She knew she would, she was very skilled from a young age (she loved making plants grow and moving things around the room without touching them), but there was always that nagging fear that maybe, just maybe, they had forgotten about her. Most people did.

'I'd love to.' Alice said. 'I wonder... Would I be able to... Meet your Grandpa and Uncle? Ron and Harry?' She said quietly. She knew all about them. She hadn't made friends with Sian just because she was related to them, but it would be a bonus to be able to meet them through her.
