"Get out of my house." Damon snarled. Logan only laughed, looking at him with a steel gaze.

"Nice werewolf friend you got there. Planning on killing her yet?"

Rosa got back up, seeing no point in pretending to sleep, and started to wander around her warehouse. She frowned, pulling her bag out from under her cot, and started to flip through a bunch of newspaper clippings she'd saved in a photo album. The head lines jumped out at her. 

Three Men Found Dead; throats all slit. Murder or mas,s suicide?

Local Woman attacked by Bear.

School Bus gone missing- Parents in a frenzy to find children.

Man dies; drained of blood in harbor.

Family attacked by wolves near river. 

It went on and on.... she'd always kept evidence of werewolf and vampire attacks in here... but at the time she'd thought it was all werewolf. She'd never dreamed Vampires exist.

"Oh, let's try it!" Destery exclaimed, clasping his hands together and ignoring Josh's question. He spat on the ground, then dug around in his pocket for his lighter. Once he found it, he crouched down, holding the lighter close. "Should I, should I, should I?" he asked, smiling up at Josh. They could burn the bodies right there if they wanted to, which was another reason as to why Destery wanted to light his venom so bad.

Destery scowled. "You're a queer..." he mumbled, looking away. Just before he lit the ground, he looked back at Josh and added, "I'll light you on fire next, okay?" Then, he spat his venom out again and lit it, stepping back just as the flame lighted. "Haha, it works!" he exclaimed, clasping his hands together. He paused, blinking, and asked, "Should we throw the bodies in the fire or not? And, we should probably figure out a way to put the flames out, just in case."

( He sets his friends on fire... )

Josh's eyes narrowed into slits. "Don't you dare come near me with that lighter." Then he frowned, thinking for a moment. "I don't know. I imagine it'd burn itself out after it engulfs the bodies... but if not," A cold, heartless laugh escaped him. "Then I guess we'll have to test out these human's abilities on putting out fires."

Destery blinked. Either Josh couldn't take a joke, or he just wanted to be a pissy bastard. "Eh, alright," he said, standing up and throwing the child's body into the small, developing fire. Then, he squatted down again, holding the tiny little flame of his lighter to the human's clothes, lighting it. "Your turn," Destery announced, standing back with a smile.

( Nobody likes a sunshiney boy in dark clothing. )

Blinking, Destery walked over to Josh's side, standing next to him and crossing his own arms. He watched for a while, feeling just a bit upset, but in the end, he decided he didn't care. He tossed his hair and gave a loud sigh, tightening his arms across his chest. For Pete's sake, all they were doing was watching a pair of bodies burn. How was that interesting in any way? "Joshua," Destery said a little loudly. Maybe it was time he prodded at the other vampire's history again.

( Well, if you haven't noticed, Josh, he only calls you Joshua. ono )

Ignoring the use of his own name, Destery cocked his head, asking, "When did you stop calling yourself that?" Destery blinked at the growing fire, then lightly scratched at the side of his head. "I mean, it's probably not because of people, because you seem too antisocial to even care about that." he said, shrugging.

( I love the little plankton that says, "Well, I can't read!" in Spongebob. xD )

Josh's voice was almost silent against the crackle of the fire. "My mum called me Josh when I was little." He only blinked, staring blankly into the growing flames with a hollow look in his eyes, like his mind had wandered off somewhere else.

Destery cocked his head at the word "mum." He himself had long lost his thick British accent, but, of course, there was still a tiny hint of it in his voice...at times. Maybe Josh wasn't willing to let go of the past. Or he did, but it's difficult to do so. Though, he thought that it would hurt to be called "Josh" instead of "Joshua." That was just him, though. "I'd call you Joshy...or something." he said, a grin breaking across his face.

Josh only mumbled, "No thanks," and continued to stare at the fire. It had run out of things to consume, and was now starting to die down a little. It reminded him of human life. Strong, bright and powerful, and then you run out of things to burn and you get weaker, and smaller, and dimmer, until you vanish completely...

Destery stared. What the hell could he say? He knew that Josh didn't like him, which meant that he definitely disliked having conversations with him. But, if that really was so, the least he could do was say, "I don't want to talk" instead of just leaving him hanging. "What're you thinking about?" Destery blurted. Joshua looked like he was in deep thought, just staring into a fire like that... He wanted him to share.

( How can you not get back in to your own character? D:
I've never had someone forget how to play their own character on me before.
To me, it's definitely unheard of. )

"People I used to know," Josh said, smiling faintly. It faded soon after. "Well, trying to remember them, anyways. I don't remember much anymore, from my human years. It's cloudy, like trying to see through muddy water." He blinked, and added on, "What are you thinking about?"

"Mmm?" Destery blinked. Yup, he was a bit confused. He never really thought about much when he wasn't alone. If he had any sort of company, he'd be too preoccupied with trying to figure out a way to bug them, or simply thinking about things to do. When he was alone, his mind wandered, and if he ever really, really put some thought into anything, it would depress him. War depressed him. His past depressed him. People depressed him. Freakin' salesmen depressed him. And, now that he was thinking about all that, he felt pretty damn depressed.

Destery sighed, saying, "I'm thinking about what I think about." There was little emotion to his words, except for a bit of sullen sadness.
