{ That sounds like me. Except I adore school because it gives me a chance to escape my parents. } "Well, what I thing to think about that is," Josh mused gently, another smile growing on his face. This one stuck. He blinked, dragging his eyes away from what used to be the fire; some ashes and a few hot embers. He suddenly felt the urge to hit something, or rip someone's head off. Not Destery's, of course though, he didn't hate him that much. But he usually got this sudden violent streak whenever he tried to think of his human years. It just frustrated him so much that he couldn't remember anything he wanted to break something.

Or just hide in my room. ono ) Destery tilted his head towards Josh. "Go on..." he said, his brow furrowing. Not because he was worried or anything like that, though. He raised an eyebrow, cocking his head opposite from where Joshua was standing. Actually, he didn't entirely care about what Josh had to say. He just wanted to get his mind off...well, everything.

{ Thats what I'm doing right now, actually. o3o Hiding in my room with my laptop. } Josh didn't speak. He had nothing to talk about, really. What conversation really held any interest for him, now? He couldn't remember anything but being a vampire. And that got boring after a while. He glanced at Destery, curious, and then looked away again. This was the closest he'd been to anything like a friend in a long, long time.

( D: I can't take the laptop anywhere. ;-; ) Sighing, Destery shook his head, deciding that it would be best at this moment just to shut up and wonder about when was a good time to leave. He would've continued bothering him, but actually, he was a bit tired of it. It seemed like Josh had a temper, but it also seemed like there was no limit to it. All there was was hollow threats. What the hell?

Who put a heart in Josh's chest?
I mean, like. o___o; No...offense... ) Destery hung his head, raising one hand when he did. "That's probably my fault," he mumbled, raising his head and returning that weak smile Josh was giving him. A second later, he added, "Sorry." Although, he was a bit confused. Not too long ago, Josh was irritable and rude, and now, he seemed nice. Scary! Maybe whatever he had been thinking about had changed his way of thinking.

{ lol. I did. o3o No offence taken. } Josh wasn't very good at apologizing, being nice, or being social. But he was working on it. A little part of his mind pointed out that it was out of his element, but he ignored it. He'd been alone for as long as he could remember, and he was ready to switch things up. He hated nothing more than boredom. "No," he said, smirking. "If I'm remembering correctly, I threatened to slit your throat or something." He chuckled a little. "Sorry."

"Okay, that's true," Destery said, nodding and smiling. "But, that kind of stuff doesn't put me on edge. The only reason you said that was because I was being a bother." He blinked, then shook his head, saying, "If we keep going on like this, we'll just be going in circles. So, we're both sorry, let's shake hands." He held out his own, smiling.

Josh hesitated for a moment, eyes flickering to Destery's hand. Then he sucked in a deep breath and stuck out his own hand, shaking the other vampires. "So it's a truce," he said, smirking. "I'll try not to snap at you, and you'll irritate me less?"

Destery smiled at Josh, releasing his hand and letting his own retreat back into one of his jeans pockets. "I'll try," he answered, and then he laughed. Destery shook his head, and said, "Okay, okay... I'll really, truly, and actually try, but of course, habit may overcome me at times."

"I won't make any promises," Josh said, shoving his hands into his pockets to avoid any further contact with Destery. "I'm no so good at that." He smiled a little bit, turning his red eyes to the remains of the fire. "Do we just leave that there, or...?"

"Fine, fine," Destery said, waving a hand in the air. He blinked at Josh, then glanced over at the pile of cinders. "Mmm-mm," He shrugged, stuffing his other hand into his pocket. "If anyone decided to look for 'em, I don't think a dog would be able to recognize the scent there. Even so, it would look suspicous, and they'd probably take some samples in for testing." he said, frowning.

Josh shrugged, glancing back at Destery. "We could put some sticks or something next to the ashes. Make it look like we burned a big branch or something." He blinked a few times, eyes fixed on the ground near his feet. "I dunno."

Destery shook his head. "Better safe than sorry," he said, grinning and stepping forward. He kicked some of the ash away, then dug the toe of his shoe into the ground, tossing a small pile of dirt onto the ashes. "The least we can do is mix the ashes with soil, so it won't look weirdly suspicous. And, plus, the soil around here is rather black, and there isn't a lot of gr*censored* around." Once again, he kicked his toe into the ground, pushing more dirt into the ashes.

Josh help Destery, hands still in his pockets. "How long have you been around this area?" he asked him, blinking a few times before setting his eyes on Destery. "Before I met you, I'd never really crossed your scent before." He frowned. "I've been around here for a good year and a half." Josh ran a hand through his ruffled hair, looking at his shoes as silence settled around them.

"I could say the same for you," Destery said, kicking even more dirt up from the ground. He flashed Josh a smile, then looked back down, still burying/mixing the ashes as he thought. "I dunno. Three, four years? I was planning on moving on my fifth year, but," Once again, he smiled at Josh. "now I've found you, and Charlotte, and that little werewolf boy and the older one, too."

"Hmm," he mumbled, not bothering to kick at the ground anymore. It looked pretty mixed in. "I know the werewolves, but I don't think I'm familiar with this Charlotte. Is she a vampire, or a werewolf, exactly?" Josh blinked at Destery, frowning. He knew there was a female vampire with the older werewolf earlier, but he wasn't sure if that was Charlotte or not.

Destery raised an eyebrow. Well, if there was another werewolf around, and it was female, he wanted to know her. They were all right under his nose the entire time he'd lived there, right? Because they were, he wanted to know them. "She's a vampire," he confirmed, nodding a little. "Charlotte's a pretty vampire, so if you ever see a super gorgeous chick, it might be her."

The corner of Josh's lips twitched upright into the makings of a smile. "Super gorgeous?" he asked, chuckling a little bit with a small shake of his head. "Sounds like somebody's got a wee bit of a crush." He rolled his eyes, standing upright from leaning slightly on the tree. He brushed off his shirt and look at Destery again. "Is she a blonde?" he asked curiously, blinking. { Rosa's a female werewolf. ;P -pokes Destery- }

( Destery: -poked- ;-; I haven't met her. ) Destery rolled his eyes, and poked his tongue out at Josh. "No, I don't have a crush on her," he said, tossing his hair back. "She's pretty, that's all. And, yeah, she's a blondie." He paused, and then a smile crept onto his lips. Sidestepping towards Josh, he pinched his cheek, pulling on it. "Why-y-y? Do you like blondies?" he queried.
