"Nah." Damon chuckled. "But I like literacy, and it's just the way I was brought up. Plus, I knew it would annoy you."He said, laughiong a bit at the end.

"So," Rosa muttered, "I never caught your name, even though you seem to already know mine." She scowled, struggling to keep up with him and his long legs.

"Salvatore. Damon Salvatore." He replied, slowing his pace for her sake.

"Know anywhere private? I know many,but you might get the wrong impression, yet again." 

"No, I don't really," Rosa lied slowly, biting down on her lip. "Well," she confessed, "I know one place but I think you'd get the wrong impression if I brought you there." She felt herself blush, and tried not to look at him.

At that moment, two things made her want to slap herself silly. One: she was talking, politely, to a vampire. Two: That vampire was making her blush. And laugh.

She started to backpedal. 

((Uh-oh, I see this going somewhere xD...))

"Well, then think of it this way." Damon told her." You can either let me pick, which I doubt you'll like, or you can pick." 

Destery chuckled, nodding a little. "Well, I'm certainly used to being a vampire. I'm just an old vampire fart." he said, poking his tongue out at Jason. "It's bad enough to be eighteen-years-old-looking, but I've been living this way for yeaaaars." He laughed. "I don't think it matters much, though. I'm just happy I get to live to see cars fly."

"My hand is warm?" Severin asked, lifting it up so he could see. He'd never really noticed if he was warm. Only if his skin was cold to touch, which never made any sense to him. He barely reacted when Charlotte used his name, instead tilting his head a bit, squinting. "Do I want to know anything about you?" he asked, cocking his head sharply. He was still pretty cautious.

Rosa tried to act natural, like she hadn't just had an epiphany, but it was hard. "I kinda live there," she warned. "So yeah. If that's gonna be too awkward for you..." 

Charlotte chuckled, tucking her hands in her pockets. "Well," she said. "We could be friends, or we could be enemies." She added on, "And now that I know your name I don't really feel the need to rip your throat out and feed you to the crows." She smiled. "It'll be like a field experiment. Learn about each other's species."

Jason frowned. "Lucky," he said quietly. "I'm not immortal like you are, so I don't get to live that long." He thought for a second, and then perked up. "how about this? You live until they make time machines, then poof back to this instance, and show me a picture of a flying car!?" He grinned widely.

Severin furrowed his brow. Suddenly, he was as untrusting as he was supposed to be, and he took a wary step back, blinking. "Either way is fine, but... I don't want to get killed, okay?" he joked, smiling a little. He pushed his hair out of his face, still smiling a little, and looked towards the door. "Charlotte, I've gotta go. But, I'll stop by tomorrow, okay?" He tried to smile a little wider.

Destery laughed again. Crazy kid. "Alright, sure, if you want me to. But, if I meet you in the future-slash-in the past, I think I might cause a spacial rift in time or something, I don't know." He chuckled, patting Jason's head again. "I'll do it. For sure, even if I do screw up the universe."

Charlotte rolled her eyes, hopping back on the counter so she could dangle her long legs over the side. "Go ahead, leave Severin. But how much you want to bet you won't come back tomorrow?" She winked and chuckled. "Oh, and by the by, I wasn't planing on killing you." She smirked.

Jason grinned, eyes lighting up. "Awesome," was all he said, and then his face fell as something stepped out of the shadows.

"Destery," Josh teased. "I didn't know you bought a puppy. Does it play fetch?" He gave Jason a dirty look, and then stood beside the other vampire. 

"That's good to know," Severin said, smirking right back. "And, I am coming back tomorrow, because today, my scotch was murdered. Tomorrow, I hope it won't be." He chuckled, turning away and walking off. He pulled the door opened, stepping through and walking up the sidewalk. He was kind of hoped he'd make it back home in one piece.

Destery rolled his eyes, setting his other hand on top of Josh's head and giving his hair a good rub. "I doubt it." he said, smirking. "But, I'd love to find out, honestly." He chuckled, looking down at Jason and murmuring, "I'm just kidding, Jason~"

Jason's eyes were wide than flying saucers. "Is this the vampire you were telling me about earlier?" He bit down on his lip, looking at the two of them cautiously.

Josh glared at Destery. "You were talking about me? How rude. I should punch you again. But I won't, because I'm a nice person like that." He pried Destery's hand off of his head, bending one finger backwards, and sighed to himself.

"Good to know," Charlotte murmured to herself. She started to thread her fingers through her hair, and stare off into space as she started to think.

Rosa growled at him. She muttered, "Because while you're sleeping, or whatever vampires do at night, I shift into a wolf twice your size." She snorted. "I may be tiny as a human, but as a wolf I'm pretty damn huge." 

Josh hissed, rubbing his arm and giving Destery a killer glare. "I'll kill you," he warned, growling under his breath. His eyes would burn holes in Destery if it were possible for him. 

Jason was silent, as he was unsure of what to say around Josh. The vampire's aura was a strong, threatening one; it made him want to curl up in his sock drawer and sleep for days on end. He only nodded and swallowed loudly.

Unless I make Josh ditch Destery and Jason, run into Severin,

and I make Charlotte bump into Destery and Jason? xD )
