[[I am currently writing Kate's one, and Naomi is just about ready to write.I will be 5 more minutes]]

Paws thudded on the ground silently, only audible to the sleek panther's own ears. It's amber-red eyes flashed through the trees, looking for anything that might be suspicious. It's long black ears listened for anything that sounded out of ordinary. Then he heard it: Voices. In the forest. The animal wore an ex
pression too human-like to make it seem all panther. The creature turned  around, heading towards the city, heading towards the noise. 

Strange scents wafted towards the animal, calling it closer. He smelled cat... Two types, house and something much too exotic to have lived here. Also monkey. The panther stopped walking. What the hell was a monkey doing in the forest? When the bright amber eyes neared the edge of the forest the animal halted. Suddenly, it looked as if it were convulsing. It's black fur was soon replaced with clothes: Black jeans, combat boots, black T-shirt and, of course, the black leather jacket. The man was now standing where the panther once was. The man was the panther.

"Kenny." The man whispered to himself, attempting to remember everything. After he shifted, Kenneth's memory was a bit hazy. He had to relay the details of his own life every time he came back to his human form. "I live in apartment number 23 in the apartments just past this forest with my half-vampire room-mate, Vincent. I am 21 and work at a bar. I am half demon..." Kenny's voice became a whisper as he finished his spiel to himself.

Kenneth noticed the sky changing colors: Pinks and blues invading the dark, navy color of the night sky. "Fu-" He cut himself off. He couldn't afford to stand here any longer, as the sun was about to come out. He started out in a jog, having to run about half a mile to get into the safety of his apartment. He barely made it too.

"Oi, Kenny," Vince called out to his room mate as he heard the door slam. They never locked it anyways, as there was nothing to steal anyways. "You barely made it man," He said, more with a matter-of-fact tone than an accusing one. "You better watch it next time..." Vince paused and pursed his lips. He felt like a parent now, which was ridiculous as Kenny was paying all the bills. 

Vinny flopped down on the only couch they had in the living room, staring at his still panting room mate. Eventually he turned his head, looking out the window that showed all houses beyond the apartment. He noticed a girl and her... snake? running. "Hmm, interesting," He murmured to himself, wondering how a snake would be a house pet at all. Though, Vinny couldn't judge at all... He had a panther as a room mate. 

"Kenny, I might go out later. I need to... feed." Vince finally said, turning around to discover that he was talking to himself. Kenneth had already gone to his room and crashed, or Vinny suspected that at least. He didn't know. He was just grateful that he couldn't smell his disgusting scent anymore. 

"Of course, that's perfectly fine with me!" Vinny answered himself, mimicking Kenny's voice. He did that a lot, actually. It made him feel as if Kenneth cared once in a while. Vince shook the feeling out of his head. Of course Kenny cared... Or else he wouldn't be here right now. 

Vince finally sighed and shoved himself up off of the couch. Out of natural habit, Vince reached down for a jacket, only to realize he didn't need one. His temperature fluctuated so he was never cold, nor warm. He was always room temperature. Vince closed the door quietly, trying not to 'wake' his sleeping roomie. Once outside, Vinny enjoyed the daybreak, as he did every morning. The sun didn't burn his skin, as it did Kenneth's, and that he was appreciative for. The teen soon found his way wandering towards the nearby forest, and why not? He had nothing else to do.

Vince was walking into the trees, not even looking where he was going. He was actually focusing about kicking a small stone in front of him, eyes glued to the ground for a few moments. Suddenly, his head quickly shot up as he heard strange popping, a sound all too familiar. He knew it in an instant. He paused, waiting to see anything out of the ordinary, but it nothing was there.

Vincent started walking again, only for a few seconds before a girl toppled into him. She had such a cool demeanor about it, Vince almost found it funny. "Oh, it's quite alright Miss Kate," he said with a grin, taking her hand in his. He shook and gave her a small smile. "My name's Vincent." He added after a moment, as if he forgot it himself. 

"What're you doing in the forests at this time in the morning?" Vincent asked her, sticking his hands into his front pockets loosely. He cocked his head to the side, feeling his dirty blonde hair shift across his forehead as he did so. Something about this girl seemed... familiar. He had never seen her before though. It was odd to him.

Vincent smiled at her comment. K He thought. How unique. Vince considered her comment. Special? How so? There were so many things that Vinny considered special: Human blood, for one, a sunset, but never a sunrise, and the feeling of running in the rain. Yes, running in the rain. 

Vincent pulled his hand from his pocket and rubbed his chin, as if pondering some serious question. "And what, asides from the obvious," Vinny paused to give Kate a smile, "qualifies you as special?" He could think of a million things at this moment. Maybe she was like him. Maybe she was like Kenny. Maybe her being special was the ability to climb trees in the morning light for all he knew.

( may i make a guy character too? it seems like there's alot of girls, and hardly any guys. x3 )

Alice walked near the thick tree trunks she was so familiar with. She placed her foot on the end and pulled herself onto a branch. It took too much time for her liking so she turned into a snow leopard. She jumped and -thanks to her powerful legs- reached the branch near the top. Impossible for a human to get to, great if you don't want to be bothered. But.. What could bother you when its just you and animals in a forest? No humans would dare go past the first few inches of trees. Alice snorted and stretched herself out. Gently resting her head on her paws, she soon grew bored. I climbed up here for nothing i guess. She thought as she leaped down. She ran down the dirt path as if something lay there. She found humans in her way engaged in conversation. Alice quietly, and slowly, went past them and continued to run.

Vincent went rigid when Kate mentioned the panther. How could Kenny have been so careless?! He was putting us all at risk. And though Vince's mind was racing, he kept his cool demeanor. Reacting strangely might give away something about himself. His eyes widened as he watched Kate shift. 

"For most people, that would not." Vince cracked a smile. "Thank God that I'm not most people."  Then his concentration was broken by two cats: a small house cat covered in what looked like mud, and something much bigger, but obviously feline. It was odd how many cats traveled through here.
