Kate quickly forgot about the cat, and shifted back. "So Vincent. You do know who or what that panther is or doing, don't you?" Kate asked gently, smiling a little at how he had gone all stiff. "Please tell me. I won't tell, I'm a good girl." She urged Vincent on. Kate edged a little closer to Vincent, her hand itching to grab Vincent's hand. I told you before, this will NEVER happen, that little voice inside Kate's head told her, Maybe it will! I'll just give it some time. Ride him like he's a wave, and I won't let him go! Kate's other half told her. Kate shook her head slightly, and stepped back a bit, knowing he'll be creeped out if I held his hand when we don't even know each other well.

[[ So, Kate wants to ride Vincent like a wave? xDD HAHAHAHAHAHA. Sorry. My inappropriateness is coming out again. -.- ]]
Vince watched as the monkey shouted at the cat, who apparently just spoke. For some reason, he found it comical that a monkey was yelling at a cat. Most people would they were insane, but Vincent wasn't like most people. Eventually, Kate shifted back to her human form, making Vinny relax a bit more. He always felt more comfortable when two people talking were the same species.
"I'm debating here," Vince started, a smirk on his face that filled out his eyes as well, "Should I trust this random girl who has the ability to shift into a monkey, or should I leave her curious so she stays around?" Vince waved his hand through the air, as if brushing off his comments. "I think I'll choose the latter." A spark of mischief flashed in Vincent's eyes for just a moment as he said this.

[[A saying I made up then! lol]]
Kate grinned evily, and shifted quickly into a monkey, and clambered up onto Vincent's back, and sat on his head. She looked down at his face. "I'll just stay her then. All, day. I'll follow you to where you live, and find out who that panther is, and everything. Ready to tell me, pretty boy?" She whispered in his ear, really meaning it. Her cat tried to clamber up Vincent's back too, following the monkey, her mistress.

[[ 'Tis a very nice saying. :3 ]]
Vince nearly freaked out when Kate climbed onto his back as a monkey. That was not something he expected. Nor was it when she sat on his head and whispered into his ear. Soon after, the cat came crawling up too. And by cat, I mean small tiger. These girl's and their cats! "Well, Kate," Vince started, a smile tugging at his lips. "I'm willing to negotiate.... You just have to climb off of me first!"

Something was disturbing the grass in the field, bending it, twisting and rustling it. Sometimes the movement of the stalks was caused by little paws, sometimes, by human feet. A little ginger, brown head with a white underside popped out above the golden field grass. It pointed its triangular muzzle into the air, and inhaled deeply. Why didn't I notice before, those scents aren't coming from domesticated animals, those are shapeshifter scents! Mark thought to himself, feeling incredibly stupid for his lack of observation. He'd lived out in the wilderness for how long now, and he still couldn't pay enough attention to realize when something was up. He grumbled softly to himself, his voice sounding more like a deep shriek in his ermine form. Mark rolled his eyes, but crouched down again, shuffling down to conceal himself in the field stalks. His eyes were shining with mischief, as they so often did when he was a weasel. He bunched his muscles, and pushed off. He flung himself skyward, and found himself shooting over the grass. Mark gave a playful squeak, and twisted. He landed with a soft thud, in the field again, the breath driven out of him. There he lay, panting yet squeaking with laughter.
It took Mark a little while to catch his breath again, and when he did, he didn't pop back up right away again. He was beginning to regain some of the fear he had felt as he first detected the scent of other shapeshifters in the city. As far as he knew, those scents hadn't always been there, but then again, he might just not have noticed them. He wasn't exactly a social butterfly. At least he'd never exactly had the chance to socialize as much as he might have in another situation. The city skyline was visible, even over the tops of the stalks, which were just under a foot tall, about the same length as Mark's slender brown and white ermine body. Cautiously, he slithered back onto his feet, and began to creep forward, weaving through the golden grass stalks. If Mark had a talent at anything, it was weaving.
The buildings started growing larger and larger as Mark drew closer. He wasn't exactly sure what he was walking into, but he figured that he should stay in his animal form just to be safe. Pretty soon he knew he'd have to keep an eye out for more than just raptors, he'd have to watch out for cars for one, but those weren't that high on his danger list. He was a little more concerned about vampires, they freaked him out. He'd had a couple run ins with some, and he wasn't exactly eager to run into another. Besides, other shapeshifters might not be a good thing, Mark's animal form was small, and though lithe and quick, he'd stand little chance in a fight, and he wasn't very cautious when it came to picking one. He just hoped he wasn't making one of the biggest mistakes of his life, he could just barely navigate the city as it was, let alone use it's many twists and turns as an escape route if he needed one.
