Confusion sent Lucian's mind whirling. "You want to help me? Why do I find it hard to believe that?" He set the comment about the counsel aside for later consideration. He would definitely confront them about this during the next Meet. Oh... he would 'confront' them, allright.

Lucian silently fumed. This was why he hated wolves, prouder than the counsel vampires themselves. He gave Ace a skeptical look but easened after a few moments. "Fine. But keep those kin of yours away from her; I don't want thier stench to attach to her."

Lucian couldn't help but chuckle. He noticed Taelin sighing, glancing off to the side as if bored. The vampire smiled, saying, "Come now, we're starting to become dull, aren't we?" His ice blue eyes came back up to lock onto Ace's as he asked, "Where should we take the child? I have secure establishments within the city if you think it wise to take her there?" There was another thing on Lucian's mind: Tamlin. Why hadn't his servant returned yet? Killing Jacob shouldn't be taking so long, it had already been six hours...

"I suppose, but i don't know how the others in the area of your establishment will take to knowing about me. Perhaps i shall travel in my wolf-like form and act as one of your wide variety of pets, but boss me around and know that my bark is worse than my bite." Ace replied. She went to all fours and was now the same husky-ish wolf she allways was. Though quite a bit bigger... She shook herself to fluff out her fur, she didn't like it flat. Taelin scowled at Ace,"You never told me about this part of your life." Ace's eyes sparkled and she said,"Well, why do you think the counsil left your family alone? it was until I left the house one day when they came for you."

Lucian caught the sound of rustling nearby and hissed, silencing both Ace and Taelin. "Now is not the time for bickering over old times! Get moving before we're followed by whatever else is out here." It wasn't an issue for Lucian to simply kill whatever was tailing them, but he didn't want that whatever's companions to report back that he had allied himself with a werewolf, because only werewolves could speak in canine form.

Lucian rolled his eyes, moving with unmatched grace through the fields. Since Buddy hadn't returned yet, it was likely the cerberus was dead. A hard loss, but he still had some his offspring spawning in the basement; nothing he couldn't fix. He glanced at the sky, guessing what time it was. Before long, they came into sight of the city and his skyscraper looming over all the other buildings. (bleh, I'm kind of braindead)

Ace leaned down to let Taelin crawl onto her back and then they followed after Lucian. Ace's tail wagged furiously and she decided to run. Though, if she got put in a dog kennel she would not be happy...

As if having heard Ace's thoughts, Lucian silently mused the idea of putting the werewolf into a kennel, for security reasons of course, wouldn't want anyone finding out about her. He opened the front door to the building, glancing around at the empty street. A few ragged vampires watched curiously but quickly averted thier gazes as Lucian's own piercing, threatening gaze fell over them. He muttered, "Head up to the penthouse, I have to go check on something downstairs." He left them in the main lobby, devoid, of course, of any life.

Ace woofed and headed to the directed place. She glared and gave a death threat look to any vampire she had decided was too close to Taelin. An once she reached the place let Taelin down and licked her face saying they were safe now.

Lucian joined Ace and Taelin after a short while, the fringes of his suit jacket smoking slightly. He slipped out of it, throwing it over a vacant chair in his suit, and moving towards the bar to get somethign to drink. He glanced at Ace and said, "You can go into your human form while you're in this room, but this room only. It's not subject to any kind of surveillence."

Lucian set himself into his usual chair, an expensive gla.ss of wine cradled in his hands... again. His gaze settled on Taelin as he said, "We wait. Tonight's event with surely provoke a reaction form the counsel, luckily we have Kyla on our side... I hope. Either way, our next move relies on what they do. In the meantime..." He shifted his gaze to Ace. "You need to train her."

Lucian chuckled. "I am a vampire; I manipulate things in order to survive, it's in my nature. You, as a werewolf, are more adept as surviving through tooth and nail, which is exactly what Taelin needs." He took a sip of wine. "The manipulating can come later, if we have time."

The vampire smiled into his gla.ss, taking another sip before standing. "While you do that, I'll be doing my own little training sessions in the basement. use the PA system if you need me. Ciao!" He left the empty wine gla.ss on the bar counter as he sauntered out, flashing Ace a mischevious wink.
