Hawk grinned and touched his tail to his mate's.  "Alright.  Would you like to lead the way?"

Hawk followed and matched his pace with his mate's. He breathed in the crisp cold air.  He sighed happily, proud of his albeit small pack.  He looked at Kipcha's belly.  It may not be small for long, he thought, smiling.

River grew bored of the lake and turned to leave.  She felt her back paw slip into the water, and she yelped.  Startled, she began running.  The she-wolf didnt stop until she felt the crunch of snow again.  Looking back at her hind leg, she noticed it was bleeding.  She growled angrily at herself and licked up blood, which was dripping onto the pure white snow, staining it.

Khaz walks for a while and soon by accident comes to see river. he runs up to her and sees that she's bleeding "are you okay?" he asks her walking to her side and helping her stand.

She nodded and smiled, though it looked more like a grimace becuase she was still angry and in pain.  "I'm fine," she said.  She looked at the spattered blood droplets all over the snow.  "What're you doin' here?" she asked in a friendly tone.

"Oh," she said, looking at her friend.  "Didju see anythin worthwhile on your walk..?" she questioned.

River shrugged.  "I dunno.  Just wonderin'.  Cuz it would be cool to find something interesting and different.  You know?  Cuz things get so mundane and repetitive...I'd kill for something cool to happen."

Khaz chuckled at her. "yeah i guess so..." he told her smiling.

((i have to go for a little bit and if i don't get back on blame it on my brother..))

She smiled back, and stretched her wounded leg.  "It feels numb..." she murmured to herself.  Then River turned her attention back to Khaz.  "So..." she said.

Khaz Looked at River. "Lets get you back to the den so you can rest" he smiled.

River frowned and shook her head.  "No way!  Rest is for pups and the elderly.  I'm fine."  She Looked towards the pine forest and the mountains just beyond it.  River turned to Khaz with a grin.  "Wanna go explorin?" she asked slyly.

River smiled and turned to run.  "Bet 'cha can't catch me!" she howled to Khaz as she darted towards the forest.  She let her injured leg touch the ground with less pressure than the others, causing her to run slower, but she was still going at a sufficient speed.
