Khaz chuckled and ran after her "I bet i can" He laughed catching up with river. they were heading towards the mountains now but neither of them noticed.

River laughed and tried to outrun him. She stretched her legs farther and farther until she tripped on a rock and stumbled. Embarrased beyond belief, she got up and shook her pelt. "You didnt see anything...right?" she asked, giggling a bit.

River smiled and sighed. "Ah, well. It's not the end of the world. It's not like you've never tripped before, anyway," she said smugly, walking forward. "Now, let's go!" she yipped and smiled, touching his foreleg with her paw before sprinting off.

Khaz laughed again. He sprinted after river catching up with her almost imeadiatly. "where are we going exactly?" he asked her looking around. He didn't recognize the scenery that started to surround them. He shook it off and thought we'll find out way back and continued to run at her side.

River wanted to shrug but couldnt, seeing as how she was running. ((lol)) "Wherever we end up is where we're going, Khaz. Just go with the flow~" she yipped. Soon her belly started to rumble, and her pace lessened. Finally, she looked around and a horrible and wonderful thought made it's way into her pup-like mind; she had no clue where they were. She didn't show the worry that was eating at her insides, and instead whined. "I'm hungry..." she murmured. "Can we hunt? Together? You can show me your skills!" ((sorry that took so long..))

Khaz laughed again and nodded "Sure" he smiled "I think i smell some deer over here" he told her flicking his tail and ran towards the scent of a small heard of deer.

"Deer?" River whispered, crouching low and slinking forward quickly. Soon the scent became very pungent and delicious to her; the special scent that only deer had mixed with the cold stinging almost-scent of snow. ((brb))

Khaz Lead River towards the deer. "find one and when your right next to it jump, i think you know how to kill it" he wispered as quietly as possible. He spotted a doe with a limp. he knew that if River and him worked together the could catch it easily. "that one" he said signaling towards the doe.

River turned her attention to the injured doe and nodded slightly. She crept forward slowly, with Khaz at her side.

Khaz broke away from River. When he was just behind the deer it squeaked and the small herd started to run. The doe was running slowly. he and River kept up with it. whe he started snapping at the deer he called "jump!"

River did as she was told, landing on the deer's back. She grabbed hold of it's skin and clung on, feeling it's blood drip between her fangs.

She opened her jaws and bit down on the back of it's neck. She felt and heard the deer's neck bone crack.

When Khaz saw River bite he stopped snapping and knew that she had killed the deer. he was Proud of her. he smiled and watched as the other deer dissapeared over the hill. "Good job!" he told River

River hopped off the lifeless body and smiled a genuine, toothy smile. "I did it! I did it I did it I did it!!!" She hopped around like a hyped-up pup, grinning and yipping and howling with glee. "Thanks a bunch, Khaz!"
