Josh put all his weight on his haunches, wings spread from his side, and teeth bared in the startings of a feral snarl. He was directly behind the girl, and he could already hear the thumping  of her heart, and he could already smell the fragrant smell coming off of her blood.

He bunched his muscles, and prepared to lunch. He aimed for the back of her neck.

Lidya saw another dog...or something like that, and she sat still under her tree and watched intently. Hopefully there would be blood. Maybe he wouldn't finish it? She was hungry. She licked her lips and narrowed her eyes in interest as she waved her tail and thumped it on the ground imaptiently.

Come on.. a clean kill at least..  

Josh lunged, teeth meeting their mark.  The girl didn't even have time to scream before it was over. He snapped her neck with a satisfying crack and then drained the body of all the blood. He wobbled off of it, feeling full, but still craving blood. He looked back at her, and yelped in surprise.

The girl looked almost, if not exactly, like Sarah had. His stomach gave a horrible wretch, and he turned away from her. 

Those days were over. He would never fall in love again, because to love is to destroy, and to be loved is to be destroyed. Look where being loved by Josh got Sarah. He shook his head, tucked his wings in and padded past Lidya without another glance at her. He knew she was there.

Josh fought the urge to tear her throat out. "Nice face," he retorted angrily, stalking past her. His wings fluffed out, because he was aggitated.

 Josh curled up beneath his favourite willow tree and closed his eyes, wishing he could sleep. But he couldn't; he was an insomniac. Not to mention he was part vampire.

He worked on hardening the wall that held his memories of his human and early immortal life. The past could not fix the future, so he would pretend it had never happened.

Josh drew back from her like he'd been electrocuted. He spun around and said over his shoulder quietly, "You just missed it."

 He darted away from her, breathing in ragged gasps of pain. The heart and memories he'd sewn up tightly had just been torn open, leaving a worse wound than before.

-- Hrm... -thinks very very hard- --

Lydia rubbed up against a tree trying to get an itch she couldn't reach. She then went into a town, making sure that no mortals saw her. If they did, well they were screwed. She p*censored*ed by Josh like she didn't even care, rubbing against the dumpster trying to get the itch. She growled angrily. She padded over to a nearby puddle and started to lap it up.

Lydia jumped with Josh growled. She went into her human form instinctively. She looked around suspiciously.  

A young girl about seven looked around, eyes twinkling. She caught sight of Josh, and screamed loudly. All the other mundanes around the block stopped and started to search for her.

"OH. SH!T." Josh cursed.
