"Don't be embara.ssed about being hungry," Lacey said, sighing. "You really are shy, huh?"

Bree smled and said, "Sure. I haven't had good food in a long time. My parents are out of town, so I'm left to my own resources. Plus, I can't cook worth a flip."

Rain nodded at what Bree said. He had actually been cooking for Bree, and staying at her house, due to Bree being terrified of the werewolves. Or at least that's what she had told him.

Shyloh was sitting cross-legged on the side of the road, lost in thought, when the sounds of shouting reached her. Curiously, she stood and made her way to where a group of people were gathered. A couple cars were near them, and from what Shyloh could see something had obviously happened.

A red flag was going up in her mind, warning her about the number of people she would be around, but she ignored it and kept walking. Another thing screaming for her attention, as it had been for days, was her situation. With all her family and friends dead, and her....issue--she didn't like to think about what it actually was--she wasn't in the best position to survive.

"Hey," she said softly, hesitantly. "I heard shouting. Did something happen?"

Shade had unknowingly stepped into a huge opportunity. He didn't know whether it was good or bad yet, but he wasn't letting it go to waste.

Five or so people stood clustered together around two cars, talking. Another girl was hovering a ways away. Shade's risk-taking nature was daring him to approach them. Grinning, he walked right up to the athletic-looking girl with raven-dark hair. "What's goin' on?" he asked boldly, looking around.

Another girl there was strong-looking with blue-streaked pixie hair, and a third was short and blonde. The girls spiked his interest, of course. Though the pale, scary-looking guy made him a little wary.

Shyloh met the girl's glare with her own, just as electric. This girl should know better than to react so badly around strangers, she thought to herself. These days, you never know if the person you're having a conversation with is human or not.

What really bothered her was that she had full-on slapped the boy who'd approached them, just because he'd asked a simple question. Shyloh knew she had a short fuse, and this girl was causing it to very quickly burn away.

Shade staggered, just barely, and caught his balance. His eyes were wide, shocked at Pixe Girl's reaction. Didn't know asking one question deserved THAT. After all, it wasn't his fault the other guy had fainted. Maybe he had a weak heart or something.

He arched his dark brows at her. "Feisty. I like it." He crossed his arms. "So, got a name? Or would you prefer I just refer to you as Pixie?"

A shout reached Shyloh's ears, and she turned to see two approaching figures. She looked back at the others. No one else seemed to notice them.

Shyloh shrugged and walked slowly towards the two figures. Both looked a little older than her, and she crossed her arms, warily watching them. "Hi," she called once they came closer.

Rain, not liking to be around this many people, faded into the background. He sat on the hood of his car, and watched the scene take place.

Bree walked up to Fenneck. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" She stepped in front of her, making sure that she saw her facial ex
pression, which was very, very angry. "Don't just slap the hell out of others!"

Lacey looked at Shade, feeling sorry for him. She put her hand on his arm and squeezed slightly. "You okay?" Of course, Lacey could've taken a couple slaps. She was a boxer. Anyway, she turned her attention back to Shade. She could see the faint outline of Fenneck's hand still on his cheek. "That looks like it stung."

Bree backed up, sitting beside Rain on the hood of his car. "Good god, this group is interesting," Rain said, smiling.

"I agree," Bree said back, clearly frustrated.

Lacey yawned and said, "I'm Lacey, famous boxer." She leaned against a street light pole, and set down her large duffle bag that held all of her boxing equipment. "Shade, huh?" Lacey tapped her chin. "Is that your nickname?"

"Yep. That's my full name." Lace smirked right back. He was definately mysterious. She liked that.
