While they walked, Molly thought about what she reminded herself of in the kitchen- her power, her ability. Audiokinesis. Molly exhaled. It would seem odd to the others that she had never tried out her power, especially after she overheard it.

Molly squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block out the painful memory that had occured directly after she overheard the scientists. Her friend lying on the sewer floors behind her. Legs twisted, eyes gouged out, blood creating a mini waterfall into the stream of sewage, dying it crimson. Molly felt her chest clenching, reliving the terrifying, heart-wrenching moment.

Stop! She commanded herself suddenly. Don't think about that. It's over now.
But, well, now that she was in apparently safe hands back at Dr. Martinez's house, wasn't it a perfect time for her to practise her power?
Molly forced her muscles to loosen, then she stopped midstep, concentrating on the sounds around her. She wind, Iggy's breathing, the far-off street noises.She tried to hear beyond them.

Molly's eyes widened as the noises around her burst, becoming louder than she would have thought possible. The breeze roared in her ears, and instead of Iggy's breathing she heard his heartbeat like a drum right beside her.
"Ow," She mumbled to herself, her ears throbbing. I guess I should learn to control it. She toggled with the volume around her until it was back at the regular level. Then she shrugged off her jacket. "This is the place you mentioned, right?" She asked Iggy, glancing around her. They were in the middle of a wide field, with shrubs and small flowers dotting the ground.

Without waiting for a response, Molly ran forward and jumped into the air, beating her wings to get some altitude. Her wings still hurt, but the wound hadn't been as bad as she though. Molly soared upwards, the wind whipping her hair back.

Max jumps into the sky after him. After flying for a bit she sees Molly flying. Without thinking, she tackles her mid-air. 

Molly yelped with surprise, her wings buckling. Struggling for a moment, she began beating her wings faster than ever, trying to regain her balance. She twisted wildly, throwing Max off, then spiralled down to get out of her reach. After a pause she rocketed back up, fist co.cked to punch.
"I knew I couldn't trust you!" She spat, fury etched on her face, swinging her fist upwards at Max's face.

The punch got Max in the jaw, but she replied with a harder punch to Molly's head. "You couldn't trust me?! I invited a SPY to stay with us and now Angel's gone! What did you do to her?!" Max yelped, throwing herself at Molly. 

Molly's head snapped back with the force of the blow, blood welling in her mouth, but she was immediately back in focus again. Though her eyes flashed dangerously, a hint of confusion showed as well. Cautiously, she backed up, hands held close to her in a defensive position, protecting her center.
"What do you mean?" She asked warily. "I'm not a spy. And I didn't do anything to Angel, whoever she is." Her voice turned hard. "Don't be so stupid. What did you base this theory of yours off, anyways?" She glared at Max. "I guess I was wrong about you." She almost sighed, but didn't want to give Max the satisfaction.

"Shut up!" Molly shouted, clenching her fists at her sides. "I don't work for Itex! I don't work for anyone! I'm not listening to anyone anymore, not you or the Institute!" She was seething by this point. "I'm not lying about anything I said, and I've risked every ounce of freedom I had by telling you about myself. Who's to say you're not working for Itex, and this is all a big trap?"
Molly returned the glare coldly. "I'm leaving." She snapped, then turned and began flying in the opposite direction, venting her anger silently with each wingbeat.

Molly hovered in the air. Turning around, she hissed "It's not my doing. I don't know what you're talking about." She looked Max in the eye, trying to calm herself down. "You won't let me go until I either confess or prove my innocence, right?" Molly sighed. "Well, I can't do either. I'll help you look for her though."
The gesture was painfully nice, considering the circumstances, and Molly resisted the urge to throw another argument back. She clamped her teeth together, waiting to see what Max would say.

Molly stared at her icily. "As if," She mumbled, then yanked her arm away. Without another word she began soaring in the direction of Dr. Martinez's house. "I'll check the houses surrounding yours," She called back. Putting on an extra burst of speed, she wheeled through the air on her tapered Swift wings, catching current after current and riding them.

Within a minute she was back at the front lawn. She flapped her wings as she landed, balancing herself, and then folding her wings back against her spine. She was still barefoot, and looking below her she could see the scarlet stains on the gr*censored* from her injured feet.
I'm in better hands now, Molly reminded herself. Or, I hope so.
She dashed inside, grabbed a close by pair of flip-flops and, pulling her jacket on, ran back outside.

She took the small path next to the house that led to the street. Barely a few minutes p*censored*ed before she was confronted with a bustling- but quaint, compared to New York- street. Glancing around edgily, Molly took the steps to the first house.
Molly took a deep breath and tapped the door with her knuckles, half-hoping no one would answer. Deliberately going to strangers and talking with them used to be out of the question. Now, it was necessary.

A middle-aged woman swung the door open, her eyes narrowed and her face lined with wrinkles of stress. She glared at Molly. "Yes? What do you want? I won't sign up for any charities if that is what you want."
Molly stared at her for a moment before speaking. "Er, um, no, that's not it Ma'am. You see, my little sister ran off from me while we were in town and I can't find her anywhere... Do you know where she is? Did you see her? Did someone else see her?" Molly blinked, realizing that she had no idea what Angel looked like.
"No," Snapped the woman. "Now kindly leave. I'm very busy. Good luck." The door shut sharply in Molly's face.

Geez, She thought irritably. Could there be anyone more rude?
Doesn't matter, though. I'm going to check out her house. She seems evil enough to be a worker at the Institute, The thought made her shudder, but she hopped the fence anyway, trying to find a window.
Ah, here. Molly glanced up the brick wall and at the vast window. It was closed, unfortunately. Molly scanned the area around her before fanning out her wings and launching into the air.
She gripped the window sill, wings still beating for balance. The window was not only closed, but locked.
No other way, then. Molly carefully deadened the sound all around her- surrounding the window and the room which it led to. She felt oddly numb as her hearing went blank. Molly co.cked her fist, then punched the window. It shattered but there was no sound. Molly clambered in, then stood and dusted herself off.
Constantly cutting off the sounds around her, she began searching for Angel.

Iggy sighed and shot twords Molly "I guess i'll help you look for Angel." Iggy said.

"How did they now where we were?" Max murmured to herself, completely ignoring Fang's questions. "She has to be bugged...How else would they know where we are? They couldn't...Could they?" Max's brows furrowed as she thought through the situation at hand. 

"Do you stilll have that chip in your arm? There could be one in any of us."
