James chucked lightly, taking a breath before speaking again. "I meant in this tree." He informed her, watching her cheeks turn a delicious red before she glanced down at the school again. He didn' take his eyes off of her face when she looked over the school or when she asked the question. It was human nature to be curious.

"You become a fledgling when you're bitten and injected by a vampire thats gone through the complete transformation. Or by a 'mature' vampire to put it simply." He corrected himself.

James swallowed, moving in closer. He pulled her close to him and tilted her head so that her neck was in plain view. He felt his fangs lengthen and sharpen to a point as fine as needles. He leaned in, opening his mouth far wider than any normal person could ever hope to open their and sank his teeth in. Instantly using his abilities to keep the injection from hurting her or waking her for that matter.

The process took the total of little under a minute and he drew back again. Jumping out of the tree and resting her against the trunk on the ground. The awakening could be traumatic and Fledglings weren't pain proof immediately. Falling out of a tree wouldn't be too good.

Naida's eyes snapped open a half a minute later and she could see everything. "What did you do?" she asked, scrambling her feet and trying to get sense of her new found abilities. She stumbled a bit, almost falling onto him and then stopped herself. Her eyes were a bright silver color unlike the red color most fledglings had.

"Did you?" She started to ask, but was stopped by the scent of blood in the air. It took all of her strength not to go running towards it...

"You had left your scent all over that tree." He said, looking up at the branch she had been sitting on. "If another, besides myself, came alone and had smelled your scent and hadn't yet learned self control then you would have most definitely been tracked down and killed." This had happened plenty of times before.
