Since the beginning, Shapeshifters have been rejected by normal society. Some have been tortured, some have been locked up, and some were even killed. But now the Shapeshifters have found one place that they can call their own.
Paradise Isle.
This large island has lush woodlands, grasslands, lakes, rivers, beaches and even a mountain range.
However, some cruel 'normal folk' are beginning to plot an attack on Paradise Isle. How will the Shapeshifters defend their way of life?
Standard RP rules apply here. Romance is essential in the RP. One character per person, and no 'perfect' characters (meaning basically no invincible characters or anything like that). Your character may have up to six different forms, which are divided into the following catagories:
Aquatic: Basically anything that can swim, freshwater or oceanic, that can't fall into another catagory
Terra: Anything that lives on land that does not fall into another catagory
Air-born: Anything that can fly that does not fall into another character
Mythical: Any mythical creature
Prehistoric: Any prehistoric creature
Other: One more form of your choice
Here's my character's bio:
Name: Jasmine Brogan
Gender: Female
Age: 16

Personality: Jasmine has quite possibly one of the most mysterious personalities or all. She hates being in big groups most of the time, she hates speaking unless spoken to, and has a notoriously short and violent temper among the shifters of Paradise Isle, though underneath she has incredibly high intelligence and courage, and is actually a great leader if given the chance. She has great appreciation for art, music and nature, though she usually keeps this to herself.
History (optional): She was born on the Isle and from day one she has made a reputation for herself. However, when Jasmine was 14, some of the dreaded 'normal folk' killed her parents and it was Jasmine who led the Great Rebellion against them. The Isle has calmed down since then and now watches over the place, secretly watching over it.

Personality: Jacob is outgoing, but likes to control things and becomes upset if something doesn't go his way. He becomes shy around people he likes, and rarely makes the first move in those situations. He is a quick thinking leader who never leaves anyone behind.
History (optional): Jacob was one of the people who discovered Paradise Isle. He knows the shapeshifter who revealed the place they were going, but refuses to tell for reasons unknown to the others.

(do they have to have a human form to look human or do you automatically have a human form and also do you have to have those six or can you have two of one kind rather than having one of each like for example I don't want to have a prehistoric animal)

Personality: She is very unsocial and perfers to be alone than to be with others. She is one of the types of people that most people don't like to be around and has problems controlling her anger,at times. She is,in fact,emo,but,if she wants to be,can be loving,social and kind. Rp rest out...

((Accepted, everyone! And, foxtail15, you automatically have a human form, though it is possible to have TWO human forms; for example if your 'default' form has blonde hair, blue eyes and a height of 5'8'', then you could have another form that had black hair, brown eyes and a height of 4'5''. Also, you don't HAVE to have one of each 'form catagory'. E.g., if you didn't want a prehistoric form, you could substitute it for another form in the 'Other' catagory or leave it entirely.))

((Ok. It seems everyone is ready, so I'll start us off. Happy RPing, everyone!))
The rivers of Paradise Isle were varied; some were slow flowing, some were like rapids, some were shallow and some were undescribably deep. But all of them were of crystal clear, cool water that was faintly sweet to the taste. The taste was because of certain minerals found in the water, which were actually beneficial when consumed.
A pink shape rose beneath the surface of a particularly calm, yet deep river and burst through it, spinning and then splashing back into the water, snout first. It was quite a thing to see; Amazon River Dolphins were exceedingly rare. It was a privalage for anyone to see one, and even more of a privalage for a shapeshifter to have one as a form.
That was why Jasmine was particularly proud of this form. It was not her favourite, but was the one that gave her the most bragging rights. Because of this highly distinctive form, Jasmine was easily recognised.
Jasmine poked her Amazon River Dolphin form head out of the surface to look around. The eyesight of her current form was extraordinarily poor, but its echolocation was the best of any creature. So it was kind of like seeing.

Eri (( forgot to say she was a Raccoon. )) was at her usual routine rumaging through the dense foliage of trees looking for nuts to eat. When she finished nut gathering she nibbled on walnuts staring at a sea creature she never seen before, a unique waterfish. (( Very low vocabulary. )) She observed that it had not yet even noticed her as she slipped back behind a bush and took a nap in the warm heat.

Lily was into her routine of racing random shifters,that also had cheetah forms,and seeing who was the fastest. She raced around a few trees and over a few rocks. With the other shifters on her tail. She laughed and kept running until she ran to the finish line they had dug into the dirt and stopped. "I'm still the fastest shifter,in cheetah form,in this group,so give up.",she said as she shifted back to her human form.

Who was making that noise and interrupting her nap? She stretched for a bit and slithered as silent as a shadow deeper into the forest. Where she would seek peace in her sleep. When all of a sudden as she was walking, she spotted a cheetah. Such scary speed they have. Eri shrinked for a moment, then dashed for her life upon a tree where she would seek safety. She glimpsed the cheetah turn into a twofeet. ((human)) Was her mind playing tricks? She decided that she was to have a fit sleep. In order to stop hallucinating.

Lily noticed a racoon in the distance,but ignored it. "Well,better luck tomorrow morning.",she said and turned into her Red-Tail Hawk form. She said bye to the other shifters as they turned into different forms and took off. She then flew up into the air and looked around at the ground below,"I love being a shifter.",she said in a half human voice,half screech.

Adelaide watched as the cheetah's raced through the dense foliage of the isle. She was currently in her lithest, fastest form, a cheetah. She gave a chuckle as the cheetah who won declared herself the fastest. It may be, Lily, but you haven't raced me yet! Adelaide knew she wasn't the fastest though - at least not on land. In the open skies, she knew no one could beat her. Her pheonix form was one of the fastest forms a shapeshifter could attain. She stretched out her body before sitting up and eyeing the rest of the panting cheetahs. You'd meat the same fate in my sky.
Using her strong legs, Adelaide coiled her muscles to jump several feet into the sky, where she quickly changed into her golden-eagle form. Hopefully she could join her friend up in the sky.
[Do you mind if Lily and Adelaide are friends? They have somewhat similar shifts. ;) Like the bird and cheetah.] |
