A brother and sister walked side by side down a road lined with houses. There didn’t seem any people here and the older boy seemed curious and suspicious at the same time.
“I see you’re scared, Berrin, maybe we should leave,” a black wolf slithered up from behind and yawned as it stood beside Berrin, “You seem scared too, Viola.” the wolf said, turning her intimidating gaze towards the girl, who merely looked away.
“We’re not scared,” Berrin insisted as he and the wolf got into a conversation. Viola’s eyes remained on the street beside her and, in what seemed to be a split second , a blue-tinted tiger appeared beside her. Viola sighed, resting her hand on the tiger. “What do you think, Repent?” Viola asked, her brother and the wolf clearly engaged in their own conversation to hear her. “Right now, I’m unsure… But this place is strange, maybe we should turn back.” Repent replied, gazing at the houses around them.
“No, Alexai, we’re not going to leave.” Berrin was saying to the wolf when Viola finally looked back at them.
She sighed, Alexai and Repent had told them they should head back, but the two siblings still wanted to stay. Suddenly, both Repent and Alexai froze, their bodies erect and eyes locked on a house down the road. “What is it?” Berrin whispered to Alexai, his gaze traveling to the house Alexai and repent were staring at. Without a word, all four began to stalk quietly towards the house.
