Hikari doused the flame with her other hand, by running it over the blade. It made a small sizzle. She placed the dagger back into its pouch. She calmly approached the stranger. Whilst he was still in the dark, she could tell he was a male due to his broad shoulders. She then realised he was topless. She spun round and blinked. She then returned to face the fair hared stranger, and nodded a “hello.”

((is he a mute intentionally, or have his tongue cut out or something?))

(vocal cords were severed when he was a kid, bandit raid killed his parents and were torturing him before killing him but he escaped, was found and taken care of by his mentor (who is dead now) but his vocal cords were never healed, nor has the scar on his throat :3 )

Remael's head tilted to the side as he regarded the curious girl. He lifted his hand in greeting, unsure of what else to do. He rarely came into contact with other people, mainly because communication was so difficult, but as long as it stayed like this, with simple body language, Remael could cope.

After a minute or two of no vocal reply, hikari realised his situation. He wasn’t the first mute she had come into contact with. She leant against the tree that stood behind her and folded her arms. “you should be able to understand some speech right?” she asked curiously.

“I thought that was the case.” She said, then smiled at the stranger.  She backed away from the tree with her hands behind her head  and  then accidently fell over tree root. She started laughing whilst in the leaf litter and dirt, then she closed her eyes. She inhaled through her nose, the exhaled out through her mouth. “Wow, it sure is peaceful here. I can understand why you would want to be here.” She said with a sigh.

Hikari knelt down in front of the mongoose. “hey there little fella, you don’t wanna do that again or you might get roasted.” She said with a smile.

Hikari fell backwards startled a little,she blinked twice, then smirked. "well look who we have here, a fire freak, a topless mute, and a talking mongoose. well arn't we normal." she said with a chuckle.

just then, she felt a droplet of water fall through the canopy. "my bag!" she yeld, then sprinted off to retrieve her soon soaking bag.

Remael watched the mongoose with keen interest as Hikari dashed away. He lowered himself onto his haunches and stared at the little creature, a slight smile creeping onto his face. He held out a hand, hoping the mongoose would understand that he wanted to pet her.

Lyra opened her eyes when she began to feel rain falling. She had somehow fallen asleep and her back was now stiff as a board. With a curse, she started running, crashing through the trees as she tried to make it back to the road and the small gazebo that stood near it. The only warning she had that she was about to run into someone was a flash of red hair between the leaves, and then she tumbled head over heels, a cry escaping from her lips.

Hikari crashed into some one, and then fell on the floor. "i've got to stop doing that, she said as she got up. "oh hey, rocky was it? Cant stay..." she said lifting up her bag. "...I dont like rain." she darted back to the trees, then went to see how the person she had crashed into was.

Lyra groaned as she picked herself up from the ground. Her hair was now entwined with twigs and the rain was beginning to start in earnest. She looked up, glancing at the person she had crashed into. She was momentarily stunned by her cuteness, those fiery red locks waving around her head, such pretty blue eyes that shone even in the absence of the sun. She then regained herself and stood with an apology immediately on her lips. "I'm so sorry, I was in a rush and didn't see... I'm so clumy, I'm sorry."

"well, I'm glad to see your alright." hikari replied. "I'm the one who should be apoligizing to you.so sorry about that." As she looked at the girl now standing infront of her, a wave of calm engulfed hikari for a few seconds. Then realizing that the topless mute was still in the forest, snapped her out of the trance. she looked over her shoulder and could see him knelt down infront of the mongoose.
Hikari peered up at the graying sky. she started panting as the rain was getting heavyer. she started to scan the area, looking for a place with a thicker canopy of leaves. She left the edge of the forest and sat down,her back against a tree, hugging her knees, and started whispering reasuring words to herself.
