Aurora was waiting for cl*censored* to start she had gotten here before anyone else which hardly ever happened. She sat outside the school waiting . She yawned and opened the book she was now reading. The beginning was boring but, it seemed like it was getting more exciting. She poped her last piece of gum in her mouth and started to chew. Yum, mint my favorite! She thought. She watched the bus pull up to the school and up up and stretched her arms.

Jake got off the bus and headed for the school doors. He opened one and went to his first period cl*censored* and waited for the teacher to get there and start.

Aurora yawned and walked in side the school after everyone else. She walked into her cl*censored* and sat down. She looked at Jake. Hm, I have never seen him around before...Must be new. Aurora thought. She looked down at her book and started to read again.

Aurora looked away stuffing her face in her book,"Hi." She said in a shy voice,"Are you new? I haven't seen you around before." She put her book down and sat up strait in her chair and looked at the teacher.

Kailia sat at her desk, looking as bored as ever in clas.s. She had no desire to even be here. Besides, my foster parents don't have a care in the world what grades I get. That was true. They never had an interest in her homework or what was happening in school for her. Kanara had used to pay attention to school, but now it just sounded ridiculous even to do so.

Dravius sprinted into cl*censored* late, as usual. After reciving a stern lecture from Mrs. Lenherr, he was told firmly, "Since there are no single partners left, Dravius, you will be with Aurora and that new student." She said, pointing. Rolling his eyes, Dravius sat down with a thump next to Aurora and said, "What's up, Pus.sycat?"

Aurora looked down at her book. She hated school. It was boring and had to many people around! She didn't like to be around to many people. She yawned and felt the gum in her mouth. Opps. Forgot to take out my gum. Aurora thought. She tore a corner of her notebook out and stuck her gum in it. Hope no one noticed. She looked back down at her book.

"Nice." Jake whispered to her. He chuckled softly as he started to doodle on his notebook. He already learned this chapter at his other school so he didn't want to learn it again. As soon as the teacher would look at him he would pretend to do the work then when she turned to write on the chalkboard he would continue to doodle.

Aurora set her head on her hands and looked at her book again. She wasn't really listening to anything it said but just staring at words. She flipped to the next page. She looked up at the teacher who was glaring at Dravius. I hate it when I get that look. I am glad the she isn't looking at me! Aurora thought.

Soon the bell rang and Jake went to his next cl*censored*. When he was in the hallway a voice came over the intercom, "Jake Clark to the office please, Jake Clark." it said then it was silent. Jake didn't know why he was called to the office but he went anyway. As soon as he got there he saw his dad through the gl*censored* window. Jake froze in his tracks. His dad saw him and went over to him. He was drunk. He pulled Jake to the restroom where he took him into one of the stalls. He took a knife out of his pocket and started to cut Jake in the back with it. Tears were streaming down Jakes face and when it was over he went to his next cl*censored*. He wiped away his tears but his eyes were still red and puffy.
