Corrine had an absoloute look of distaste on her face as three others asked why the stars being pewrer was so bad. "Cori." She introduced herself curtly, attempting not to let her annoyance get the best of her as she looked at the three, Kiri being amung them. Her gaze settled on Jethro, since he had asked first, half glaring at the boy who had spoken up. "As many of you apparently haven't remembered since yesterday, the killer left me in particularly a letter, one which they adressed the murders and charged us with figuring out who they were." Cori's eyes intensifyed a little, as if she were extremely angry. This was only partially true, since in reality she was just trying to keep a cool head. "The killer refered to the murder mystery as the Mystery of the Pewter Stars." She pointed out coldly, then continued. "And refered to themself as the Pewter God." "Does this answer your questions on why pewter is so goddamed important?" What bothered Cori the most about their asking, was that they seemed not to care. It was as if the lives of the others that the so called "Pewter God" were meaningless. It was as if the life of James was meaningless.

Jethro sank into his chair when he felt the girls glare. He chewed his lip as she lectured him, she seemed so angry. All he asked was a simple question. "Does this answer your questions on why pewter is so goddamed important?" She practically screamed at him. He sank a little further into his. He knew how in shows the football jocks are normally stupid, but this was the first time he actually felt it. He still diid not see why pewter was important, in his mind it was just useless tin, it not like it had any specail meaning as in a mythical sense, it not like it was something used in a sacrificial sense. He looked back at the girl. "Yeah, that clears it up. Thanks." He said before averting his eyes from the girls angry one. He looked down at the floor, he normally was the steely cold type, but this chick was like serious intimidating.

((xD Jethro's scared of Cori. No, she's not exactly yelling at him. O: More of speaking in that "calm" tone parents used when you can tell they're really pissed. How does he not get how pewter was important, when the killer calls itself the Pewter God, may I ask? It makes me a bit confused at how he didn't get it...))

((Well thats really the only connection, and I think he's looking for something more. Pewter stars is just a type of calling card, really. And a name. So, I do know, but Kiri didn't quite get the connection (although she seems to get lots of others).)) Kiri smiled. She knew Cori would sort it out faster than her. "Sorry." She was a bit amused. "I'm a bit... off today." Kiri had been trying too hard to focus on the murder, it was throwing her concentration out the window. "I understand now. So, its like a... metal calling card?" ((Fail. I really am off today.))

((Yeah, that's the only connection. She knows it's the calling card because the killer mentioned pewter stars in the letter, so she fears them, I suppose. But it is of some importance. Uh, so I don't really know what to post because my brain is kind of like... "PHAIL" today. D:))

((Yeah pretty much was Fizzy said. He figure, so what he calls himself the pewter god, and leave pewter stars. But he figure pewter not much to be a god of, considering it like tin. And Jethro is just stupid either way, so yeah... That was a total fail explaination but I totally get it. And I'm not sure what to post.))

[[Threvan = another albino English major? What are the odds!]] Neil listened intently, hands folded politely in front of him. His pencil sat on his notebook, forgotten. For a moment he just listened to her, but after a moment decided he needed to write things down, and proceeded to do so. He paused in his writing, his pencil hovering over the paper in obvious irritation. 'Is he serious? Is he seriously that stupid? Did he read the letter at all?' He frowned and finished writing his note. In all honesty he hadn't expected them to understand any of this. But at least understand that pewter used in the crime has to do with the freaking murderer who has pewter in his name. And listen to the other girl, at her response to what Cori said. Was that amusement? Did she not see how hard it was for her to come up here and tell everyone about what happened? What happened to her boyfriend? Now it was no longer disappointment at their obvious lack of deductive skills, now he was disgusted. He wrote down the three names of the people who had spoken. Threvan, Kiri and Jethro. Underneath he wrote "heartless idiots" and "suspects". He underlined heartless idiots. "Cori, you're... thank you for standing up to talk to us today. It really shouldn't have been you. My condolences for your loss." He didn't have anything else to say. At this point he didn't have anything to add for the investigation, and it would be best to just listen- but he had to say something to her, what with all these heartless stupid people making this more difficult.

Ziggy suddenly (sp?) hissed angrily. Her eyes pierced Neil like jade daggers. Her back arched and her fur fluffed, jagged. Kiri looked, suprised, at the cat in her lap. Instantly, Kiri's eyes looked into Neils. Suspect. Angry. Unhappy, quick to *censored*ume. Deep, but not on an emotional level. He thinks too much. If Kiri had been in a cartoon, her hair would be sky-high. She felt like hissing herself. Ziggy showed her so much... Who to trust, who to... well, not trust. Her eyes flicked to Cori, who knew who so well, and her flames were a bit quenched. But a cinder remained. Neil was not to be trusted... Yet, anyway. Maybe he would change. People were always changing, like the sands on a sea, or the clouds in the sky. Ziggy spat one last time and lay back down, eyes not yet leaving Neil. Kiri pet her absently, knowing Cori was not offended by Kiri's amusement. It was calming. Cori understood Kiri. Most didn't. Most thought things like "Oh, what a freak. What a monster." Kiri was misunderstood, in many ways. Sometimes she was "depressed" for petting her cat so much. "Superstitious" for owning a black one. An "airhead" for "staring into space", when she was thinking. "Idiot", "stupid", "moron", "jerk". All names that had shoved her, pushed her, had been scrubbed into her face. They made her "eternally angry". But some people thought "nice", "smart", "a good writer". "Pretty", maybe once or twice. ((continue later? gtg.))

[[D:<]] Neil's lip twitched as he stared at the cat. 'What in the-?' He had to look around to see what the heck it could be spitting at, but everyone else was focused on Cori. Well, now the cat was nothing like his uncle. He didn't hiss and spit. As much of a prissy, lazy man he was, he was against drawing attention to himself. At first he had thought that black cat was cute- but now, now he found it a bit creepy. That sound they make. It sent shivers down his spine. It took him a moment to realize that the cat's owner was giving him a glare that could kill- well, at least kill him, he was sure. 'What did I do? Does she think I flicked her cat or something? I'm way over here!' He quickly looked away from her. 'Maybe it was the comment you made.' He didn't particularly like this voice, it was the voice of a friend of his step-fathers; an eccentric man that owned a flower shop down the street. 'What? Saying "I'm sorry for you loss" How is that offensive to anyone?!' He was suddenly very angry. Why help these people? One of them was the killer. The authorities might as well save everyone the trouble and have all of them killed. Twelve more victims, but everyone else gets to go on with their lives. 'But that's no better than what the killer is doing.' He told himself, biting his lip. 'Is it?' asked the other voice. 'Is it really? How come they deserve to live before everyone elses safety?' Neil shook his head. He wasn't going to listen to him, he could try to be as bitter as he wanted about this, but he knew he didn't want anyone else to die- not anyone, not even that creepy cat. He'd sooner sacrifice himself to save these ignorant people.
