Pearlpelt let out a large yawn. Opening both of his eyes slightly, he moaned. "So it wasn't a dream....." He hissed to himself. He moaned and stood up to stretch his legs. Pearlpelt padded out of the warriors den, and over to the Fresh-Kill pile. Before taking a mouse from it, he glanced at the Leader's den. he longed for Nyghtstar to come out and greet everyone with purrs. Shaking his head, he quickly turned awaw with his mouse.

Snowflare looked up to see Pearlpelt pad away from the Warrior's den. "Looks like almost everyone is up," He jumped up and bounded out of the den and after Pearlpelt. He must miss Nyghtstar dearly....He sighed to himself. Don't we all...His tail twitched with anger. Nyghtstar, why did you leave us? He frowned. Snowflare walked to Pearlpelt and rubbed against his clan mate. "Are you ok?" He breathed. Pearlpelt looked up from his breakfast and nuzzled Snowflare in a friendly way. "Ofcourse, Thank you for caring."

Silverpaw smiled, opening both his eyes to gaze outside of the Apprentice's den. Glancing at Daypaw, his grin grew wider. He stood up with a groan, and stretching his legs like every other day. He took one paw-step out of the den and welcomed the morning sun. Silverpaw's belly growled angirly for some rabbit, so he happily walked out of the den. He brushed past Pearlpelt and Snowflare, and looked unhappily at the Fresh-kill pile, no rabbits. Silverpaw frowned, he took a Shrew instead. Bounding up to Daypaw, he dropped the shrew at his feet. "Want to share?" He asked happily.

Starfrost nuzzled her belly, she had already been awake. She was too restless to sleep, she knew the kits were coming soon. She let out a small sigh, followed by a yawn. Looking up, she breathed in the sweet scent of the Nursery den. She smiled and curled up, then she noticed she was hungry. The scent od Shrew filled her nostrils, and she started to get up, she had caught another scent, it was Icestar. He had awakened. She curled up tighted and moved to the far end of the Nursery den.

Icestar hissed loudly, so loud, everyone in the camp could hear it. He jumped from the Leader's den, groaning and snarling to himself. He nodded to Sunflare, the Clan's Deputy and snatched a squirrel from the fresh kill pile, nearly knocking both Pearlpelt and Snowfrost down. They both said nothing, but just pad away from the horrible leader. Icestar shown no notice of Pearlpelt and Snowfrost.

Sunflare looked down on Willowpaw, his bouncy and excited apprentice. "Only slightly older than Coalpaw, Willowpaw." He purred. "You two will be having your warrior ceremonies soon, you know." Sunflare paused for a moment, thinking. "Perhaps we should do a patrol with Coalpaw and his mentor. Daypaw, Pearlpelt, Owlflight and Whisperpaw can do the other patrol." Approving with this thought, Sunflare nodded. "Follow me, Willowpaw." He said, padding off. "Owlflight!" He called. The black tom looked up and twitched his ear to acknowledge the deputy. "Yes, Sunflare?" He asked. "I want you to do a a patrol with Pearlpelt and her apprentice. And bring Whisperpaw with you too." Owlflight nodded, and raced off to find his apprentice and Pearlpelt. "And now, you two." Sunflare nodded at Nightstorm and Coalpaw. "Would you like to go on a patrol with Willowpaw and I?"

Coalpaw nodded excitedly. "Oh, this is will be good!" He purred. "A patrol with Sunflare!" He felt like running around excitedly, but contained it. 'This is a good chance to show Sunflare what a good warrior I could be!' Coalpaw thought enthusiastically. He knew that he wasn't far off from being a warrior, but he could perfect a few moves.

Daypaw looked around to see Hawkgaze. "Oh." She said in her dreamy, half-asleep voice. "Good morning, Hawkgaze." Moonsong looked up and padded up to Hawkgaze to sniff his wounds. "The herbs I gave you are working, I hope?" She asked.

Hawkgaze purred and nodded at Moonsong. ‘I think my leg is fine, let me see.’ He gave his hindleg a small stretch and bit back a yowl of pain. ‘Not so good,’ he meowed through clenched teeth. He could feel the muscles pull and strain against him. ‘The muscles are too stiff for me to do anything.’

He gave Moonsong a glance and peered down at his flank, which was packed with a poultice and covered with cobwebs. ‘What about my flank? I don’t want to become crippled while I’m still a young warrior.’

Willowpaw gave Coalpaw a shy look. ‘Coalpaw, can you imagine it?’ she mewed softly, looking up at the sky. ‘Warriors at last. What do you think your warrior name would be?’ She gave him a small smile and licked her chest fur self-conciously, a hot flush spreading through her fur.

Whisperpaw looked at Sunflare hopefully. ‘Which part of the territory are we patrolling? I hope it won’t be by the MarshClan territory, they’re really vicious I’ve heard.’ He gave his mentor a worried look.

Nightstorm nodded. ‘Good idea Sunflare. I think Coalpaw really would like to go on a patrol. Where did you have in mind for us?’

She flicked her tail lazily as she waited for the deputy’s answer, giving the stubborn tick behind her head one last scratch.

Sunstrike blinked sleepily and caughter Starfrost shrinking to the back of the nursery. Making sure that her kits were sleeping, she got up slowly and padded over to her friend, giving her a kind nuzzle on the head.

'Is there anything wrong?' she mewed urgently. 'Are the kits coming?'

Sunstrike shook her head sadly. 'You can't leave now though. They're going to come soon and it would be worse if we were in the forest. Once they're old enough I'll help you think of a plan. By then Leafkit and Lionkit will be older as well.'

She gave Starfrost a gentle lick, purring to soothe the frightened she-cat.

'I'll come with you,' Sunstrike mewed warmly. 'Let me wake up Leafkit and Lionkit. They'll want some fresh-kill too.' She padded over to her two kits, who lay in a heap in the center of her nest. As she neared she gave a low purr to wake them, and picked up Leafkit by the scruff, who lay on top of her nestmate.

'Rise and shine, kits. Time to eat!'

Lionkit snorted and opened his eyes cautiously, widening them when he saw his mother. 'I'm starving Sunstrike. Can we eat now?'

'I'm sure your kits will be the same. Hard to control but too adorable to reprimand,' Sunstrike meowed with a slight flick of her ear, showing her amusement. Lionkit stiffled a squeak of irritation as he bounded out of the den, Leafkit not far behind.

He ran towards the fresh-kill pile, accidentally barging into Icestar. 'Sorry!' he mewed with a mew of fear, shrinking back into his sister.

Starfrost hissed. She stood up, furious. She ignored the blood trickling down her leg, and licked Lionkit in a friendly way before breaking out into a run toward Icestar. She sprung up, tackling him. She bit down hard into his back and batted his ears. As if he expected it, Icestar flung Starfrost off of him and scratched her belly. He snarled. "You little..." He licked foreleg, whock was bleeding. "How dare you touch me.....You filthy cat!" He tackled her back, and bit her neck as she did to him, but much harder.

Sunstrike came out of the den right then, and gave a furious screech when she saw Icestar attacking her dear friend. 'Filthy fox-hearted mange-pelt!' she yowled defiantly.

Stormfang whirled around when he heard the yowls and gave a low growl within his throat. 'Icestar has gone too far this time. He must be finished.'

Starfrost went limp in Icestar's grip. He released her and let her fall to the ground. "You mouse-brained kit," He said without any emotion. "That goes to all of you!" He yowled. "Disrespect me, and perish! This cat shall not visit the Med.cat's den, or be treated for injuries what-so-ever." He added. Icestar shot an evil glare to the Kits and trotted back to his den.

Pearlpelt gasped and both Snowflare and himself ran to unconsious body. pearlpelt licked hr wounds and frowned. "Oh Starfrost..." He muttered. "What have you done....?" Snowflare mewed.
