((Oh, yes. Sorry 'bout that.))

Sollek stood over a box, guarding it as if it was the only food on earth.
He was such a mean spirited dog, almost attacking everything he saw.
Except humans, he was cowards with them.
With his history of them, he would never trust one again. This is why he was so aggressive, he treated dogs as he would humans. With a quick glance over the shoulder, he nestled down in his box, leaving one eye open until he was *censored*ured noone would dare try and steal his box. Or would they?

Kallik awoke again, looking around. It was so uncomfy, sitting on the gras.s. She couldn't stay on the gr*censored* forever. But then she looked at the dogs on boxes. No way, not with Sollek there, and definately--she would not risk her neck for something that was not a necessity.
Food was a necessity.

((Well, I will be on more now. I was only on here for like 5 minutes everyday, but now I'm on way more.))

Poltergeist slunk though the trees, blinking rapidly against the sun. He sighed gratefully when he found a crag, just large enough for his bulky form to slip through. It was damp and dark, just the way Poltergeist liked it.His red eyes welcomed and drank in the darkness that he loved so much.
Poltergeist hated the ring. There was all the bright lights, and so much movement. It made Poltergeist's already mental head spin.He loved the fighting aspect of it though.
Poltergeist jumped when he saw a dog-like shape flicker across the wall. He jumped up and growled at it, realizing it was only his shadow when it moved in time with him.

Whis zipped around the park, howling with joy. The open spaces, the freedom to run, it all made him happy. With his speed, he could hunt down his food, instead of having to forage for berries or go through the silver dens full of half-eaten food.
He could outrun any catcher that tried to bring him into the ring. That's what he believed, anyway.

Moug glanced one last time at the ring before his mouth opened, a yawn being released from his throat.  He shook out his coat, glancing towards the garbage that lined Silvergate park...common due to those cursed humans.  He saw a dog guarding the cardboard; and a sneer crossed his face.  His lips curled into a devious grin as his eyes became shallow as a wicked glare crossed them.  His fur pricked lightly as he heard the chatter of voices of canine and man.  He reconized many of them; having been here his whole life.  However; he had but to wonder... what was it like on the outside?

Sollek got up, shook his fur and then began to race to the garbage disposal.
Of course he was hungry, and he would fight for food. With seeing he had no challenger, because it was dead night. He grabbed an old piece of sandwich wrapped in some paper. Tearing at it, even getting a little bit of paper in his mouth. A pain of something, [Something he ate] made him whine uncontrollably. He felt as his stomach was ripping in half. He fought this pain though, would he dare lose his pride to this pain? It probably make him throw up, yes, make him a little weaker, but would that destroy his pride?

Kallik darted towards Sollek's empty box, dragging it away so he wouldn't attack her, while she was asleep. Finally! She thought. Oh, Sweet VICTORY! She nestled to it, as she would her mother when she was a pup, curling up content. Forgetting all the painful memories, being dumped like trash, she actually felt better.

((She likes her box. XD))

Kalite took a peek outside her cage. She saw a few dogs staring at them. Unable to tell their feelings through the gleam of their eyes, Kalite took out her anger on them. "Oh, yes, staring at another dog stuck inside this cage. Isn't it fun? Why don't you go and mind your own business?" She snarled, starting to slam her body towards the metal bars, causing the cage to rock back and forth violently.

-

Vesko watched from behind Kalite's cage, ensuring that she wouldn't see. He knew that Kalite was a fiery dog. Vesko sighed, wondering if she'll ever lose that trait. Knowing that staying there would only make him miserable, Vesko started the trek towards his box, stopping by the garbage disposal to sift through the junk in hopes for food. There, he saw Sollek. "Good morning, Sollek." Said Vesko, trotting towards the dog.

Zre said nothing in responce to Kalite.  Instead a devious sneer crossed her face.  Her eyes the deepest venom.  Cold and uncaring.  Amused by the pain in which the dogs in the cage would go through.  She had no care for what resulted from the brawl.  And frankly... the canines watched her when she fought.  Watched flesh be stripped from bone.  Watched the humans scream as the dead lay motionless as the victor stood.  Breathing heavily.  Blood dying his/her pelt... blood of not only the foe...but the victor as well.  She still sat statuelike.  Sat unmoving.  Sat with her demon eyes and her merciless posture.  But one thought stung her brain and her seemingly dead heart.  Why?

Moug glanced towards Kalite.  She was a quick tempered creature and strong as well...then again so was one canine in particular who was amoung those who watched... the one who sat on the balcony.  The one that had a chance of defeating even him... a dog that was quick on her feet...with a temper to match.  That dog was Zre...or "The Grim" as she was known to several humans and many dogs in the fights.  However... sometimes he doubted whether or not Zre was sane.
He pushed the thought from his mind and turned away from the metal cage in which so much blood was spilled.  Much innocent blood.  Some blood spilled that belonged to animals who had seen far to few seasons... but the fear and madness possessed by some of the older fighters was dominent.  Dominent over guilt and pity.  And he blamed the human devils for turning dogs into monsters.

"I'm fine." he insisted to Vesko, already walking away. Sollek growled to himself. He had thrown up twice, and felt so tired, and his box had been taken away. He searched a little while, but grew so sick of being awake, he didn't care that he slept right where the entrance was, an easy pick for humans. Ignorantly sleeping right where humans could take him. Ignorance is Bliss. That's another thing his mother said.

Kallik awoke cranky. All to some stupid foolbird. Making a ruckus, and waking her up. Stupid bird. They flew too high for her to kill, sadly. She looked up, only to see what she dreaded...

Sollek.

"Calm..." Ralphie barked to Kalite, but inside him, he was actually shaking. He had mixed emotions; part of him felt fear ; Kalite was a rather strong fighter, but another part of him felt bad, not because of Kalite's furious reaction to the dogs' stares. She was his friend, or at least to him . Normally at dogfights he would feel slightly excited to show how strong he was , and not a wimp. "But..." He thought, looking at Kalite. "What should I do?" He asked himself. To kill, or be killed. This was often said by the other dogs, although 'kill' meant 'seriously injure', or walk out of the ring with the dog, dead, lifeless, gone.

"Calm?" Kalite bawled. "How can you expect me to be calm? I got caught again by the filthy humans, and they're going to force us to fight! And I also dragged you into this." She said the last bit in a less angry, more morose voice. "I hate this park. One day, I'll get out of here." Kalite growled to herself, lunging again and again at the iron bars. After what seemed like countless attacks to the bar, Kalite let out a whimper when her head collided with them again. Kalite felt like she was covered in bruises. The dog slumped down onto her cage, exhausted.

"You're making yourself hurt." He whispered. "I won't literally fight you anyway; just kill me when we get into the ring. You know the humans wouldn't stop us fighting until one drops dead. My life is a waste anyway; doesn't matter if I'm still on this world. Or at the very least... I'll pretend I'm dead, but you still have to make me seriously injured till the humans stop the fight. It's okay." He said bravely, as if he were a young pup who thought of life as a toy. "As long as you aren't dead." His black eyes sparkled in the dim light, his whole body slumped in the cage which was too small for him to even stand up and turn around . Perhaps death was the best way to get out of this, the best way to stop himself from being hurt even more...

Zre felt her ears reperk from her skull... she looked towards the ground.  She thought of the responce the dog Ralphie had said.  kill me when we get into the ring...as long as you aren't dead.  She looked back up.  Emotions played a major role in the fights... tricky things they are.  Fear or Fury may make a dog fight with a stronger power.  But guilt, or sadness would make that dog surrender and perish before the fight began.  However...there was one emotion even Zre couldn't understand...love.  When fighting TO or FOR love; a dog's heart burned with the pas.sion of overcoming the foe.  But when fighting to protect the one a dog loves...no matter how powerful...that dog will take his/her own life.  The form of love matters not...whether it be friendship or family, or even a true love.  The reactions are still the same.  She pushed the thoughts from her mind, and for once...her heart cringed.  Cringed because she knew one of the friends would fall.  Cringed because she knew it would be an emotional fight...and she pityed the two.  "...I'm Sorry..." she whispered under her breath, her demon eyes closing... her body remained stiff, but her neck twisted; removing her face away from the metal cage.

Moug swallowed as he heard the words whispered by Ralphie.  "Disgusting." he growled under his breath...there was no need for weaklings here.  Survival was the goal for each canine here.  Ralphie gave up.  He wondered if the other dog...Kalite...would end the match quickly.  He turned away... stalkign to a corner and collapsing to his stomach.  He blinked once and lowered his head in between his paws.

As grunted, peering at the other dogs near her. They think they're so tough, prancing around and showing that they're boss, she thought, shaking her head. As wasn't afraid of any of the dogs, not even 'the Grim', who in As's opinion was just exactly the same as any other dog in the Park, a fighter and afraid of humans.
Answering the call of her belly, she got up, grabbed her box in her teeth, and started dragging it over the dewy gr@ss towards the nearest garbage can.
She let go of her box, glanced around warily, and put her nose into the garbage can. Empty beer cans, used napkins, and other @ssorted unwanted things, until.. bingo! As, with her tail wagging madly, retrieved a box containing five stale Tim Hortin's doughnuts.
As found nothing else of interest, so she sat in her box and munched happily on the doughnuts.

Whis screeched to a halt as a wonderful aroma went up his nostrils. He started following the scent, his tail quivering slightly.
He followed the scent until he finally found the source; a bone, just lying on the gr@ss, seemingly having no owner.
Whis grabbed it quickly, and glancing around carefully, sat down and started crunching on the bone. He hoped the scent of the bone had not attracted other dogs.

Sollek was continuing to walk, when a scent wafted up his nose. MEAT.
Something that he loved, and something he intended to get. Running now, he continued to follow the trail. Almost there, he sniffed. Full blast now, his legs were at top speed. He let out a snarl as Whis was standing over it.

(>:D)

Kallik woke up, hearing a little rumble, it was her stomach.
She wouldn't bother to follow that mouthwatering meat smell, because guess who's tracks marked to path. She went back to the dumpsters to find a stray cat eating something from a hamburger. Kallik took one step forward, and relized. It was a racoon. It snarled, ready to launch on her. Stupid Racoon.

Whis snarled back and tucked the bone safely behind him.
He examined Sollek, calculating the other dog's strengths and weaknesses. Whis could easily outrun this dog, he knew it as soon as he had looked at Sollek.
"It's mine, you stupid fleabag," he growled, narrowing his eyes menacingly, "go get your own!"
Whis dug his claws into the soft earth, ready to spring in defense of his glorius find. Even with no meat on it, bones were highly prized by dogs, as they were still tasty and edible.
