Vegas plowed into him, unable to stop, and the two tumbled end over end, Vegas hitting a wall, and Spin hitting Nanook, "sorry!" he said with a laugh. Frostbite was awake in the corner of the alley way keeping watch incase something happened perking her ears every now and then she watched the humans with a sad look on her face she wasn't always a stray, no she had a home but when the humans had pups the left her and it broke her heart body and soul she couldn't trust humans anymore but she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if she wasn't abandoned.

Night watched the females, tilting his head slightly. "You know, fighting within the pack leads to its destruction," he said calmly as he stood, ears twitching as he heard his own accent. God, he hated it. He strtched out before padded out of the alley to go find a better place to look up at the moon, settling down once he found it. He stared up at the moon, his eyes softening, a soft smile gracing his black-and-white muzzle once more before he tilted his head back to howl softly, hoping that ony he could hear it. He had an image to keep up, after all. |

Frostbite could hear a howl tilting her head she got up and walked over to where it was seeing Night she smiled and tilted her head before letting out a howl of her own softer then his so she hoped he wouldnt hear her and stop.

Night's howl cut off, the mae hearing another howl joining his own. He flattened his ears and looked around, wondering who it was that just saw him, He frowned, his facade back in place.

Fio stopped as she heard the howl, flicking her ears back towards Night and asking, "Night? Was that you?" She looked nervous, and shuffled her feet against the ground. She thumped her tail anxiously and looked around. She hoped it was not wolves, because she had met some wolves about a year ago, and it wasn't pretty. She touched a twisted scar under the fur on her flank and worried.

Night turned his head to look back at her without answering. He had found one place to be alone and now everyone's following him. He just didn't feel like dealing with it already this morning. Let her figure it out on her own. A dog's howl and a wolf's howl were totally different, after all. ((They really are. o:)) |

((I know. She doesn't, though. Fion is not the sharpest knife on the drawer....)) Fion flicked her ears, replaying the howl in her head. The pitch was not right for a wolf, and it was a bit wavering at the highest notes. Relaxing, she bounded towards Night and asked, "Why are you so down, all the time, Night? Lighten up, life isn't so bad here, is it?"

Night turned his head away, lifting it up to the moon. "Life is so bad here when you fear losing all those closest to you,"he murmured, mentally growling at his ligh accent. He just wanted it gone. "Loss is not something one can easily cope with, so the less attached I am, the beter if any of you die or get taken away," he muttered, standing up to pad off, ears flattened.

Night turned on her with a snarl, red-amber eyes flashing. "How would you know how much it hurts to lose your best friend?" he countered, lips curled back to show his teeth, tail raised as a flag and fur bristling. "I lost my best friend when I was little and it's never, NEVER, stopped hurting! Do you understand what I'm saying now?" he snarled before he turned to dart off into the night, his snarls echoing int the dark alley.

Fion roared after him, "So you just detach yourself from everyone? That's how I used to be, too!" She screamed, before dropping to the groundand buring her head in her paws, sniffingand sobbing softly. Of course she understood! She had to detach herself from her owners after the 15th kidnapping, and she had been worse off for it.

Night sat down once he found an old, broken-down car that had just enough space for him to crawl under it. He curled up into a little ball, burying his muzzle into his black-and-white fur, whining softly. Owners were totally different from a very close friend. Very different... He decided to just sleep there, and soon drifted off afterwards. He just wanted a little time to himself... |
