Ashlynn lay on the ground, motionless. Meanwhile, a bright blue glow surrounded her. Red backed up, holding his jar tightly. "Just wait till I get this stuff to work..." He saluted to Jabari and Volkenagrim, then jumped into a rowboat below.

The Blades hummed and rang even louder. Then they acted. The rushed at Red striking him three times. Nearly making him drop Ashlynn's blood. Volkenagrim rushed over to her side. He then sealed her wounds and then looked at Red. His eyes seemed a glow with blue fires. "Red... Don't go just yet.. Information must be told, or you won't escape alive...." He snarled at him. The Blade Fragments swirled around Red cutting him off from any escape. "Why torment her so... Or is this what you want? To have her fail at gaining the most powerful of Magics? The power of Wish Making through the Darkest of means?!" He roared out. He then stood up and drew out tree more Blade Fragments. These too acted and surrounded Red. But these were the less kinder blade fragments. These looked eager to kill and destroy. Volkenagrim smiled very cruelly at this. "Do you know what you've come up against, Red? Or do you want to know more?" He snarled out with a dark hiss.

Lydia frowned, stepping forward. Suddenly, the shadows appeared again, the usual twisted smirk present on their face. "Hello, Miss Lydia." One hissed, stepping forward. "It seems like your friends got you guys into a little predicament. Want some help?" The other said, suddenly surging into the mark on Lydia's neck. Her sepia eyes went from Brown to a deep lavender, and in the middle of her pupils the mark could be seen. Suddenly, Lydia disappeared, reappearing behind Red.

Red growled under his breath. "I don't need to tell you anything, and you don't need to tell me anything." He threw the blood up in the air, and did a flip to catch them. He smacked into the water, and dove to the bottom. He breathed perfectly. He ran through the water and caught a boat. He tossed the people overboard and began rowing.

Volkenagrim snarled with rage and nearly lost it. Nekoryu was about to show himself again but was halted by Volkenagrim's Will to avoid that part of him. He soon found himself collapsed once more onto the floor. But his Soul had left his body again. This time it did damage to Red. It struck Red with a powerful flame the blew up the boat and then began to attempt to burn him. These flames were indeed to hot for the water to handle. It began to evaporate making the area of the flames treat it like oil had been spilt on it. Making even the water catch flames. Volkenagrim's Soul was then returned to his body. But he still didn't stir.

Even though the boat burned, he stood up ontop of the water, unharmed. "Nice try." He kept walking the direction he was heading.

Jabari snarled and lept for the boat. Flames engulfed his fur but he paid no mind to it. Once he reached the boat Jabari turned human again and stood with a scowl on his face. Taking out a dagger, he threw it at Red. It landed solidly, but fell. No blood came from the wound.

Red turned around and picked up the dagger and turned it in his fingers. "Really? Thats the best you can do?" He snapped it in half two seconds flat. The jar of blood had disappeared, and Red had become a flaming ball of fire. He flew up into the sky, making a loud whistling sound like a boiling pot of tea.

Volkenagrim was still out cold. He was much too weak for battle. And too weak to even wake up. But his mind was aware. It was aware of the fighting still going on. It was aware of everyone needing help, yet here he was unable to do anything. This angered him to no end. That's when Nekoryu began to take over. Nekoryu snarled out loud as he stood up and enveloped Volkenagrim's body. And then made the body disappear letting only him exist now. Nekoryu roared and a bolt of lightening hit Red as he was in the sky. The Dragon Beast's bolt was no ordinary bolt. It was a force of magic that drains another enemy's magic, turning them vulnerable against his powers. Meaning next time they meet, Red would be highly weak from this point forward to Nekoryu's powers but only Nekoryu's... Nekoryu roared again and attempted to hit Red again with it. But it missed and nearly hit the boat he, Lydia, Ashlynn, and Aryen was on. This made Nekoryu even madder. But no more bolts shot from the skies. Nekoryu went over to Ashlynn and breathed a powerful mist into her, beginning to heal her. He then nudged her with his maw, trying to get her to stir.

For a short time, Ashlynn hadn't been breathing. She felt Nekoryu nudging her, but her eyes didn't open. "I'm not doing that. Never." Her eyes flicked open, and she sat up as if shocked by lightning. "Sorry... Excuse me for a minute, dejinvs." She leaped over board and dove into the water. Her blue eyes glowed like lanterns, helping her see at the bottom. Being a faerie, she would typically hold her breath for a hundred years. That would also mean if she died in the water she would stay down there for a hundred years before waking up again. She picked up a piece of a vase and turned it over.

Nekoryu snarled and lept into the water with her. He swam and caught up to her. He seemed to hover in that spot in over her. He then saw her turn over the vase. "You'll not have to.." He hissed to her with his mind. Nekoryu then swam closer to her. He looked very curious at what she was doing.

Ashlynn stood on the bottom of the ocean, holding the vase. She took a vial out of her bag and dripped a blue liquid inside, causing the vase to shake. Ashlynn's eyes turned white and glowed, her head tilted slightly upward. Her mouth moved as if she were whispering words, but no sound came out. She wasn't breathing as to not either swallow water or disturb the vase. Meanwhile, the vase was shivering violently.

Nekoryu was watching everything she was doing. His curiosity was still getting the better of him. "What are you doing?" He asked her in his mind. "Will it make Red cease?" Nekoryu then noticed he was running out of air. He slowly backed up and then rushed quickly up to the surface. Despite all the movement the vase wasn't disturbed by his bubbles or the rushing of the water. He burst out of the water wit ha giant leap and splatted back into the water, going back into the depths to watch over Ashlynn.

Jabari leaped off the boat and swam back to Ayren. He shook out his hair and found Ayren twitching madly. Her eyes were black, but rimmed with red. He looked at Lydia. Same thing. "Oh no..."

Ashlynn's eyes glowed brighter, and the vase turned red and exploded. Ashlynn was thrown backward, her eyes returning to normal. She gasped and swallowed a mouthful of saltwater. No, but it guarantees a safe passage to death for him... And also me at some point in time. I can't stay alive forever, you know. Ashlynn stood up and made her way to the surface.

Nekoryu sighed aloud at this. He was slightly relieved. Yet angry at this. "Ashlynn... You need to live long enough to Tame me... or else all will be destroyed..." He told her. Nekoryu returned to the surface with her. The Warrior Beast Man followed her and then climbed onto the boat. He then saw Lydia and Aryen. His spines flared up and even his eyes seemed ablaze with flames. "So Red is behind this?" He asked Ashlynn. He then looked at her and snarled. He then turned his gaze to an unnatural blaze on the ship next to him, that had suddenly appeared. "Ashlynn now is the time to place your mark on me. Take your Dagger and force it into the flames, then press your Dagger into my chest. It won't kill me... But it will begin the taming process..." He snarled to her. Nekoryu then waited for her to mark him.

(soooooooo sorry I didn't post! really bad internet connection! I'm so sorry I bumped us to page 2... Sorry again!) Ashlynn shook her head. "No, he isn't. He'd been possessed by many things, and he does a few odd things. But the real thing we should be afraid of is his daughter, Arachne, where the Ez Eye has taken residence." She did as she was told and marked Nekoryu. "There..." She stepped away. "We need to stay away from the forest, or we would be in trouble. Don't ask why..." She looked back at everyone, then turned back to the forest. |

Nekoryu winced at the Dagger was placed in his chest and turned like a key. He let out a sigh and watched the forest. He felt the reason but as a Beast, Forests were his domain. "Ashlynn... The forest is my Domain. I detest Intruders... But your words are my commands..." He snarled to her. He then saw Aryen still twitching along with Lydia. He growled low. He was getting restless. His urge was to run free but was trapped now on a boat. The flames on his spines began to flare up again. But this time actually emitting high amounts of heat. The Vessel of the Wilds snarled then covered the spines with his mane-like hair and fur. This soon caused the flames to become dim yet they still flared. Nekoryu was now tired all of a sudden, so he stretched and then walked over to Ashlynn and wrapped himself around her. "I sense we are safe for now to rest. Better do that now..." He told her. "You'll stay warm around me...." He added. Then he laid down and closed his eyes. He wasn't yet asleep. His Instinct to run wild was still causing trouble.
