Diclino stood up and shook his head. "I was never born fully human. I was born a Donampyer which is still a bit of a mystery. But I don't think the human in me would want to give up the Vampire. But the Vampire wouldn't want to sacrifice the Human either due to what they represent together.... But thank you..." He told them. He then looked at Patience and smiled with a shut mouth. "I'm just used to people being rather freaked of my fangs... And you must know how most Vampires are rather barbaric...?" He added. Then he sat down next to Volkenagrim and covered him in his cloak he wore other than the shroud he always wore. It seemed alive and gently wrapped itself around Volkenagrim as a living blanket. Diclino then looked down at Volkenagrim, "Demihumans are truly Mythical Creatures, so many resemblances to being human, yet powerful as Demons, but wild as animals..." He then looked back at Arachne. "That's what Volkenagrim is. A Demihuman. Somehow Energies of the Earth itself flowed freely inside of human offspring and fueled the change the moment they were born. What energies caused it is still a mystery. But all is mostly known is the humans that gave birth to them died. The energies were too much for them. But Volkenagrim's mother wasn't human. She was an Enchantress of a Siren. Now his Father was Demihuman. Not much else is known of that past he can remember." He then looked at them again. "Now about that remark. I didn't like it to well... I'm just not eager to show too much pride. But I'm highly intelligent. Now don't say I was smarter as human for how could I be human when I was born part Vampire?" He explained.

Arachne nodded, staring off and hardly listening. She was thinking about something far from the subject. Rabble crawled off somewhere, and Patience nervously stared up at Arachne. "Excuse her, she does that sometimes..." He turned a circle then looked at Diclino.

Lydia sighed, running a hand through her hair. "They weren't going to hurt me, you know." She said, looking tired. "They can't hurt me, anyways. And as long as I still have the mark, they're going to keep coming back. If you want to skin it off, be my quest, but I might just bleed to death if you do." Lydia added, readjusting the laces on her boots. Standing up straight, Lydia walked off, wandering the forest. The shadows hadn't shown any sign of coming back yet, which Lydia enjoyed.
At first, Lydia was terrified of them. They appeared without notice and always made awful crowing noises when they laughed. But as their visits became more and more frequent, Lydia grew accustomed to them, and then irritated by them. Playing with a lock of her caramel brown hair, she leaned against the trunk of the tree, taking out her long bow.

Rabble skittered through a tree's branches, spinning a small web. He hadn't eaten anything but a fly since that morning, and he was a pretty plus-sized spider. He lowered himself down on a thread, and he found himself tangled in Lydia's hair. He made muffled chittering sounds, biting at the hair. "Excuse me miss, I am stuck in your tiny ropes..." After writhing around a bit, the little red spider accidently bit into Lydia's head, depositing poison. He released immediately, then tumbled off when a hand came up to grab him. He tucked in his legs and stood up. "That wasn't very kind..." He shook off dust and brought himself halfway back to his branch.

Diclino nodded. "I understand about that." He told Patience. He then snickered playfully at Volkenagrim's slight silent snore. He then shook his head. He then stood up and looked at where Lydia had gone. The Donampyer was evidently patient and quite agreeable in nature. But had indeed heard what Lydia had said. " I know Lady Duchess but if you ate a certain herb before said mark was skinned of you'd not bleed the first drop!" He told her through telepathy. Diclino then stood up and walked over to Arachne. "Lady of Spiders? Are you quite alright?" He asked her. He had a cold hand placed on her shoulder. He then placed a hand on her forehead. "You've no fevers... Hmm... Then what causes you to black out? Like you're doing now..." He added. He was truly concerned. But didn't know how to express it very well. Volkenagrim slowly turned over to his side in his slumber. He was truly still deep in sleep. Yet was aware of everything going on. This proved only his body slept, not his mind, nor his Soul.

Arachne flinched and shivered when Diclino touched her. Patience tilted his head a bit. "She is fine for a while, just a bit of deep thinking. Just as deep as Volkenagrim sleeps..." He nudged his head towards Volkenagrim. "No one really knows why she does this though. No one ever found out. And probably never will." He shook his head. Arachne shivered again and then snapped to attention. She stared down at Patience, who gave her a questioning look. "What?" Patience shook his head. "Nothing, but you usually don't wake up that fast..." Arachne tilted her head a bit then looked at the ground.

Diclino backed off from Arachne. He then nodded to himself. "Hmm... I believe I know what's wrong. It's a very rare condition, the only cure is Spider Venom of a rare sort, and a very giant spider. It is called a Mongolian Giant Spider... They are highly aggressive and also as the name suggests.. rather large. About twice my size and here I stand at 6'9" so Large is a bit of an understatement, But due to their dangerous nature's were banished from Spider's Ruins and forced into the Shad-Root Forest. Poor things, highly misunderstood. I mean they need to lay if something needs to lay they're eggs inside living hosts, let them. Especially when half the host's survive." He told them. He then pointed towards the direction of Shad-Root Forest. "About ten miles to the northwest, is where the Dark Woods lie. And I hope you'd fit in there for if not, the Trees will kill you..." He warned. "But I do fit in there due to my Inner Darkness is a creature native there, Hyfearion Shadow. Now I'll not bore you about Hyfearion Shadows. You'll see for yourself when Volkenagrim wakes up. For you need to go there, as soon as possible. You might die if not bitten..." Diclino explained to her. He then sat down next to Arachne and watched over the surroundings. "You best go on to sleep as Volkenagrim does now. I'll keep watch." He added.

Arachne thought about the spiders. "All spiders are misunderstood as pests, things that kill... They can actually be quite kind when they choose to be..." She muttered to herself a little bit, but obeyed and slept. (Sorry all my posts are so short, writer's block.)

Diclino nodded and kept watch all night. When the sun rose into the skies, he was still keeping watch, but Volkenagrim was missing. His footprints were seen heading into the direction of Shad-Root forest. Diclino stood up and walked over to Patience. "Hey, can you wake up Arachne? It's time. She may not last much longer without the venom of that spider and the herbs found there." He told Patience. Then he jumped up into a tree above them and looked around. At this vantage point, Diclino saw Volkenagrim resting in a clearing, in front of a cave. He wasn't at all the same in appearance as he was last night. This change shocked Diclino. So much in fact, he wasn't paying attention on the way down, when the branch broke and made him fall out of the tree. The branch then fell of of the tree and impaled Diclino dangerously close to his heart. He hissed loudly in pain at this. "Gashh!" His claws dug into the ground as he knew he shouldn't move. "Volkenagrim... What's happened to you...?" He asked himself. Then he looked over a Patience. "Hurry! Wake Arachne up so she can help move this branch out of my chest... If I move it'll pierce my heart and kill me. Though I might deserve it for what I've done..." He muttered out of sorrow.

Patience nodded, but Arachne heard the commotion and immediately woke up. She jogged over to Diclino and looked at the stick. "Stay still..." She quickly pulled it out without giving pain. She tossed it to the side. "Be more careful." She looked over at Volkenagrim. "What happened? He looks... Different."

Diclino snarled out in deep pain but sat up. He pressed his hand to the wound and was breathing sharply. "I think all this time, his very appearance was a mere illusion of his past... Now he's finally trusted us with his True Form." He told Arachne. He then coughed up alot of blood. "Don't worry, I'll recover soon. Or I hope...." He told her. Volkenagrim's body was covered in black scales with an hue in it that resembled a dark rainbow. His head was adorned with horns, like a crown. Two horns faced forward, two were around his cheeks in a curved motion, and another set of horns were right behind his cheeks. His eyes were blood red and had no pupils but deep black and silver marked slits. His hair was the length of Nekoryu's but spiked. His wings on his back were that of a dragons over a pair of Black Raven wings. His tail resembled Maleck's skeletal tail and so to did his right arm. His shirt was torn and his body was like a man's yet the feet were like a dragon's. His face also looked like a dragon man's. He was truly an evil, demonic looking creature, and his eyes shown no emotions. Not even Sorrow, yet the air around him was icy cold, proof of his deep pain over what he had been cursed with all along. "I'm so sorry I hid my True Form from you, Arachne... But can you honestly trust me...?" He snarled to Arachne. He then stood up and gazed into Arachne's eyes. He looked like he wanted to reach out to her and move her hair out of her eyes, yet held himself back. He closed his eyes and let everything sink in.

Arachne stood and stared at Volkenagrim for a while, the nodded. "I don't guarantee it, but I may be able to trust you. It depends on the spiders..." The red spider mark on her forehead glowed like a lantern, then faded. "But I don't know what the spiders actually want, only what they need." She cast her eyes back down to the ground.

Volkenagrim nodded. Then he looked at Diclino. Diclino nodded back at him and winced. The Warrior aka Agent of Darkgrim walked over to Diclino and pressed his hand on his wound. "Diclino... Your regenerative abilities will heal you much to slowly.... This time so hang in there...." He snarled. Diclino tensed up and nodded again. He then shut his eyes and was given a piece of wood from Volkenagrim's bag to bite down on. Volkenagrim then laid his friend down and sighed. An orb of fire appeared in his left hand. Then The Warrior placed the orb of flame in the wound, searing Diclino's skin shut. Diclino hissed in pain and even jerked a bit, but a few seconds later, the flame's marks turned white and vanished. Leaving no wound and no evidence at all of being wounded there in the first place. With a sigh, Diclino stood up and took out the piece of wood and handed it back to his friend to put it away. "Thanks." Was all that was said between them. After that healing of Diclino, Volkenagrim then looked at Arachne. "Are you ready? To see the Mongolian Giant Spider?" He asked her. "They are afraid of me, but at least they won't attack you, with me there; with you. They've all nearly been turned Evil by those woods. So we've got to be careful...." He added. Then he checked on Diclino and seemed relieved that his friend was better. "Yes... I'm ready as well if Arachne is." Diclino whispered. Though he whispered it was loud enough to hear pretty well. It was due to the fact the very voice of Diclino was a gentle wisp and a murmur. As such light. So all words came out as an audible whisper and a clear murmur.

Arachne nodded and followed them to the woods. "You say the spiders fear you... Spiders only fear those who hurt them, or injure them, physically and mentally... You must have done something..." She stopped for a moment, then continued on. She thought she had seen a white light glowing off in the distance, but shook her head. Silly thought. She then looked up again, seeing the light bigger. "It's gotten to my head," she whispered quietly, like an angel, but still rough like the heartless spider she was. As soon as she said this, she wheeled around and silently shot the light with an arrow, which stopped its advance. But that wasn't going to last forever, she thought. Though she didn't beleive it, she felt as if her insides were twisting and twisting like a crank. She crossed her arms over her chest, slowly following Diclino and Volkenagrim.

Volkenagrim stopped. He looked down on the ground and turned around to face her. "Yes... In my past life as Volcanotano... The Born Destroyer... As the name suggests I was a cold blooded Monster. As you saw earlier, it's still there..." He explained. "But some spiders, the newer ones, understand better than the ancient breeds... Such as what you need... The Mongolian Giant Spider..." His voice sounded rough, jagged, and full of danger. Emotionless. Diclino nodded and stopped as well with Volkenagrim. His eyes took a sudden shine of sorrow. "I wished you were more honest with yourself... You shouldn't stay marked for the sins of your past. That was over 1,000 years ago..." He sighed to Volkenagrim. Volkenagrim quickly grabbed Diclino by his throat. "Listen! Diclino! Understand this.... On my Shoulder on the right side, I'm forever marked in Runeai that reads "Born Destroyer"! Just so nobody who sees me can ever forgive me... And hate me for all eternity especially when they know..." He snarled at him. Then he let go and let his arm slump to his side. He then looked back to the woods and then looked at Arachne. "Arachne, I saw what you saw, they must be trying to call you back.... Let me know something now. Would you become my Soul Tamer after the Venom of Mongrol the oldest Mongolian Giant Spider is run into your veins, or would you rather return to where you come from...?" He asked her. "Decide one there is no going back. And one choice might cost you half of your very Soul and corrupt the other half..." He added.

Arachne looked up at the two of them with an ounce of guilt. "I would choose if I could... If I went back, unimaginably horrible things would happen to spiders everywhere... If I were your soul tamer, then..." She stopped for a moment, thinking. "Even worse things would happen..." She stood for a moment, then shook her head. "Excuse me a moment..." She melted into a wave of spiders that went off to the north, toward a dark place much like Spider's Ruins, but instead of overgrowth and beautiful broken temples, it looked almost as if death had come alive. Rabble, somewhere eating a dragonfly, quickly sketched down a message on a cloth. He skittered to Diclino and Volkenagrim, perfectly in between. He dropped the parchment and bowed. Such a depressing creature, yet you know how it feels when you cannot choose... Think to yourself, discuss it among you two, and leave it to your heads... No one deserves this kind of fate, do they? ~Rabble

Volkenagrim sighed at this. He then looked up at Diclino. Diclino was shaking his head. "You didn't tell her... About as time passes on the Soul will be purified... And Balance will be restored through her Soul Half that enters you!" He hissed. He then smacked the back of Volkenagrim's head and then pushed him towards Arachne's direction. "Rabble! Please guide Volken to her. He's a bad habit of telling Truths that aren't the whole story!" He yelled for the Spider. Volkenagrim looked down at the ground and seemed reluctant. "It's due to the fact she hadn't asked for the whole Truth. It's part of my curse. I can only tell everything if asked!" He growled at Diclino. But then he nodded to Rabble. "Please Rabble take me to her!" He asked him. "Tell her to ask for all the Truths of the Soul Taming. And that's the damage of the in the short run. In the long run, the damage is reversed... And slowly through her Soul Energy in me at the times progression, my Curse will be lifted; freeing me... and so reinforcing the power of Balance in the Darkgrim Voids." He told Rabble. He then waited for the spider's reactions.

Rabble, with difficulty, put a frown on his face. "Nope, can't do that." He backed up, when Volkenagrim stumbled over him. " 'Gainst the rules. You gotta find the spider cave on your own. But only a spider can find it." He winked, with four of his left eyes. He then walked forward, right through Diclino's shoe and kept going on. "Any comments are to my back."

Diclino shook his head. But then looked at Volkenagrim. He then noticed the mark of a Spider on his chest and Patience on his Shoulder. "Perhaps you should ask the Mark from Patience, and try to Shapeshift through the power of that Mark into a Spider. You'll be surprised at what you find out. Now go!" He told him. Diclino then winked back at Rabble. He then gently sat down and held out his hand for Rabble to get on. "I hope you wouldn't mind a slight chat Rabble. I've got a few things to say to you, my friend. I mean before you go!" He told the Spider. Volkenagrim put a face to his palm and looked frustrated. "Patience, can you give the slightest hint...? At how to activate this mark fully?" He asked him while reaching out for him in a very gentle manner. He then placed Patience on my palm. "The power of it is stunted due to the fact Arachne isn't my Soul Tamer and so the mark isn't fully placed...." He explained. "She needs to know she may have trouble badly at first, but the troubles turn into blessings... Blessings that can restore Balance to me, and perhaps to her...." He added. He then walked away from Diclino.

Rabble nodded at Diclino and waited for his questions. Patience stared into Volkenagrim's eyes, a slight hint of amusement. "Oh my, you are certainly dull. You remember when you passed out in Spider's Ruins, yes? As a pose to leaving you there to rot, Arachne helped you. She has already marked you with that spider. In a way, she is still your Soul Tamer. If you think hard enough, you will solve the puzzle. She sends me to you because I am also the mark. To activate it, just simply retreat to the darkest recesses of your mind and find the spiders. You will immediately see the world the way Arachne sees it, and the way I do too." He bowed, then waited for Volkenagrim to activate the mark.
