Alcarié nudged her cheek in comfort, trying to think of a way to let her hear what she wanted while also speaking the truth. Finally he sighed and scuffled his paws in the ground, eyes roving over the dark shadows of the den as if something was going to jump out at them. He finally locked his eyes on a small leaf with tiny black seeds sitting on it. Getting to his large paws, the shaman grabbed the leaf and drug it gently over, making sure none of the seeds fell to the stone ground. Moving three of them over between his paws he licked them up swiftly, thanking the Pack of Raging River's for showing him these wonderful plants. He pushed three more towards her. "Their poppy seeds, they tend to calm the nerves and helps a wolf go into a deep sleep. If they help me, then they should help you." He told her, laying down on the cold den floor. Laying his head onto his paws, he re thought over her words, and finally answered. "Yes, it is hard living in a pack and being judged for things you cant, or sometimes don't want to, control." He mused. "But there are things harder out there, I promise. Losing all of those you love, sitting there with blood on your paws and wailing on horror at what had just happened, or what you'd done." He told her, looking far off into the distance. "I'v seen things that would make even the most experienced fighter crawl back to his mother with his tail between his tail." He laughed cruelly. "But," He added in a lighter tone. "you have your pack at your back to lean on, no matter how un wanted they make you feel." He closed his eyes, able to feel the effects of the poppy seeds seeping through his veins. "Do I feel useless, unwanted? All the time." He admitted. "No wolf really cares about me, not since Viveral. Oh sure they come here to talk, because they either want inside information or guidance. No wolf simply comes here to talk, to see how i'm doing." He huffed softly. "Even you came here to ask if I knew anything about these voices, to see if I knew anything." He grinned slightly. "But it's not a bad conversation, and i'm glad you stopped by none the less." He hummed slightly under his breath, yawning. "Are you ever lonely Cere? Just feel as if the world looks at you as odd?" He asked, then decided to answer. "I guess you do, considering what you just told me. At least wolves will willing talk to you normally, at least I think they do." He muttered, looking at her curiously. Finally he chuckled. "I probably need to shut up now, it's just nice to have someone to talk to, thats all."

Cere licked up the offered seeds and settled into a comfotable postition on the ground. She yawned loudly "Just know you can talk to me..." She said with a drowsy smile before placing her head in her paws and drifting off into a deep sleep... Running... Running away from the wolf behind her... Her paws slapping loudly on the wet stone... The thing laughed, a sound like claws being run down slate... "You can never escape me, Cere... My blood is your blood... We're family..." The other wolf cackled, closing in "I wont help you!" She snarled, lashing out at the black wolf.. As soon a the stike hit, the wolf evapourated into a cold black mist... Still laughing... Laughing... Laughing... Cere woke with a start her head jolting up from the floor, She had rolled over in her fretful sleep and was now against the cold damp wall of the cave "Alcarie..." She called softly crawling to his soundly sleeping form "Alcarie..." She whimpered, nosing his warm cheek... "Alcarie... Wake up..."

Dusk wandered into the den where Cere and Alcarie were. "Alcarie, Cere, are you alright?" she asked, sitting down and curling her tail around her. For a moment, she was staring back at the image of her family and the flood, but she pushed the thought away. I am a good alpha. She thought to herself with a small sigh. She gazed sightlessly at Cere, awaiting an answer, though she had a pretty good idea of what Cere would say...

Cere blinked at the alpha female "Yes alpha, we're fine..." She replied dipping her head respectfully "How are you this evening?" She inquired, with a nervous grin, She didnt want to be upsetting the alpha... Please dont hate me... Plese dont hate me... She chanted silently, glancing worridly at Dusk, She did not want to get on the wrong side of another alpha... Cere shuddered at the memory...

"Oh, ok." the young alpha smiled encourigingly. "What's really the matter. If you tell me, I*ll tell you mine." Dusk said and she wasn't lying. She needed to tell someone about these images that kept popping up in her mind. She lay down, stretching her paws ou in front of her. she placed her head gingerly on her paws and closed her eyes. She listened better when she had them closed, even thoguh she was blind...

"Wait come back!" Dusk scrambled to her feet and raced after the sound of Cere's paw steps. "I need to talk even if you don't want to talk!" she called, scraping the ground with her feet. she kicked up clumps of dirt as she shot after the she-wolf with a sense that something bad was going to happen. She stopped and attempted to grab Cere...

Cere mistook this as an act of violence, yelping she sprinted into the underbrush, her paws thudding against the dry ground "Please... Leave me alone..." She called back, her tail between her legs as she ran... Cere came to a small river and lept across it landing with a soft thump, She continued to run...

"I*m not going to hurt you." she panted, slowing to a trot to show she meant no harm. She felt Cere leap across the river and stopped at the water's edge. She breathed and leaped and landed in the river. The current threatened to pull her under. "HELP!!" she gurgled as her head went under the water. This wasn't what was supposed to happen, she shouldn't look like a weak pup...

Cere's head whipped round "Dont worry Im coming!" She yelled, leaping into the river. She struggled against the current for a moment but quickly gaining her footing "Swim agaist the current!" She called swimming toward the sinking wolf. Cere grabbed Dusks scruf betwee her teeth and hauled her to the bank, pulling her onto dry land "Are you oaky?" She asked, wide eyed.

Fell lifted his head and opened his eyes to see Dusk chasing after Cere into the woods. He had been dozing for quite a while, but he quickly got to his paws. He padded slowly towards the edge, poking his head into the expanse of trees. He listened for them but only heard the gurgling of the river not too far ahead. But to his surprise, he thought he could hear Cere yelling. With a last glance back at the camp, Fell bounded into the woods. He growled as he ran, was this the beginning of something bad? Dusk had ran into the woods unexpectedly earlier and this time she was with Cere. He wondered if they saw him as nosy. After all, he had been itching to know what was causing such uneasiness in the pack. He slowed down to a trot and slowed his pace until he was walking rather slowly. He had neared the river and Dusk and Cere were on the opposite s*censored*, soaking wet. “What’s going on?” he asked quietly, padding slowly out of the trees. His head was low to the ground as he walked towards the river. There was a quizzical look on his face and he did nothing to hide how confused he was.

Dusk breathed heavily and gasped. "Thanks Cere." Dusk said, a bit embarresed. She hoped Cere thought no worse of her for not being able to care for herself in the water, but after the flood. She shook the thought out of her mind. "Can I alk to you?" Dusk asked Cere with a slight smile, after all Cere was her rescuer...
