This roleplay is set around 10 years after Harry Potter and his friends left Hogwarts, so there won't be any canonical characters, and hopefully no arguments about including events from the books/films. As stated in the ti
tle, this is an open roleplay, which means that anyone can join! It is also kind of semi-literate, and by kind of, I mean that I'd prefer if you posted replies of a reasonable length (a paragraph or two) to keep things interesting, and with correct spelling and grammar, but you don't necessarily have to (Everyone gets writer's block every once in a while, right?). There will only be one Quidditch team, because of the lack of characters, that will compete against other schools. Just to prove that you have actually read the intro and rules, please post 'swiggity swules I read the rules' when you join, thank you. I originally thought of making this roleplay set in a different wizarding school, but I decided against it because it could cause some confusion with subjects. names of the Professors, houses, layout of the school, etc. 

And, of course, with every roleplay, there has to be rules:

  • - Res rules apply, obviously.
  1. - OCs only.
  2. - No godmodding or powerplaying.
  3. - Spelling and grammar should be checked before you post but the occasional slip-up is fine.
  4. - There is no limit to the amount of character you can have.
  5. - No Mary Sues or Gary Stus (perfect characters with no depth)
  6. - Humanoid characters only (unless you rmail me about it)

  • Personality: Madi is generally cheerful and kind, but she loves a good joke, so sometimes her tricks end badly for all involved. Her outgoing personality can also be annoying to some, so she's learned to ignore those who dislike her. She loves to laugh, and to climb trees. She's pretty quick, but sometimes becomes clumsy when she's in an awkward situation. She is also very stubborn and outspoken.
  • Appearance: She has thick, unbrushed, ginger hair that falls below her waist. She doesn't tie it back so it often covers her face when it gets free from behind her ears. She has darkish green eyes, and a long, reasonably big nose that ends in a point. Her cheekbones are prominent, and her face is quite long, with a rounded chin. She's a bit pudgy, especially around her middle, but she's of average height.

She knows how to get what she wants, and will use her mermish charm without hesitation.
  • Appearance: Caitlyn has dirty blonde, silky smooth hair that goes a about half a foot below her shoulders. She is of average height, slim, and voluptuous (for her age). She is very graceful and almost as beautiful as her mother, Ambrosia. Her eyes are red but she covers them with brown coloured contacts. Her nose is pretty and petite, and her chin is pointed. Her eyelashes are naturally long and dark, and her eyebrows are perfectly shaped. She usually wears her hair in a braid down her back.

  • Personality: Lilith is mean, Blunt, and not afraid to speak her mind. She doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. She does what she wants when she wants. She is stubborn. If you get to know her well enough, she might show you her sensitive side (she does have a heart there somewhere, underneath all her rage)
  • Appearance: Quite short dark green hair, cold blue eyes and prominent cheekbones. she's frowning most of the time. Tall, thin,and always wears her knee-high lace-up boots.

  • Personality: Sebastian has what could be called a laid back personality. Anything that doesn't concern his life, or something he considers important, is irrelevant. He's not shy, but, to put it mildly, he's a sparsely spoken boy. He doesn't really care about anyone giving him crap, and will always stand up for himself, and, despite being the least likely candidate, he always seems to have a plan for mischief up his sleeve. He can make friends with you, sit next to you, even exchange pleasantries with you in the hallway, and yet if you think hard about it, you don't know anything about him except that he's Irish, and that's involuntary information given away by his light accent. He seems to keep all of his personal information tucked away and trusts no one, and he also is quiet cynnical on his view of people. If one was to get close to his heart, they would actually discover a quiet vuanarable boy.
  • Appearance: Murky hazel eyes have little flecks of gold randomly dotted in them. Sebastian's wavy black  fringe is only just long enough to messily thrown diagonally across his right eye, but the back is close cropped to his head. He has a lean, athletic build which accents his abnormally tall height, for his age, of 6'9. His appearance is always sloppy, and it's pretty normal to see un-tucked shirts, rolled up sleeves and rumpled trousers

  • Personality:  If Rowan and Basil were in anymore trouble, the world would stop spinning. Prime joke-stars, brothers in crime, the twins are inseparable and seem to know exactly what each other are thinking. Rowan is the one better a magic and the more stubborn and prideful of the two, but his overprotective nature is mirrored in his twin. The two often swap identities and it's had to tell whether they're fond of others or not. Rowan can draw beautifully and has a talent for music as well. If one is lucky enough, they might hear him when he's alne or acquire a painting of his.
  • Appearance: Dark mahogany coloured curly hair is offset by pale blue eyes which always match the sky in colour. A tall, lean build and mischievous grin add to the picture, but their acting is excellent. Light tanned skin spouting a tiny scar on the inside of Rowan's wrist is the only thing which allows anyone to tell them apart, but he hides it easily and will only tell the difference to a true friend, or someone he feels has earns his trust

They always have each others back, no matter what.
  • Appearance: Dark brown curly hair is offset by pale blue eyes which always match the sky in colour. A tall, lean build and mischievous grin add to the picture, but their acting is excellent. Basil has slightly greener eyes than his twin, but it's hardly noticeable.   • Personality: Meg is shy and sweet, emphasis on the shy. She has a smart, fun personality, but you can only see it if you get to know her. Even around her closest friends, she is utterly terrified because of a friendship mishap when she was small. Her face is always staring at the ground, adding to the appearance of her painfully shy-ness. She's one of the smartest children in the grade and arguably the smartest, which just makes people pick on her even more and call her a geek. 

  • She tries at all times to please everyone, and goes to far sometimes. She'll actually not speak up if she is uncomfortable or in pain just to go out of the way as to not bother someone. She also cries a lot because not only is she sensitive, but she has the overwhelming idea that if she isn't completely perfect she'll never have any friends, and she gets mad at herself when she makes mistakes.

  • Family: She has lived in an orphanage at age three. No one has adopted her, so she considers her teachers and house-mates her family.
  • History: Orphaned at the age of three, Meg always had a hard life. The headmaster at her orphanage was cruel and hateful, and did loads of awful things to the children, especially the girls. Most of the workers there liked Meg though, and would often slip her an extra nap time, a larger helping of rice, or maybe even butter on her bread. All these things helped her not to go mentally insane like almost all of the rest of the children did.

However, the time at the orphanage was actually the highlight of her life. At school, she used to be insanely popular because of how kind she was (and guess what? She wasn't shy back then :o). Then, one year after second grade, disaster struck. A new girl came to school, and nobody liked her. Figuring that everyone needed a friend, Meg started hanging out with her. All of her other friends left Meg in the dust, started calling her nasty names, and acted like all-around jerks. Meg was okay with it, until in fourth grade her new best friend left her for the popular crowd, leaving her with nothing but her studies and a broken heart.

  • Personality: Joshua is a jerk. He can barely stand being around anyone, except for his cat Nala. He finds people both annoying and intriguing, and will often study a person. If you have a feeling that someone is watching you, or, well, more like judging you, and he is in the room, it's probably him. He says that it's all in the name of "science", but it's not really.

Now, when he's with his cat, it's a different story. He's a total mushy goofball, coddling her and stroking her and playing with her. He MUCH prefers her to the company of a human, and claims that she has more personality than any human on the planet except for himself. If anyone laughs at this, he threatens to give them a face full of fist. He'd never really do it, but he's muscular enough to make almost 97% of the people shut up instantly.

  • Personality: Kyle is a nerd, plain and simple. He absolutely loves computers, books, everything about school. If you looked up nerd or geek in the dictionary, you might come up with a picture of him. He hides it well though, with his funny, charismatic, and charming personality. Most, if they saw him, would consider him a huge flirt and a ladies' man, but the funny thing is he barely recognizes that girls exist. He's in that awkward boy stage where they are starting to like girls but they still think that they have cooties, so instead of taxing his brain, he chooses to ignore girls altogether. He also looks much older than his age, which certainly doesn't help the whole girls situation.

He has a photographic memory, but it taxes him as much as it helps. He has constant headaches because he hasn't learned how to control what he remembers, and sometimes random words spew out of his mouth when he means to say something else. He also often speaks whatever he thinks, because if he says it, it might leave his brain. Maybe.

Wulfey and Spirit, you both forgot something in your posts. Also, Spirit, a few things I noticed about your bios: Ivan has Ancient Runes twice. In Chester's bio, it says he has black hair like Ivan's, but in Ivan's bio, you say he has blonde hair. And what position does Ivan play in Quidditch?))

((A prefect is a student that has been recognised as responsible and generally a high achiever. They have been given extra authority and responsibility to keep the other students in line by taking away house points and giving detentions. Does that kind of explain it? :P))

Personality- she is a sweet girl, but would always stand up for a friend. She is rather shy, but might talk more to someone she feels comfortable around. If you get to know her very well then you would realize she gets a little defensive with her pet, and isn't someone you want to mess with.

She is a good friend, but has a little problem with bullies. She would usely walk away but she will stand up for a friend. She has personal experience with mean people, and hates it. She was never popular but hopes to have a couple of friends.

Appearance- she has long black hair and shiny black eyes, she wears a silver locket, that she never ever takes of. She wears black robes like everyone at
