Personality: Stubborn and arrogant, Melanie certainly isn't one to hold her tongue. She always enjoys a good argument- probably because she loves to be right. As a child, she never tolerated her classmates' teasing, and she would often get sent home for kicking a child in the shin who called her weird, or for pulling a girl's pigtails because she wouldn't let Melanie go on the swings. This attitude sticks with her today, for she can be extremely strong-willed and unafraid. Clever and snarky, she also enjoys a good practical joke and often gets in trouble for transfiguring a professor's spaghetti into worms, or changing a Slytherin's wardrobe to red and gold.
Appearance: Melanie, like her arrogant attitude, stands at a proud five-foot-six and weighs approximately 125 pounds. Most of her height lies in her legs, which, as her mother always said, "go on for miles." She has the type of body that you may see strut down the halls of a muggle high school, slightly swaying their hips with each stride (which is exactly what Melanie does at Hogwarts). Her black hair falls slightly past her shoulders and she has a deep side part, creating bangs that sweep across the right side of her face, which she normally runs her fingers through and pulls back to keep from falling into her icy blue-grey eyes. Her skin remains almost constantly pale, although she does get a bit sun-kissed during the summer.
Family: She's a Halfblood; her mother is a muggle and her father is a wizard. She has one little brother, named Mason, who's going into his first year at Hogwarts.
History: Melanie and her brother were raised as Muggles for their entire childhood, never knowing their father's status as a Wizard. Their parents did this because there are many squibs on her father's side, and if Melanie or Mason turned out to be unable to preform magic, their father didn't want them to be disappointed. Luckily, neither of them did, and when Melanie got her letter to Hogwarts at eleven, her father eagerly introduced the Wizarding World to his children.

Personality: Quiet and introverted, Mason is almost the opposite of his sister, Melanie. However, this doesn't stop him from always looking up to her, wishing that he could be as 'cool' as her. In an attempt to be more well-liked, Mason tries his hardest to do anything that anyone asks of him. He has a hard time saying no to any favor that gets asked of him. Because of this, people tend to walk on him and use him for their own good. He is also very studious and typically excels in school, which is commonly what people use him for. Even though he's usually taken for granted, Mason's heart is in the right place and he genuinely believes that he's doing a good thing. He's a truly kind and sweet boy.
Appearance: Mason is very similar to his older sister in appearance, with their dark hair and big, piercing eyes. However, unlike his sister, his eyes are a deep, chocolatey brown, and are typically hidden by wide-rimmed glasses. He's rather small and thin for his age, standing at an even five feet. Despite being thin, he still has a bit of baby fat in his round face, giving him large, dimpled cheeks when he smiles. Childlike freckles dot on and around his nose, giving him even more of a juvenile appearance.
