Chester smiled and shrugged. "It'd be fine." he said and nodded. "So, what class are you in?" he asked. "I'm in Gryffindor." he said. Duse stood on Chesters shoulder and turnned her head backwards looking at the back for some odd reason. She looked back at Rina and her cat, then, Dust took off, and landed on Swinan's head. Chester chuckled a little and shook his head. "Dust" he growled and the bird looked at him oddly, then flew back to his shoulder. He held his arm out, and the bird crawled to his hand. He opened the cage door with his free hand and put the bird in. Once inside the cage, Dust started shaking the cage and squaking. Chester hit the cage and growled no. Making the bird stop and stair at him. He looked back at Rina and sighed, looking at her and her cat with no so bright eyes. "Sorry..." he muttered.

Meg saw him blush and, if it was possible, got even more embarrassed.
Oh dear... I'm making you uncomfortable aren't I... I'm sorry, I should just go find my own compartment, I'm sure there's at least one left.
She stood up, but at that moment the train shuddered underneath her, throwing her to the floor. She was in a crawling position on her hands and knees, staring at the ground. She wanted to cry, this was not how the train ride was supposed to go.
Why am I always such a dork, she thought. She wasn't sure if she had said it aloud as well, but she was too upset to care anyways. Soren flew down and landed on her head. He started to affectionately peck at her cheek, desperately trying to cheer his master up. |

Rina smiled, "oh it's fine", she said. "I'm in ravenclaw" she smiled and looked at dust she seemed nice. Swinan opened her eyes and slowly closed them, she had to tired. She was lucky she was sitting next to Chester, he seemed like a nice guy. She closed her journal and put it away. The train had started moving, it was going to be a rather long ride. She had no idea of what to say to Chester. She never really talked to anyone and usually sat in an compartment by herself.

Azon looked confused. Why on earth would Meg want to leave? He stood up, and began to say, "Oh, no, don't go. It's fine, you can-" Aseia squawked, and batted her wings to stay on her perch.The train had jolted into motion, and Azon managed to steady himself by holding onto a seat. He saw that Meg wasn't so lucky, and had fallen over. "Meg, are you okay?" he asked, genuine concern in his voice, quick to offer a hand to help her up.

A couple of 3rd year boys had entered Caitlyn's compartment, despite her giving them her best death glare. Their banter was far too irritating, especially when they tried to include her in the conversation. After a few minutes she got up, grabbed her trunk, and walked out to find another compartment. To her disappointment, there were no empty compartments left. But she couldn't go back to where she was; she'd look like a fool! She sighed, and looked in the compartment nearest to her. A boy and a girl that looked like they wouldn't be too irksome sat inside. That would have to do, she told herself, and knocked on the door. She opened it and cleared her throat. "Can I sit in here?" she asked, "There's no other compartments left."

Meg took a deep breath and shoved her emotions down. Sort of I guess.
She took his hand and pulled herself up, then sat down. Soren cooed at her as to make sure she was alright. When he saw her acting more normal, he flew off and started searching the room for a nice perch. |

Azon helped her up, and then sat down, so as not to fall down himself. When leaving the station, the Hogwarts Express proved to be quite bumpy. He drummed his fingers on his knees. "So...." he began, "Do you want to go find the sweets trolley?" He heard the distant rustling of the trolley a few seconds earlier, but it probably wouldn't reach them for ten minutes or so. |

Melanie and Mason's heads both turned to glance at the girl who entered their compartment. The word "No," started to roll off of Melanie's tongue, but her brother, ever the generous, cut her off. "Sure you can!" He said happily, brown eyes glowing. He moved his owl cage in front of his feet on the floor, patting the empty spot next to him. His sister almost scowled, but fought against it and strained a smile in the unfamiliar girl's direction. "I'm Melanie," she said, in the politest voice she could muster. "And this is my little brother, Mason." Now that Melanie had the chance to look at the girl, she thought she may recognize her as a Slytherin.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

Caitlyn smiled gratefully, and stepped into the compartment. She placed her bag in the luggage holder above them and sat down where Mason offered. "I'm Caitlyn, Caitlyn Wolfric. Pleased to meet you." she said, her natural charm dripping from every word.

That's a great idea! I almost never get to go to Honeydukes, so I stock up on sweets here. My first year I was sitting at the front of the train; I cleared the cart of basically everything since I had never had wizard candy before. Everyone was furious with me, so I sold the stuff I didn't like for twice what I bought it for.
She giggled. That was one of the best times she had had at Hogwarts. She stood up and started to walk to the door, this time making sure she had a firm grip on something so she wouldn't end up on the floor again.

Kyle looked up from the book he had his nose buried in. Two boys had made their way into his compartment. Maybe this was a chance to socialize, that other Hufflepuff boy had fled quickly after he had entered. He shut the book and turned to the two.

Rina glanced at the sweets trolley, she took a couple of sweets from the cart. "the sweet car just got here", she looked a Chester. The sweets looked good, she plopped some into her mouth. She grinned they tasted as good as they looked. "try some", she pointed at the sweets cart "they're good", she remembered the first time she came to hogwarts. She didn't think there was going to be a sweets trolley. She put the rest of the sweets in her pockets. I'll eat them later, she thought. She started chewing on the piece of candy, it was rather creamy. She waited for Chester to see the trolley, she wasn't sure if he wanted any.

Chester smiled and nodded. He looked over at the trolley and took some of the sweets. Once eating one, he took a few more and chuckled. "Yeah, I got enough for you and me both if you want any more?" he offered and smiled politely. He wasn't normally this nice to anyone, but this girl seemed sweet and shy so she deserved to be treated nice. It wasn't in his nature to eat sweets, it'd be rare to spot him eating even one. But, since it was a good day and he hadn't eaten anything in two days, he had decided to eat. But, he was going to Hogwarts, he was suprised he had even got in with the pranks he pulled so many years in a row. One even almost lead to death, but was quickly stopped before it happened. He chuckled at the thought, it was time to celebrate to him, so he ate a two more sweets.

Azon laughed at Meg's story. "How much money did you have to buy all those sweets?" he asked, stunned, "The first time I came to Hogwarts, my parents had forgotten to give me any wizard money, so I didn't get to buy any sweets until nearly a month in, when they sent some galleons by owl." He got to his feet, and opened the compartment door. He looked down the hall and, sure enough, the sweets trolley was doing its rounds. He stepped out and walked down the hall towards it. |

Meg stepped toward the sweet cart and pulled out a large bag full of galleons. She bought the cart out of chocolate frogs and got at least one of each of the other items as well. She pulled out a chocolate frog, popped it in her mouth, and looked at the card before shoving her stuff into the large bag she had pulled the galleons out of. Only then did she answer his question.
Back at the orphanage I'm a sort of favorite among the staff, and there are a lot of staff there. When I joined Hogwarts, I decided one of my best friends, Riala, would be my "guardian", so to speak, and take care of all of my wizard affairs. She thought I would need a good amount of money to survive in the wizard world, so all of the staff pooled a portion of their salaries together for me, and even got some of their friends to help out. It turned out to be a lot of Muggle money, I think it was in the couple hundreds of thousands range. I converted it all into galleons only to discover that I had money from some sort of relative in a bank account in Gringotts already. That, plus a couple odd jobs each summer, and I'm actually pretty well off for an orphaned sixth year. |

Azon's eyes widened in shock. "Wow." he said, unable to think of something better to say. Instead, he turned his attention to the trolley, and purchased two pumpkin pasties, a liquorice wand, and a box of Bertie Bott's every flavour beans. He thanked the trolley lady and turned around to head back to the compartment. He opened his every flavour beans on the way, and popped one in his mouth. His mouth puckered and he spat it out immediately into his hand. "Bhut jolokia flavour." he spluttered, and started panting desperately. "Need water." he choked, and sprinted back to the compartment, where he had a water bottle for the train ride. He emptied the entire contents of the bottle into his mouth.

Meg walked back into the compartment, fighting hard to suppress a giggle. She eventually won and sat down.
That's why I almost never eat those things. Soren likes them for some reason though, I always buy a pack for him.
Meg opened the pack of beans she had bought and set it on the bench next to her. Soren flew down and started to peck at them; he had a knack for avoiding the bad ones, so in a couple seconds there was a pile of ones the owl wouldn't touch and a pile that he wolfed down. Meg picked a bean out of the good pile, and it turned out to be buttered popcorn.
She turned to face Azon. Anyways, I'm curious, where are you from? What's your family like? She paused for a moment, then decided to ask him, What's having a family like? |

Azon's mouth still felt like it was on fire, but he took the chance at eating another bean. Celery, this time. At least it cooled his mouth a bit. Aseia watched Soren eat from the good pile of beans from her perch jealously, then swooped down and snatched one up in her beak. She hooted happily when she was back on her perch. Azon laughed. "You know those mountains where the giants live? I'm from there, except a few valleys away from the giant settlement," he replied, when Meg asked him her questions, "All the elves in the UK live there, but that's not really saying much. There's my family, and six others, and that's it. It's pretty nice there, I guess, but not much chance to make friends outside other elves, like at Hogwarts. I actually like it better here, now that I think about it. But don't get me wrong, I love my parents and my sister heaps, I just like to have friends too." |

She looked at Chester, he was pretty nice. She watched the trolley go by, it was going to another seat. She leaned back into her seat and took her book out again, she was almost finished anyways. It wouldn't hurt to read a little bit more, after all it was just a book. Her cat lept onto her shoulder and settled down looking at what she was reading. Her cat liked to read with her. She smiled, she thought that Swinan would decide to read with her it was strangely Swinan's favorite thing to do.
