I read up on that area in an advanced geography class that I took on the side at school. There were a few pictures in the book, it looked really nice. And I can't blame you for liking Hogwarts more. I love it here, though ironically I can't wait until I graduate. I don't even know what I want to do, but I'm so excited to get into the wizard world.

Azon's mouth had cooled down a significant amount since he ate the bhut jolokia bean, so he decided to brave another one. He shuffled around the box for a relatively safe-looking one. A light pink one turned out to be marshmallow, which he thought was delicious. "So, tell me about where you're from. The orphanage, I mean." he said, and leaned forward to listen.

Blade opened one eye to glare at Twilight
Lilith finds the sweets trolley. She asks for 5 chocolate frogs and and 3 Pumpkin Pasties, using the wizard money she stole from her parents house before leaving.

Rowan and Basil grinned, walking in and seating themselves opposite the boy with glasses. They knew exactly which one of them was going to answer, even as Basil spoke up. " Hi, name's Basil Hunt, and this ugly mug beside me is Rowan." His brother muttered something about being him being a dwarf, which Bas promptly ignored as he kept speaking. "And you are?" Rowan scowled at his brother, before taking Hood out of his bag, to nestle the kitten comfortably against his stomach inside the warm folds of his cloak. Basil fiddled with Faris's cage, petting the barn owl through the slender bars and stroking its feathered head. The both of them had an identical look of contentness in their eyes, like they were happy to be sitting there with their pets and the new stranger.

Daphne walked along the train, making sure everyone was okay. She had to squeeze past the sweets train, and apologized to the trolley lady. A few seconds after she had passed it, she stopped, and turned back around. "Actually, could I get two chocolate frogs please and a box of every flavour beans please?" she asked, and handed the lady some coins, before taking her sweets. She headed back in the direction of her own compartment. When she got there, she opened the door and entered. "Got you some lollies." she said to Arabella and Ridge. They both grinned. She handed them each a chocolate frog and put the box of every flavour beans on the table in the center of the compartment for them to share. "Thanks, Daph." Ridge said, through eating his chocolate frog. |

"A Slytherin, are you?" Melanie asked abruptly, no longer able to hide her curiosity. There was something particularly strange about this girl, although Melanie couldn't quite put her finger on it. She had a way of speaking, that, even when she was just introducing herself, made you hang onto every word she said. Mason clearly was doing just that, openly staring at Caitlyn- perhaps mesmerized by her seemingly impossible beauty, or taken by the charm seeping through her words.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

Kyle smiled as Willow cooed at the newcomers from her cage and spoke.
The name's Kyle Aaron, first year, likely Griffindor. It's a pleasure to meet you, Rowan and Basil. If I may ask, what house are you in?
Kyle hoped they said Griffindor. Even Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff would be okay, but admitting that he was likely a future Griffindor would not go well with a pair of Slytherin boys. He might be in for a rather unpleasant train ride if such was the case.

Meg considered what to say. There was a lot that she probably shouldn't, the orphanage wasn't known for following laws. She chose her words carefully as she spoke them.
Well, it isn't exactly the best place in the world. They do things to us, things too horrid for words, things that are illegal and they still get away with it because we're all afraid of them. Most of the kids get neglected, abused, and mistreated, especially by the director. It's much worse for girls too.
I've managed to stay under the radar for most of my life, and the staff like me a lot so it's easier for me, but other kids aren't so lucky. Most of them go insane by the age of eight. Probably the only reason I haven't is because of Hogwarts, and the fact that the staff there try to help me by doing random acts of kindness for me during the summer. I'm sort of like their project; they want one kid to make it out of there with their mind completely in tact, because then they can tell someone about the horrible place without being subject to the wrath of the director.

Basil and Rowan gave him an identical troublemakers grin, seemingly out of the blue. "We're Griff boys through and through." Bas said, allowing Faris to perch himself on his fingers. Rowan had a more curios look in his eyes at he looked at Kyle, wondering why the first year had wanted to talk to the two. Most train rides, the two kept their own company throughout and they relished the new conversation.

Sonali plopped another piece of candy in her mouth and looked out the window. "so where do you live", she asked Chester. I live right here, she pulled out a map she had drawn in her journal, it's a rather peaceful place. We never really have visitors, we live near a forest. It's fun to explore and write about, I go to the library a lot. There's not much to do. She pulled out several drawings of animals and plants she had seen in the forest, several of them were nocturnal. She had been exploring the forest since she was a small child.

Caitlyn smiled at her warmly, and replied, "Yes, I am," She twirled a stray lock of hair around her finger, before brushing it back behind her ear, and continuing, "What house are you two from? I don't believe I've seen you around the Slytherin common room."

Meg sighed. Talking about this wasn't fun in the slightest.
Because of how afraid everyone is of the director. He's awful, and he has so many ties everywhere, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that if the orphanage was closed down, he would trample everyone that he thought had to do with it. Unfortunately, he even has ties with important police. There is literally nothing that anyone under his control can do about it. Especially the children, we're in exceptional danger, because he owns us.
But that's why I'm so important. I'm a wizard, and once I graduate I can do something about it. He can't hurt me, because I can hide with magic. I may even be able to get the wizard government to intervene, and then there would be absolutely nothing he could do about it. I've seen what he's done to some little girls, and it's awful. They go insane. That has to be stopped, and I think I might be able to do it. The staff thinks so too, that's why they are so generous and kind to me.

Awesome. I'm pretty much a sure thing for Griffindor, all the way back to my great-great-grandparents has been Griffindor. I was worried you guys were Slytherin; aren't those blokes just awful?!
Willow cooed from her cage as if agreeing with Kyle. She started to peck out the bars, and Kyle realized that she wanted to get out. He unlocked the cage and let her fly out. She happily flew around his head until she decided to perch on his shoulder.

Violet looked at Lilith and opened her mouth to speak, only to close it again moments later. Leon looked at her and then at Lilith, "I'm afraid we didn't start off on the right foot." he said, "I am Leon and these are my sisters." he said as he motioned to Twilight and Violet. He then looked at the door, "I'm sure they will introduce themselves when they are ready."

Azon didn't quite know what to say. Even Aseia didn't feel like being her usual noisy self. He saw that Meg wasn't exactly comfortable talking about it so, after a long pause, he realised the time and decided to change the subject. "I'm gonna go get changed into my robes. We should be arriving at Hogwarts soon, I think." he said, and got up. He began to rummage through his trunk to find his school robes.

A small, warm smile came from Rowan as he watched Kyle's owl fly around, hearing Faris caw disappointedly and flap his wings against the bars of his cage. Hood mewled at the owl, snagging Rowan's cloak with needle thin kittens claws. Basil nodded in agreement with Kyle's comment, adding to with vehemence. "Yup. They never seem to have anything right about them."
