Jua gasped, "that sooo mean!" she said, pouting slightly. __ Dhark just nodded, then turned and vanished into the trees on his side of the border. __ Lukas perked his ears and sniffed the air, "Quicksilver, Primrose, Jem," he called over his shoulder, "Dagger and Mocha have found her." He jogged over to the other wolves, "Darcy?" he pressed his nose into the little wolf's fur, "why does she smell like rainpack?" he asked, growling slightly. "A Rain Pack wolf pulled her from the water." Dagger managed to say though a mouthful of fur. |

"You asked for it!" Sheathe said with a smirk, standing up. "I'll take it back if you admit that I won." __ Mocha gave Lukas a meaningful look and whispered "It was Dhark," just loud enough for him to hear but nobody else. Her tail dragged on the ground. Primrose padded up to Dagger, Jem lingering a little ways away. "Darcy!" she cried, sniffing her pup carefully. "Oh, she's freezing to death!" Darcy didn't respond, and only whimpered. Jem cocked his head, looking at Mocha questioningly. "Weren't you supposed to stay behind?" he whispered. "Don't ask," she said back quietly. And he didn't.

Zane smiled, sitting down next to Sheathe. "To call him slow would mean to call me a snail; I couldn't run faster than him if I tried. And trust me, I've tried. A lot." Sheathe chuckled, getting a feeling that Zane was not comfortable around Jua. He said nothing, hoping it would pas s. He didn't want to leave Zane, but he didn't want to leave Jua either. They would have to get used to each others' company. "I'm not slow," he insisted, shooting a stony look at Jua. "You're the slow one here."

Jua snorted, "I'm sorry, whos the one who caught their rabbit first? Oh yeah! ME!" she teased. She looked over at the entrance to the den she shared wtih Mwezi and saw her sister padding sleepily out of the den. Still groggy, Mwezi made her way over to Jua, Zane, and Sheathe. She said down in the snow and yawned, "its impossible to sleep when you're this hungry." she grumbled. |
