(Ok,thought so. I'm just gonna make it sound nicer and call it the animal shelter,lol.)
Shadow reached the doors that lead inside of the 'Animal' Shelter and sighed. She had always hated how everyone called it the pound. She then went towards the doors that lead into the room with all the cages the humans were kept in. Ussually she would check on the humans and make sure that none of them were sick or needed anything before she did anything else. She walked up to one of the cages,the one with Jessica and James in it. Making sure neither one looked like they were injured she asked,"Are you both ok? Anything wrong at all?"

James was too interested in Evan and Julia to notice Shadow. Jessica looked at Shadow and shuck her head no. She had always been punished if she talked. Her master always stating 'Pets don't talk' as he hit her. She was glad that James would and could talk even if she had to take the beating for him if they where re homed she would help him so he could still be happy.

Shadow smiled and said,"Ok then. You can talk to me if you want to. I won't hurt you." She then added,"Tell me if you need anything." Before going to the front of cage that Evan and Julia were in. She sighed and crouched down before asking them the same question. She waited for the answer and as she did her attension went towards James. She smiled and thought,'He is such a happy little human child.' Her attension went back towards Evan and Julia.

Keenan practically snarled at the Anthro who was bringing him food. He wasn't a pet, despite what they said. He didn't belong in a cage, despite of the fact he was in one now. He was human, not an animal. The man hated the fact that Anthros were in charge when they were half human anyways. It was ridiculous they would do this to their 'cousins' in the animal world.
"Do that again, human, and we'll have put you down." The man outside the cage was taunting him with obvious distaste. Granted, the majority of anthros talked to him like that.
Keenan rolled his eyes at the animal thing. He would prefer being put down compared to this life in a cage. He took the moment to check out his surroundings. They had finally moved his cage to join the other humans; he had been in a separate room before. There were quite a few humans here. That surprised him. What surprised him more was the fact an Antrho was being so nice to them.

Julia raised her head to the small child. "He is so cute!" She squealed with delight. She turned her attention to Shadow. Julia lowered her tone. "Hello..." She whispered slightly. She never had to talk to them. For once Julia's smile was gone.
Evan stared at the small child looking at him and his sister. "Sure, he is cute, but luckily he is too young to know what's going on." He whispered to his sister. Julia didn't even slightly glance at him. Evan raised his head and looked up. "Hi." he said to Shadow. He wasn't really afraid, but his sister was.
"We are doing fine," Evan said to Shadow. "Thanks."

James tilted his head as he wondered who they where talking to. He turned his head before letting out a gasp and running to his mum hugging her and hiding his head into her shoulder as she stroked his back to make him feel relaxed. Every now and then though you could see Jame peeking out to look at Shadow in a shy and scared manner.
Kaze looked around the shop. He could tell this was going to be a dead day already. He was bored of the same thing everyday and decided he was going to go the pound to get a pet not one young he didn't want to look after it. After closing the shop he made his way to the pound and walked into the reception looking around for someone who worked there.

Sakura woke up in her cell. "Just another day in prison. Why am I even in here?"
Kiba woke up his eyes opened and he sat up. "Because we rampaged in the city sis. That's why." He walked over to the bars and looked at all the anthro's locked up in cells. Sakura walked over to the bars and punched it. "I hate it here." She screamed and went to her bed and lyed down. |
