Aastha was in a dark alley, as she usually was. She would occasionally glance around to see if anyone was nearby. If anyone was, then Aastha would give them a glare so sharp it could probably cut through metal (not literally, but you get the point). If there wasn't anyone then Aastha went back to silent contemplation of what to do in the future. She was a criminal. She didn't want to be one. She had to take care of herself for the sake of the unborn child inside her.
"Your dad would want me to find some way to take care of us both." Aastha whispered. "Not that he's here to see if we do or not..." The father of Aastha's baby had been killed a while ago, NOT by Aastha, and Aastha was determined that she was going to keep his legacy alive...in his child.
"Don't know what I'll do, ya know...a feline with my sort of background." Aastha whispered, with a slight chuckle. The laugh meant nothing. Aastha looked down at her own stomach, trying to picture the cub inside her.

Sakura opened the door and ran out the door Kiba hot on her tail. She ran then reach an alleyway with another anthro. She growled at her then saw she was having a cub. Kiba walked up to her."I'm kiba." He said
"And I'm Sakura. Who are you?" Sakura asked curiously then looked at the other anthro. Kiba howled then Sakura howled back they were saying. freedom!!! |

Aastha looked at Kiba and Sakura. She was very tempted to growl at them but she decided not to; she didn't want to get into any fights, and especially not with an unborn child to think of. Si she just stood up straighter and paused before introducing herself.
"'ey. The name's Aastha." she said, holding out a hand/paw. Her accent was an odd one; if the letter 'h' was at the beginning of a word then Aastha had great difficulty in pronouncing it, and thus pronounced the word 'hey' as 'ey. The same sort of thing happened for the letter 'g' if it was at the end of a word.
"Kiba and Sakura then, eh? Cool names." she said, though her voice was an emotionless one, as per her nature when talking to someone. "Yeah...in case you 'aven't already guessed, I'm pregnant. My baby's due in about a week, maybe less." Aastha glanced down at her stomach. It could only just be told that she was pregnant just from looking at her. The unborn child inside her moved a little, and Aastha felt it. Then it settled and she sighed.
"Yep. The little tyke's gonna be born pretty soon." she said.

Shadow nodded and could tell that James was scared,along with Julia. She sighed and said,"Ok then.",before standing back up straight and walking towards the main part of the Pound. She spotted Kaze and asked,"Hello. Are you looking to get a human? Or are you sending one back?" She then waited for the answer.

Kaaera sighed as she entered the "pound". She wondered about the humans that lived there. She then decited to adopt one to take care of. "hello? anyone?" she asked

Shadow spotted Kaaera too and said,"Over here." She then turned towards her and asked,"Coming to adopt a human?" She then waited for both their answers and sighed. 'Where were the other workers today?'She thought.

pression on his face. "Adopt" He said before looking around the room taking in all the posters talking about looking after your human and if you don't want babies on your paw to get them nurtured (I don't know if i spelled that right). He sighed once again he didn't care if they had kids he could always throw it in the Shelter once it was old enough or find it a good home to go to.

"Julia?" Evan's voice was worried. He couldn't be separated from his sister as annoying as she was. "Someone's hear to buy a human. I'm trying to listen to what they are saying. The looks on their face, I know they want something." Evan was sure of this unfortunate thing. He heard all the cruel stories from the other humans who have been transferred to this pound had it much worse. He didn't want to be taken.
Julia could see Evan was worried. Because he is never worried, this must be really serious. Julia wondered if she should be scared or not. She didn't want to leave her brother. Julia Olive believed what Evan said about anthro's who want to buy humans. She and her brother moved to the back of their cages and sat in the shadows shaking in fear of losing each other.

Kaze followed as he looked at the humans all he could see other then the two the other Anthro wanted was a female and child and a male that looked like he has had it bad. He sighed he didn't want the child or the female having a feeling they where somehow related so he walked over to the other male and tilted his head as he looked at him. He then began to look at the male and the other two as if wondering who to choose he then tilted his head. "These three" He said pointing at the male and the Female and child. He knew that the Female could look after the child while they male could help his shop with the supplies.

She then looked at Kaze and said,"From what I hear that male is a trouble maker,but with the right person taking care of him that could change. That is also a wise idea taking both the child and it's mother."

Aastha cast a glare, but only a brief one.
"I'm not gonna say the little tyke's father's name." she said. Then she shrugged. "I'm ok for now. Ya can 'ang around 'ere if ya like. I don't really mind." Her accent again prevented her from saying the letter 'h' at the beginning of words, and also made her pronounce the word 'you' as 'ya'.
Aastha felt the unborn child inside her shift again, as if they were trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in.
"I'm tryin' to think of what I'll call 'im or 'er when it's born." she went on. Then she sighed. "I know I've done some bad things in my time, thin's I'm real ashamed of, thin's that don't even bare thinkin' about...do you think it's possible for someone like me to change?"

Kaze nodded as he looked back at the male. He was sure that the male had has a bad life but he would show him that not all anthros where the same. Kaze then walked over to Shadow and tilted his head at her. "Do i have to sign any papers?" He asked her this being the first time he had ever adopted a human.
Jessica looked up seeing Kaze wondering why he was going to adopt her with James she wasn't complaining she was happy he was, it was just she thought that anthros would try to separate them. She then moved James so he was sitting in her lap while she stood up and held him in her arms.
James looked around from his mothers arms. "Mummy are we going somewhere?" He asked her seeing her nod. He sighed he had never heard his mothers voice and he wondered if it was normal for moms not to talk when they become moms.
