Because left handedness is a recessive trait. I have it because my grandma on my mom's side is lefthanded and my dad is left handed. So the both had the lefthanded allele that was p*censored*ed on to me. :3 Something similar with you. Both your parents had the lefthanded allele, whether it shows or not.))

Allele? o_o And yeah, but they're right-handed...so was my grandfather, and my grandmother too, I believe. xD

You'll figure it out eventually. xD And it's probably that the left-handed trait was hidden in family for generations until two matched up to make you. =P

Omgoodess Loki, Genes and alleles. Its Yr11 Biology all over again. I have a Recessive gene, a bone disorder, and I have the short gene.... Okey i think i made that one up, I'm short because of the disorder :3.

LOL. I'm in grade 10 and we learned about it a few weeks ago. xD And yes, there is a short allele. :3 And somehow I got the bad end of the genetics on that one. =3= *was expected to be 5'10" and is only 5'4"*
