Vrakka was doing what she normally did on nice, sunny days like today.  Looking for food and jumping at every sound she heard.  Earlier, she had fought with a Pidgey over a berry, since it looked like it was pretty weak.  Good thing she got that berry after the fight.  The Pidgey was weaker than most like she had thought, but it still had a mean peck attack.  Her head didn't stopped throbbing for hours after that, even after eating the berry.

Absentmindedly rubbing the light spot on her tail, Vrakka began heading for the beach.  Mabye she could fight some Magikarp.  As far as she knew they weren't able to do any damaging attacks.  The only problem might be getting one to fight her.  Magikarp didn't usually just jump onto land looking for a fight that often.  Oh well, that would be a problem she could deal with when she got to the beach.

As Vrakka neared the beach, the ground became full of rocks that had been pushed onto the land by storms.  She heard what sounded to her like claws scraping over a rock.  She froze, looking around without moving her head to see if it was a predator.  Not seeing anything, Vrakka very slowly moved towards a hiding spot, before diving under a rock for cover, sand flying out from under her claws.  There probably wasn't anything dangerous out there, but she really didn't want to take any chances.  And so under the sandy rock Vrakka hid, hoping she hadn't attracted the attention of a stronger pokemon.  Especially not a Dewgong.  She had seen one from a distance with a trainer once and it absolutely terrified her, with it's big fangs and pointy horn thing.  Those pokemon were menaces!

((Becky:I'd prefer it to be a Yanma since it's a native species, but Vibravas are cooler.  You know what, go ahead and have a shiny Vibrava.  I say you deserve it for starting.

I wonder what those other people who joined are doing...Just to clarify things, we have indeed started.  Those big long posts you see are not big conversations.  There we go.  Now everybody will post.  :3  Also, wouldn't it be amazing if Vrakka's nickname was VraVra?  It seems like it would be fun to shout at her.))

Other: Sally is an optimistic and cheerful Pokemon. She used to be teased by her friends when she was a Trapinch because of her colour, but since she evolved she doesn't care about that any more. She helps Kyoko to be braver and the two become close friends.

Kyoko used dig to hide. But what she heard next came as a shock to her.

"I'm so sorry, did I startle you?" a voice from above asked her. "Please come out. I just want to say hello!" Cautiously, Kyoko poked her head from the hole and found herself looking into the smiley face of a Vibrava.

"Um, hi..." Kyoko said, climbing fully out of the hole.

"Hi!" the Vibrava said cheerfully, waving a front leg in greeting. "My name's Sally! What's yours?"

"My name's Kyoko." Kyoko said, shyly. "Forgive me for asking, but...why are your wings and eyes orange instead of green? I don't mean to offend you..." But the Vibrava named Sally simply shook her head, still smiling.

"No, no. It's no offence at all. I get asked that question all the time!" Sally said. "I was born like this. I'm a shiny Pokemon. It basically means I'm a different colour from all the other Vibravas."

"Wow..." Kyoko said. She kicked a pebble and continued. "Um, why did you want to talk to me?"

"I just thought you looked kinda lonely, so I thought I'd introduce myself." Sally replied. "So...Kyoko, isn't it? Can we be friends?" Kyoko's eyes widened. 

"You and me... friends?" she asked, stunned. "I..don't have any friends..." Sally flickered her wings.

"Is that true?" she asked. "Then...all the more reason for us to be friends!" She smiled again. Kyoko smiled too. 

"I guess so!" she giggled. She loved the thought of having a true friend. "Um...so where are you headed?"

"Nowhere in particular. How about you?" Sally asked.

"Me neither." Kyoko replied. "I'm just wandering around until I figure out what I want to evolve into."

"That's understandable." Sally said, her antenna twitching. "After all, you have loads of evolution choices, being an Eevee. Actually..." The shiny Vibrava paused.

"What?" Kyoko asked, flicking her ears.

"I happen to know a Pokemon who can judge what evolution would suit you best." Sally explained. 

"Really?" Kyoko asked in disbelief. 

"Yes, it's true." Sally nodded. "He lives on a mountain not far from here. He's a bit moody at times but...I'm sure he can help us."

"Hmm, that sounds interesting..." Kyoko pondered what to do. "...alright, I've decided. Let's fine this Pokemon and find out what I should evolve into!" Sally grinned.

"That's the spirit!" she said. "Let's go!"

Vrakka peered out from the rock she was under, not seeing anybody around.  She thought she could hear voices, but mabye it was just some sort of oceany type of sound.  Knowing how she tended to be, Vrakka was begining to feel like she had imagined it.  She blush slightly, feeling stupid for thinking somebody was there when they actually weren't.  She still heard the sounds that seemed like voices, but by now she had managed to convince herself that it was nothing.

Vrakka scrabbled out from under the rock, trying to remember what she had been doing before she paniced.  After thinking hard about it for a moment, she recalled that she was going to train against any Magikarp she could find, and headed once more for the water.

There was just one problem; Kyoko couldn't fly. She'd have to climb to the mountain's summit. But that would take hours. Fortunately, Sally came up with the solution and used Fly to carry Kyoko.

"Are you sure I won't be too heavy for you?" Kyoko asked. Sally laughed.

"No, it'll be fine!" she said, vibrating her wings. "Believe me, I've carried heavier Pokemon in my time." So, within the hour, they were almost at the mountain's summit.  Kyoko was still worried that her new friend would tire but Sally seemed fine. In fact, she seemed perfectly happy, and was humming contentedly to herself. Or was that just the humming of her wings? Kyoko didn't know.

As soon as her feet touched the ground, Kyoko glanced around, frantically. She was worried that she would be attacked by enemies at any moment. Sally, who had come to land beside her, noticed this.

"You're quite the nervous type, aren't you?" she asked. Almost reluctantly, Kyoko nodded.

"Yes...and I'm ashamed of it." she whispered.

"No need to be! There's nothing to be ashamed of!" Sally said. "It's perfectly natural!" Kyoko looked at her.

"You really think so?" she asked. But before her friend could reply, there came a sharp cough from behind them.

"Ah, what do we have here?" a strange voice said. "Uninvited guests?" Sally and Kyoko quickly turned around to some face to face with a rather scary looking, tall black Pokemon.

"It's you, Gothitelle!" Sally sighed in relief. "We need your help!"

"You need my help?" the Psychic-type said. "Oh, I guessed. But it's your friend that need help, not you, correct?"

"Right as always, Gothitelle!" Sally laughed, before nudging Kyoko and lowering her voice to a whisper. "Go on, tell him." Kyoko gulped.

"I want to know what I should evolve into." she said. Gothitelle looked at her.

"Heh heh heh, I could tell you that!" he said after a moment, chuckling. "I can read the stars and tell you that answer. But there is a condition..." 

"What's that?" Kyoko asked. She sensed something was wrong. But it was still a shock to her when Gothitelle fired a Psybeam attack at her and Sally. They leapt back, narrowly avoiding it.

"...the condition is that you'll have to beat me in battle!" Gothitelle laughed, before he began to advance towards them.

((No need to feel sorry.  Big posts are better than little.  They're just kind of intimidating at times.)) 

Vrakka arrived at the waters of the ocean, taking a few moments to marvel at the massive amount of water.  She had seen the ocean before, but it still sent chills down her spine everytime at the thought of how many water pokemon must live in it.  She didn't like water pokemon at all.  They either made fun of her or attacked her, and their attacks hurt a lot.  With sudden nervousness, Vrakka approached the water's edge, hoping to see a Magikarp or two to fight.  No, wait, just one Magikarp.  She wasn't sure if she could fight two. 

Suddenly, Vrakka heard a splashing noise to her left.  Turning her head, she noticed a very very angry looking Krabby coming at her while muttering angry sounding things.  Squeeling, Vrakka turned and ran.  Those pincers on that pokemon were massive!  It was probably a water type too, since it came from the ocean, which made things that much worse.  " Help me!  Ahhhh! " Vrakka yelled, not taking into consideration that her cries of terror might attack a bigger, more dangerous, and more aggressive pokemon.

((Hehe.  Just think about what that must look like to other pokemon.  A sandshrew, running down a beach screaming, while being chased by a Krabby.  Anybody else find that amusing?

The battle was intense. Kyoko squealed in fear as she narrowly dodged another Psybeam attack. She was about to use Dig to hide when all of a sudden...Sally launched herself at Gothitelle. Gothitelle teleported away and reappeared just behind the shiny Vibrava. Sally only had time to gasp before Gothitelle used Psychic on her, lifting her up and holding her in midair. Sally winced in pain.

"Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Gothitelle laughed. "I have you now, you strange little Pokemon!" Kyoko thought her new friend was finished. Kyoko tried to gather her courage to strike back at Gothitelle. But before she could...

"Sorry, Gothitelle, but..." Sally began, a grin spreading over her face. "...I don't think so!" Then Sally winked, sending out a cloud of pink hearts. Kyoko recognised that move...it was Attract. She knew because she had often used that move before, herself. The hearts collided with Gothitelle. He seemed to shudder briefly. Then he gasped and stopped his attack. Sally gasped as the Psychic energy dispersed and she fell. But she unfolded her wings and managed to land quite softly. Gothitelle was staring intently at her...it was clear that the Attract had worked.

"Wait..." Kyoko said. "Gothitelle's a DUDE? Then why does he wear a dress?" Kyoko blinked and shook her head. 

"Now, Gothitelle..." Sally began, winking again but this time not using Attract. "Do be a dear and tell my friend Kyoko what she should evolve into. Please?"

"Yes, Sally." Gothitelle said, in a blissful tone of voice. He glanced briefly over at Kyoko. "Follow me." 

Vrakka ran for quite a distance until the Krabby managed to corner her against some boulders.  It charged, er...scuttled, towards her, looking ready to snap those claws on her as hard as it could.  Vrakka turned around and started kicking sand up into the pokemon's face using sand attack.  The Krabby made sounds of discomfort, unable to rub it's now sand filled eyes without any paws or hands.  Vrakka watched the Krabby carefully, hoping there was a way she could run from it.  Unfortunately there was no escape.  The Krabby had her cornered and she was to small to climb over the rocks and she didn't know dig yet. 

With sudden determination, Vrakka decided that instead of trying to run away, she would fight the Krabby off.  A good portion of her mind was telling her just how stupid this idea of hers was, but she did her best to ignore it as she ran up to the Krabby a scratched it as hard as she could on it's face, just barely managing to jump out of the way as the Krabby swung a claw at her.  It swung at her again, this time managing to grab hold of her little stubby tail.  The Krabby used Vicegrip now that it had gotten hold of her, crushing Vrakka's poor taill with it's pincer.  Vrakka squeeled and quickly used Defense Curl.  The Krabby made a wierd sound, almost like laughter, as it tightened it's hold on Vrakka's tail.  Vrakka flailed around, trying desperatly to free her tail from the other pokemon's hold.  She finally managed to slip her tail out of the Krabby's grip and swung around, scratching it multiple times in the face.  The Krabby, badly injured by Vrakka's attack, groaned an collapsed on the ground, unconsious.

Vrakka looked in shock at the now fainted Krabby.  How had she managed to beat such a scary pokemon?  A sharp pain in her tail told her she should go find an oran berry to eat soon.  Rubbing her injured tail, Vrakka frowned and began slowly making her way back to the forest she had come from.  As she walked, her mind came up with all sorts of unpleasant scenarios that increased her nervousness with every step she took.  What if there weren't any Oran berries around?  What if the last Oran berry belonged to a Dewgong?

"Oh, wow!" Kyoko gasped. Gothitelle had guided them through to a vast chamber. But what a splendid chamber it was! It seemed that the entire night sky was mapped out across the stone walls and roof. Sally and Kyoko were breathless, but Gothitelle did not react.

"I used my powers to turn this chamber into a map of the night sky." Gothitelle said. "Every day the pattern of stars changes to match the stars in the night sky outside. Now, Kyoko, this is where I will read your future."

"This is so amazing!" Kyoko said. "Okay." Gothitelle turned his back to Sally and Kyoko. He gazed up at the brilliant array of stars that glittered all around. Occasionally he would nod or mutter to himself. Then he turned back to the two other Pokemon.

"I have reached a conclusion." Gothitelle said. Kyoko's tail twitched.

"Then what should I evolve into?" she asked, eagerly. Gothitelle chuckled.

"Patience is a virtue." he said. "Very well, I'll tell you." Sally nudged Kyoko and they both grinned with anticipation. "The Alomomola constellation is directly overhead, signalling that you will evolve via happiness. The Solrock constellation is also present, meaning that you shall evolve in the day."

"So that means...I should evolve into Espeon?" Kyoko asked. 

"No. You WILL evolve into Espeon." Gothitelle said. "The stars are never wrong."

"Wow..." Kyoko said.

"Later, Sally had taken Kyoko and flown back down the mountain. Once they'd landed, they had spent most of their time squealing with delight over the news. Kyoko now knew the path she had to take...and she was prepared to take it.

Vrakka had now reached the forest once more and had been searching for oran berries.  Unfortunatly, she hadn't found a single trace of any Oran berries around this area.  She might just have to wait for her tail to heal on it's own, which could take a very long time without any help. 

Vrakka frowned a little in dissapointment, but was a little happier at the thought that she hadn't been attacked by any other pokemon, which was nice.  Sounds of some creature flying were above her for a moment, making her bolt for the cover of a nearby bush as the pokemon landed.  Peering out from under her hiding spot, Vrakka saw what appeared to be an Eevee riding on the back of an oddly colored Vibrava.  She was kind of confused by the coloring of the Vibrava, seeing as she had been told they looked different, but decided they must be one of those pokemon who can change appearances depending on where they were born or something.
