Karasu let the umbreon out of its pokeball.
"You don't deserve to be in there." she said, then crouched down to look him in the eyes.
"I'm Karasu. Some pokemon talk, I've heard. Do you?" she asked inquisitavely.
...
I talk, the umbreon thought, but do I want to let her know that? He sighed, and came to the conclusion that it wouldn't hurt.
"Yes."
The girl pushed her glasses up her face.
"Do you already have a name?" she asked.
"Nope. You can name me, I suppose."
The girl appeared to be spacing out for a few seconds.
"I'll name you... Gold." she said.
The umbreon was pleased with his new name.
