Mallick looked up, his eyes clouded over, looking like mearely a reflection of the strength and pride he had represented just moments ago. "Please, don't kill me...", He pleaded softly, making no attempt to right himself, but instead sliding the swords across the room with his good arm, a gesture of peace, "It was just a job. I haven't killed anyone yet, for I am only one of many. You have already done away with the two men who killed the youngest princesses. They were the duo that you just confronted in the great hall."

Rukiea growled. "And how many are there exactly?" She grabbed the swords Mallick had. "And why who sent you here?" She pointed the sparking knife at his head.

"At least twenty others. And I do not know her name. It is a girl, for I saw her once. She was cloaked, the hood was up, but my employer is unmistakably a girl. I've asked around and no one knows who she is.", Mallick said, obviously frightened by the knife Rukiea pointed at him.

Rukiea sighed. "I can see that... Hmm... I wonder if..." She held the knife in her mouth and flipped through the book. "A memory spell....." She looked at Mallick. "I need you to remember everything about her." She looked at Jay. "Jay, you need to help me."

This one is a relatively decent swordsman. Maybe, if he learns to listen to us, he can become a knight.", Maybell said, grinning, "If he can last through a training session with the captian." |
