Bic: "Hey, don't worry about it Rukiea, as long as you are alright. You better go help Jake now." Jay said before leaving to go inside.

Rukiea walked into the castle and looked at Jake. The blood dripping was freaking her out. She thought he might die if she didn't help him at once. "Jake, what happen."

Jake looked at Rukiea an dsmiled. "I got stabbed with a dagger and im bleeding badly, but then again, i've been hurt forf a long time anyways."

Leena followed Rukiea, standing by Jake's side when they reached him. "Will he be okay?", she asked Rukiea quietly.

"Rukiea and Jay have been doing fine. It's Jake.", Maybell said, than proceeding to explain the whole situation, hoping that her father took it well.

Rukiea nodded. "Of course love. He's a strong man and he knows how to take pain." She smiled and put Jake on the stairs.

Jake sat down and held out his hands and waited for Rukiea. "Quickly now sister."

Rukiea took out a few vials and poured them together and smiled. She pored the mix all over Jake's shackles and they bubbled and turned red. "Here comes the pain."

Jake felt a terrible pain. He bit his lip and soon was yelling in pain. His eyes filled with tears and they began to roll down his cheeks.

"Father, it wasn't his fault.", Maybell protested, "He was ordered to come here by his Master. Jake is treated horribly where he lives. You are asking me to send him back? He is whipped and beaten, and I heard something about shackles. His sister is one of our protectors. And he is in love." The last remark was said in a much softer tone of voice. 

"What's is happening to him?!", Leena cried out, startled by Jake's reaction to the serum. She knelt beside him, her hand on his right shoulder, her eyes filled with concern. Leena's blue cotton dress rippled as she trembled, hating to see Jake like this.

The King sat quietly and thought about it. "I can see that you care about him." He started slowly. "And if he truly is the brother of one of your protectors, then I will give him another chance. But, he will be closely watched so be sure to tell him that if he makes even one bad decision, he is out. I trust your opinion, Maybell, so I hope he really is a good person."

Jake's shackles fell to molten peices on the floor and quickly cooled once they were off Jake's skin. "Ow.. ow..." Jake looked at the red rings around his wrists and the burns too,

"I'm sorry Jake. Bu tI had to melthis shackles off. I'm so sorry Jake." Rukiea poured another mixture on JAke's wrists. "That should help."

Jake nodded and stood up. He lost a lot of blood already. HIs head was hurting and he fell to his knees.

"Jake!", Leena cried out as he fell, rushing to his side and kneeling beside him, concerned. She looked at the new burns on his wrists and nearly had a heart attack. "What did you do to him?", she asked, looking up at Rukiea. There was a bit of sharpness to her voice, but her tone was dominated by concern.

Maybell just looked on silently, hoping that the situation would explain itself.

"i-i knew it would hurt.. B-but its my wound.. I bled... too..... mu-" Jake p*censored*ed out from the blood loss and was still loosing blood. The wound was crusted with some dry blood.

"Jake!!!" She looked at Maybell. "The nurse, get your nurse. I have no idea how to help his wound."

Maybell nodded, too startled to speak, and rushed off to the infirmiry. 

"Jake!", Leena shrieked, catching her friend before he hit the ground. "Oh, Jake...", she sighed, tears rolling down her cheeks. She laid him out, his head on her lap, and stroked his hair fondly. "Please be okay...", she mumbled, loudly enough for the others to hear her.

Rukiea knelt by her brother and looked at Leena. "So, you really do like my brother. I've never thought of him as the likeable type when he's so serious. Or when he threatens two people.." She looked at Jake and smiled.

Jake could not move his muscles ached but he could feel his body being moved and his hair being stroked. He dared not open his eyes. He feared what he might see. He felt tears hit his face. Leena.. Please don't cry. Damn this. I'm sorry.

"Yes. I've found that my heart belongs to him.", Leena sighed, looking up at Rukiea. She sighed, gently, taking his hand in her own, careful to avoid the newly made burns on his wrist. "If he dies from blood loss, or whatever is ailing him, I don't know what I'll do...", she whispered.

((Someone play the nurse?)) 

Rukiea blinked and smiled. "Well, I promise he won't die. Jake is strong. If he hasn't died from all the beatings, then i'm certain he won't die from a simple stab wound to his arm." She smiled and looked at Jake. Come on Jake.. Open your damn eyes.

Jake moaned and he opened his eyes slightly. He held onto Leena's hand and smiled weakly. He whispered as best he could. "Dont worry. I'm fine. I promise you."

The nurse ran in after hearing what had happened to Jake from Maybell. "So, how long has he had this wound?" She knelt by Jake and looked at the wound. "This will only hurt for a second." She took a needle and vial from her bag and filled the shot with the contents of the vial. She stuck it in Jake's arm and pulled it out. "THat should help with the pain. It'll feel numb soon."
