"You'd better be, Jake.", Leena whispered, "You'd better be."

Maybell stood by the doorway, not wanting to bother the others right now. She felt that they should be left alone. 

Rukiea quickly stood up and ran out the door. She had her sword drawn. "I'm guna borrow a horse!" Rukiea grabbed the black mare she used last time and saddled her. She hopped on and rode into the woods.

"What? You dont trust me." Jake began to laugh. "W-what was is that?!!" He laughed and looked at the nurse. He put his hand over his mouth.

"Dont worry about that." She began to clean the wound and bandaged it up. She sighed. "Too many warriors getting hurt like this."

"Of course I trust you, Jake.", Leena whispered, "I just don't want anything to happen to you. I can't stand to see you hurt."

"That's just how she is.", Maybell replies, smilling slightly at Leena and Jake, "He will be allowed to stay, thank goodness. But I think my dad thinks that I'm the one in love with him."

Rukiea jumped off the mare and tied her onto a tree. She jumped into a tree and slowly walked along the thickest branched and hopped into the tree in front of the one she was standing on. She looked through the leaves and watched a group of men dressed liek Jake. No way. This cannot be the troupe Jake belongs to.

The laughing will wear off soon. It's just something I made to keep the person distreacted from the pain,

Jake coughed and stopped laughing. "Anyways, i'm feeling better." He stood up.

"I'm glad you are.", Leena sad softly, standing and gently kissing Jake on the cheek. 

Rukiea watched the men. Several of them were a little underweight to the point that you could see their ribs through their clothes. Each of the men was shackled by his ankle and neck. They were chained in pairs. One man was the centre of it all. Probuably Jake's master, but she had no idea what he looked like. The man was rather muscular and had a snake tattooed to his arm. His hair was dark brown and he had a scar over both eyes. "I've gotta tell Jake and Jay..." Rukiea hopped off the tree and grabbed her horse.

Jake's cheeks got a pink-ish tint and her smiled. "I'm strong. I can get through a lot of things." He looked at Maybell. "Well, where is my room? And what did the King say about me staying?"

Leena took Jake's hand in her own and said softly, "This way. You have one of the nicest rooms in  the castle, if it hasn't changed since the last time I've been there."

"You're welcome, Jake", Maybell said, smiling, "If they come after you, Rukiea and Jake will take care of theme. How many would he dare to send after one man?"

"I hope they don't. If they win.... I never want to see you return to that horrid place. I never want him to have control over you again. I don't want to loose you, Jake.", Leena added, squeezing his hand slightly.

Rukiea gasped. "THey are coming... a whole lot more... Damn.,." She hopped on her horse and rode back to the castle.

Jake stopped. His eyes widened. His gift had sensed Rukiea's alarm. "No.." Jake let to of Leena's hand. "You, Leena, get somewhere safe. Maybell too.. Leita as well. Rukiea is alarmed..."

Jake looked at Jay and opened his mouth to say something, but he closed his mouth. He couldn't argue with the fact he really was injured. "Right... But it's not theives. I know the only thing that can alarm her this much is my troupe. They are coming for me." Jake felt a sharp pain in his injured arm. "Ow..." He looked at Leena. "Please, lead me to that room. I'll stay there and try to protect you girls if they do end up getting past Rukiea and Jay."

Rukiea rode into the stables and put the horse back. She quickly unsaddled her and ran inside. "J-Jay!! They troupe... Jake's troupe just about all came looking for him! I overheard some talking. The leader knows how strong Jake is. That's why he liked Jake. He kept him all this time tied up in max security so Jake could be his killing machine. They want him back.... About 20 in the troupe are all coming this way."

Maybell walked swiftly up to the two of them, and nodded. "I'll get Leita and Mallick.", she said, going upstairs.

"This way.", Leena said, gulping and leading Jake into his room, closing the door behind her. She had barely overheard Rukiea's frantic words to Jay, and a lump grew in her throat. Her jake was no killing machiene, and he did not desereve to be tied up like that. Seemingly for no reason, she threw her arms around him and cried.
