Rukiea nodded. "Your right..We never get a break. But i got a quick way to kill them." She opened her pouch and took out small golfball sized bombs. "Smoke bombs. I can just use my gift to see the men." She closed her eyes. "About 1/2 a mile.."

Jake fell on the bed. "Erm... are you okay?" He put his uninjured arm around her. His eyes filled with tears. W-why am I guna cry??

"I still can't get over the thought of how you were treated when he had you.", Leena said softly, still crying, "That man deserves to die a thousand horrible deaths. And now he's back to get you... With the rest of your men. Rukiea and Jake are exhausted... You are injured... They'll probably kidnap Maybell and Leita, and take you, your sister, and Jay into his army... I'll probably prove useless to him and he'll kill me, or worse, he'll take me in as a servent. Maybell's easy to work for, but the way you described your master?... And the punnishment that would await you..."

Maybell entered her room, and swiftly began to untie Mallick's legs, leaving his wrists bound. "You and Leita, come with me. We are about to be attacked.", she said, leading Mallick down the stairs and into the room with Jake and Leena, ignoring what they were doing, not wanting to intrude.

"Is there any spell you could do that would help us with that?" Jay asked.

Leita followed her sister and finally sat down when they got to the room. "Did we really need to bring him along?"

"Not even Mallick deserves to be taken by this man.", Maybell said softly, looing over at Jake and Leena. She made a mental note that if they ever survived this, Leena would become her personal attendant, one of the easiest and well-paying jobs in the castle.

"I don't know what I would do without you, Jake.", Leena said quietly, tears flowing from her eyes, "But if you go, I go. If only to be with you for a moment more."

Jay winced slightly. The effect of the shot happened pretty quickly which suprised him. "Well, this is certainly interesting. I always wondered how you saw things."

"Nothing would please me more than to be by your side.", Leena replied, smilling through her tears.

Mallick looked at Maybell and smiled slightly. He couldn't believe that he had attempted to kill such a forgiving princess. He than swore to himself that he would protect her with everything he had left if those men managed to reach them.

Rukiea removed the needle and placed it back in her pouch. "Well, now u know how I see you. You glow with red... But ur eye color will change too. They will remain red until 20 minutes is up." She smiled. "About a few yards. Let's go. It will be easy." She grabbed some short arrows and a bow. She tied the smoke bombs to the arrows and smiled. "Let's take care of this quickly. And their leader will be glowing blue. He is the one with the highest status."

Jake smiled. "Don't worry. You won't be taken. I promise." He sat up and looked at Mallick. "So, you master sent you here too?"

Jake hugged Leena. "Don't worry. I'm right." Jake looke dback at Mallick. "10 gold bars! The most i've been offered is a half-crown for farm work. I'm a slave so i'm forced to kill when they send me to do so." He looked at Mallick. "Hm... You and Leita and Rukiea are lonely. Leita should get to know mallick.. or Rukiea... But anyways, how long u staying Mallick?"

Rukiea followed Jay and loaded the arrows on to the bow. She opened the doors and shot one arrow up. She heard a few men yell thinking it wasa real bomb. "Ready! You go ahead!" She loaded another arrow.

Lena wiped the tears from her eyes and hugged Jake back, smilling. "I know you're right.", she said quietly, "I know you are."

"Until Maybell releases me, or they trust that I'm not planning to do away with them anymore and decide that I could fight FOR them." , Mallick replied, smiling slightly at Jake and Leita, "Besides, no offense to Leita, Rukiea's more my type."
