"Playing matchmaker, Jake?" Leita asked with a grin. "I think both Rukiea and I are perfectly capable of finding someone ourselves. And Mallick here too."

Jay gave a short nodded and jogged off towards the enemies. I hope this works, Rukiea. He though as the first smoke bomb went off.

Jake pouted. "No.. Im not playing match maker... I'm just stating the obvious... I know Rukiea really wont let people into her life except me because i'm her brother.. But other than that.. she really wont.."

Rukiea watched Jay and shot another arrow. The smoke became thick and the troupe had stopped. They couldn't tell wat was in front of them. She shot the last one before jogging after Jay.

Mallick shrugged and replied, "Well, I'm not really looking for a match rigt now. Althugh it's not like anyone will accept me after what I tried to do."

Jay neared the group, smirking as they all looked around in confusion and shouted at each other. He approached the nearest soldier and quickly stabbed him and let him fall to the ground. He then moved to the next.

Jay killed several other men before noticing the leader was still slowly trying to make his way to the castle. Sneaking up behind him, Jay attacked him, giving him a serious wound that wasn't enough to kill him. He then quickly brought the hilt of his sword down on his head, knocking him unconscious. I'm sure Jake would like to finish him off. He thought.

Leita smiled to herself. "You know Mallick, except for the whole thing where you were trying to kill us, you really aren't that bad. Did you really mean the thing you said earlier? About fighting for us?"

Rukiea killed the last of the troupe before the smoke cleared. "Jay.. DId you finish him off?" Rukiea flashed her eyes back to gold. "Do you want me to call Jake to makesure this i his troupe??"

Jake looked at Leita and Mallick. "Your really going to let him go?! After he tried to kill you?.. Nevermind.. I tried to do the same.."

"No. He's still alive though unconscious. I thought that if this really his Jake's troupe, then he deserved to finish him off. But you're right. We should probably get Jake down here to make sure that this isn't some random group of raiders."

Leita shrugged. "Like I said, it's not exactly my decision to make but yes, I think I would if I could. I believe that he is telling the truth when he said he wouldn't kill us given the chance."

Rukiea nodded. "Your right. Please tie him up and remove all his weapons." She began to walk to the castle.

Jake smiled. "Alright alright. I guess its safe."

"You didn't though, did you, Jake?" Leena asked, smiling, "And neither did Mallick. You don't see me doubting you." 

"I'm all for untying him.", Maybell said, shrugging. She reached behind Mallick and undid the ropes binding him.

"Thank you.", Mallick said softly, smiling at Maybell, "You won't regret trusting me, I promise you."

Jay took a coil of rope off his belt and quickly tyed up the captive. After removing the man's weapons he jogged to catch up with Rukiea.

"I doubt we will. However, Jay and Rukiea will probably be a bit harder for you to convince."

"They will have to.", MAybell said firmly, "He is now one of my protectors, if that is okay with him."

Mallick nodded, too stunned to say anything. 

Jake looked at them all. "Rukiea can't say no to something decreed by a princess." Jake smiled.

Rukiea walked in the room. "Jake, your master. We caught him and would lik eyou to finish him off."

"She can't.", Maybell agreed, smiling up at Rukiea as she entered.

Leena looked up at Rukiea and grinned. "Go on, Jake. Kill him. He deserves to die.", she said, hatred lacing her voice.

"Come on Jake. We want you to kill him.. He is bound and weaponless."

Jake nodded. "Right... But you know, i can't kill him yet. Put a chain around his neck like a dog. He is going to be tortured as I have. His body is flawless as mine was. His jealous rages cutting deep into me."
