The soft thrum of the bas.s in the current song caused the surrounding area to hum. Taylor flicked her hand out to the stereo system and turned up the volume. The rythm of the music beat its way through her as the girl closed her rain gray eyes. She leaned up against the wall, concealing herself in the shadows where the barely lit club lights failed to reach. Of course, when they turned all the power on in the club, the dance floor would light up and the rest of the lights would burst to life. The music would be pumped up and the subtleness of the club would lose its hold.
A familiar scent wafted through the only door on the second floor of the club. The canopy on the second floor of the club was for her coven and most of the dancers restricted themselves to the bottom floors. Taylor cracked her eyes open, though they still barely resembled gray slits. Her brother's pale hand slid down the rail as he loped down the stairs. A grin lit up his features as he spotted Taylor and beckoned her over.
Taylor detatched herself rom the wall and meandered her way over to her twin brother. Maksis enveloped him in a tight hug before playfully punching her shoulder. "What's up?" Taylor asked a a light grin played on her lips.
Maksis chuckled as he released his sister. He led her over to the bar where soft drinks and smoothies were served. Any form of alcohol was strictly prohibited. Taylor slid int one of the metal bar chairs and called for the bar tender that was serving on duty for tonight.
"Two cokes," Maksis said to the tender before Taylor could slip a word in. Before she could open her mouth again to talk, Maksis cut in again. "Club's supposed to be full tonight. Drake said we got a bunch of the neighboring schools coming in," he said as Taylor quietly sipped her coke.
"And? It's always like this on Friday nights," Taylor questioned as she pushed the plastic straw around in the drink.
"Be on the lookout. I feel something's going to happen tonight. It's nothing, but make sure there isn't any trouble, and take a drink, would you? You're a bit on the pale side," he said as he ruffled her hair.
Taylor let her fangs slide out in response as she pulled her teeth away from the coke. She let out a soft hiss at Maksis and the twin chuckled. "Cute," he replied as he rolled his eyes. He pushed back his dark gray sweatshirt and checked the time on his watch. "Ten minutes 'till. Go turn on the power. Let's get this party started," he said with a whoop. He flicked her hand and departed for the upstairs again, signalling the beginning of this evening's Friday bash.
Taylor set her drink down on the table and flagged down the bartender again. "Club's up," she said and he gave her a thumbs up while he clicked a button under the table. The purple lights over the black counter top lit up. Taylor spun around in her chair and watched as the lower tables lit up from the light above them. Green, blue, and yellow lights began to swirl on the dance floor that lay behind a roy of tables. The music rose in volume and the beat of the next song was kicked to a faster tempo.
A fresh wave of air entered the club and Taylor flicked her gaze to the door. Already, dozens of teens were streaming in through the doors. taylor picked out a few that would be candidates for tonights drink before taking another sip of her coke. "And so it begins," she said as she sucked down the last of her soda.

The raven-haired girl swung her feet through the air, causing the leaves of the tree to rustle. She sighed and crossed her arms as she fidgeted in the crook of a tree branch. The wolf girl felt on edge and more than anxious to be out doing something. She peered through the leaves and sought for the moon amidst the dark blanket of the night sky. It wasn't hard to find, the full orb outshining the stars with exaggerated extravagance.
She knew the full moon was to blame for her unsatisfiable need for excitement. She dropped down from the branch, landing in a crouched position as she did so. She dropped own to all fours and squeezed her eyes shut. A gutteral snarlripped its way through her throat as her bone structure twisted and snapped. She shook out ehr dark gray fur when the transformation had completed. Her eyes narrowed as she shot off through the woods, her destination branded into her brain.
She leaped over a fallen log and trotted into the Bane Werewolve's encampment. She let loose a soft howl, signalling for the rest of her pack-mates to join her. Because of the absense of an Alpha, Scout would be in charge of the pack until a new one was found.
