Bright red eyes fluttered open as their owner awoke, the smaller-than-normal albino sliding out of his ned. He wasn't really that much shorter than average. Just a couple inches or so. He still felt like a dwarf, though.

He sighed softly as he started digging through his things to find his favorite outfit (look above0 and stuck it on, moving to his mirror to tame his wild white hair, frowning lightly as he stared at his reflection.

Abnormally pale all the time, bright red eyes, white hair... He wondered briefly if anyone thought he was a vampire or something.

He quickly dismissed that thought as he gathered his things and headed on to his chorus clas-s, praying that the teacher wouldn't decide to use spotlights for mood effects. He could only take so much light exposure at a time, unfortunately for him.

When he entered, he immediately made for the first empty seat he saw, sighing. "Sorry I'm late," he muttered softly.

Nolan, meanwhile, had woken up quite a while ago and was walking the halls, only deciding to drop in once he figured he wanted to, slipping in silently and padding over to an empty seat, all but staring at the albino kid near him, which made him squirm uncomforatbly when he acknowledged it.

The blue-eyed boy chuckled softly, then turned to look at the teacher, waiting for the clas-s to actually begin. He was already bored.

Sais rolled his eyes as he took his detention slip. He wondered why the teacher even bothed to give him one. He never came to the detentions. He quickly shoved the peice of paper into his pocket. He raised his hand. "Hey Teach why do I even have to come? "He asked. "I mean i can't even sing."

"Why do you have to come? Why do you have to come? Listen Sais, everyone here must learn how to be blah blah blah blah...." 

That was all anyone ever heard.

Lucy blew a gum bubble the size of her head, and then it exploded all over the place. The teacher gave her another detention slip.

"Oh, thats nice." Jake said, scooting his chair away from  the gummy mess.

"You know, you would think my older brother would care about me." Lucy teased, cleaning the gum off of her face. 

Lucy saw the kid smile at her, and smiled back for like a second, and then turned back to her friends.

"You know, I think you guys scare people." Lucy laughed when she saw that Chris and Jake were fighting over a pencil. 

Deren pouted at the detention slip, eyebrows furrowed. He sighed softly before taking a chance to look around the room, bright red eyes taking in every detail. He closed them shortly after, humming the tune of Panda BEar by Owl City under his breath, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

Nolan was tempted to just rip up the slip of paper, but decided against it, raising his hand instead. "teach, if we're at this school, shouldn't we already know how to sing and act and everything?" he asked, blinking his own eerie-looking silvery-blue eyes.

((Yus. .w.)) 

Nolan hissed at the teacher, wiping off the spit. "Say it don't spray it, lady," he growled, disgusted. He glared at the teacher, eerie blue eyes narrowed. His dog tags rattled lightly as he stood, brushing off his shirt, a disgusted from on his face.

"And, you know, spitting is disgusting and impolite," he stated with mock innocence as he sat back down, crossing his arms over his chest as the albino kid moved to stare at him for a couple moments before returning his attention to the teacher, almost expecting her to say something about them having to perform in lighting so bright it blinded you.

Or, even worse, in direct sunlight on a very sunny day. He would refuse to sing if that was the case. 

The teacher returned the look, and walked over to the center of the cl*censored* room.

"Ok, as you know, Star Quest is coming up. We are doing a middleschool number, then one boy, one girl, a highschool number, one boy, one girl, and then the same for college. Then one all together. Now, the lights are gonna be bright, so all of you must were makeup." The teacher said.

"Fun." Charlie whispered.

"Yeah. I just love wearing blush." Chris rolled his eyes. 

Nolan grimaced, wrinkling his nose. "Makeup? Are you insane?" he growled, huffing. There would a cold day in hell before he put makeup on for anything. Nobody was forcing him to wear girl stuff.

Deren fidgeted lightly, lifting his hand a bit. "Um....exactly how bright are the lights going to be...?" he asked, feeling a bit strange. He doubted that even with makeup that he could stand the light for very long. His albinism had pretty much made him an outcast his entire life since he could never go outside on a beautiful day to play with the other children. Not that his red eyes helped any.

((All that really happened was that I joined and Deren and Nolan are in Chorus now.
