OOC: Yah, me too. Sort of. I only come on to check this thread, and shake my head a bit maybe at revamps. Lol. So it's not biggie. In fact, for some reason, the one topic I was desperate to roleplay is fersona.... I'd really like to start one, but my threads never survive. xD Plus... Unless I made it private... a bunch of those people may join... *shiver*

OoC: Ah, still. It makes me feel bad. x3 I'm pretty well killing us. I guess this isn't exactly one of those roleplays that's so fragile and ready to just be forgotten and dead at any moment, but I hate to think of it.. Darn it with school and laziness. Now. Sorry if Knives' part is a little boring or wordy. I was reaaaally tired when I wrote it. xD The rest should be fine though. Knives watched the top of the rock face as the pair disappeared behind it. It almost looked like they'd just been absorbed by it - joined into it as one ma-ssive space of darkness. And without a word or name mentioned at all. Either they were trying to be mysterious, or the big one just cared that little about being friendly. The Plant rather liked the second option.
But then, no matter which it was.. what was he to do if they really felt so confident about doing it all without his help? He wouldn't have struck up a deal if he'd thought they were still just going to run off and grab her the same as they would have done anyway. What a waste of time that would be, even if it all started just for the sake of curiosity. No. He had to do something to help the deal along - wouldn't want to take any chance in failure, at least. Not with something like this. The shifters probably knew what they were doing when it came to Ces, but it wasn't likely they knew the others so well. Knives did. Especially his brother, who would be the most important. After all, Vash was the one who just couldn't ignore the puppy - the one who started this whole thing in the first place by bringing it home. Knives would have to be a distraction. That meant he had to get back to the ghost-town first. And that meant he had to find some way out of this canyon. Damnit. He'd hardly managed to get inside it intact. His wings were too wide around these pillars, and the rock they were made of wasn't exactly easy to stab. He wouldn't be able to get out either. He growled a sigh. Apparently he'd be walking as long as he was in here. "Well, actually.. I was going to say the Tardis too," Vash said, crossing his arms in a hint of a pout. "I guess that was the obvious answer though, huh? Well, except to Wolfwood's kid here. Starlett, was it?" He bent down to be more at her level - at least, until Wolfwood kicked him in the leg, and he just about fell over.
"Yes, Starlett," the priest sighed. "Now stop acting like a kid. You're aggravating enough when you act normal - even if it can be depressing as Hell sometimes. An' I would say when you act your age, but I guess if you did that, you'd be callin' us all kiddies and driving around everywhere in a flying wheelchair from God knows how many years ago. Which would be pretty convenient, actually.." Vash stuck his tongue out. "At least I'm trying to help with ideas for right now. We really do need to be crashing somewhere soon, and the Tardis is probably the best place to do that. I know you have your crappy motorcycle to carry you around, but we've been on foot since we got here. Shade, wherever she is, had an entire army of dead people after her, Ces has had to shift all to July and back, I apparently got stabbed to death, and we don't even know what poor Starlett here's gone through. Sure looks like it's not good though." "So.. c'mon. We'll go to December to get you somewhere safe tomorrow." He poked Star on the forehead. "Right now, we have to find the Doctor and Shade and all her.. cat-friends. I'm not sure what they'll be doing, but the Doctor knows his flying box best."

OOC: Hyarr we are. Both giant lizard and submissive owl (OOC: nyeh, can't remember whether he was a falcon or not) moved through the overwhelming darkness with hardly a sound. Save for the low, padding noises made by Hurjad's m*censored*ive, four-toed feet, and the odd snort that emmitted from his nostrils, both Harans were utterly silent. Hurjad was probably thinking about the fragile deal he'd just struck out of thin air - literally out of the blue. But his younger brother was more concerned, even worried. His dark blue eyes glinted with a strange fear as his clung onto the thick, twisting horn of his brother. Even for a fully-grown male kentracha, Hurjad was huge, and his horns, outlined with thin trails curling to the tip, were almost two whole meters in length.Tevereo's tiny feet could fit many more times in-between the lines. It was a long while before the delicate silence between them finally broke. "Nice going," Tevereo hissed through his tiny beak. "What?" snorted his brother, white eyes flashing cold. "At least I am doing something. You're doing nothing at all to help, just getting yourself caught and seen by everyone here." The owl scowled in the best way a bird could - his eyes narrowed, and what would've been the bridge of his nose crinkled to become an odd tangle of facial-down. "I don't trust that creep." "Neither do I. I hate him already." For a moment, it seemed as though Hurjad had finally gotten to terms with his brother, and revealed a rare moment of recognition between the two siblings. But Tevereo wasn't fooled by this. "You don't like anybody. Please come up with something original." The giant lizard gave a thoughtful dip of his head, as though he'd noticed a small mistake in his appearance. "Nah."
Tevereo, wide-eyed and edgy, looked behind them both. Nothing to see beyond, except for his brother's long trail of vertical quills gradually shortening to become a feathery tail which glistened a silvery hue. His superb eyesight caught the tiny details of his brother's scales, inscruitable to even the sharpest human eyes at a distance, slimy-smooth as snakeskin. But this hide was harder, warmer. He could make out the thickset muscles lying inside Hurjad's powerful body, rippling and stiffening with each stride. He did not doubt that, if it came to a fight, Hurjad would effortlessly overpower Ces. Undoubtedly he could kill the tinier she-Haran.The younger brother direly hoped that such a menouver wouldn't be necessary. Neither spoke.
*** A secret sense of relief flared up inside Ces' chest like a small flame - nothing exceptionally bright, but still a flickering beacon surrounded by a particularly gloomy darkness. She bowed her head momentarily to hide a small grin, then winced slightly as she felt a small, jabbing pain tear through her lip. She gingerly stuck her tongue out and tasted blood. Accustomed to the hurt, she then vigorously licked her cracked lips in an attempt to moisturise them a little better. It did little good, and it only brought the unappealing taste of dust to her mouth. "Bloody hell," she murmured, running her only ungloved hand across her face. It came away coated with dust, sand, and a strange essence of blackness. Frowning, she sniffed it. It was ash of somesort. At first she felt confused as to why the aftermath of a fire or even explosion would be on her face. Then she remembered the incident back in the city, and quickly wiped her hand "clean" on her equally-dirtied clothes. Ces, with a gorwing feeling of concern, truly wondered how rugged her appearance really had become. "Shade and the others are still... with the other Plant, I think," she said, glancing at Vash. "They'll turn up now. But..." The Haran glanced around herself at the town around them. It was littered with corpses, some lying in several pieces with a number of feet between them, others still thankfully less graphic upon their demise. Ces' face briefly contorted in anguish, thankfully hidden from the others - except for Starlett. "What'll happen here now?" She faced Vash again, suddenly alarmed. "You'll get blamed for this, for sure."
OOC: Edit later, I think I'm needed.

OoC: Mouseh. :D *sits upon* ... Hurjad's hatred of the world makes me laugh. x3 Ahm. I'll get Knives later. I hafta go to school now, and the half-paragraph I had for him wasn't exactly going anywhere anyway. Vash frowned at Ces' realisation. It'd definitely be true within a week or two. Even such a tiny town had to have visitors stop by from time to time. "Well.. I guess I really can't help that," he sighed. "When someone finds this place and the news starts spreading on the radio, it'll just be another blame to add to the pile. We'll just have to keep a low profile as long as we're still here." "As for what'll happen to.. all of them.." He just barely lglanced over his shoulder, then lowered his head again, looking sick. Too much - too much grief, lying everywhere. "Uhm. I was.. I was thinking I'd just get up early in the morning to bury them - or at least, to get to as many as I can manage before we have to go or something. I usually get up around the same time the suns do, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem." "I guess I'm helping you with that?" Wolfwood put in in an obvious grumble. "Yep. Just like old times." The Plant smiled a little. "Saving people from thugs and cleaning up the messes we made in the process and wandering the desert for days on end. All that kinda stuff." "That was only a few months ago. Not exactly old times." "So? It was still pretty fun, usually. Now.." He turned away and looked over toward the big building in the center of town. "So Shade and the Doctor are still over there? I guess we should go get 'em.. Or maybe we could just yell something about food and hope Shade hears it. Either would probably work."

OOC: Yah. I was hoping to make him all, "Your entire family died? Lol owned." Unsubtle and outright, that's pretty much him. Ces half-suppressed a broad smile at Wolfwood's final comment, but it quickly subsided like ruffled leaves settling from a brief, winter sigh. Her hands dug themselves deep into her pockets - actually feeling grains of sand lurking at the bottoms of both - and she glanced with a sudden despair around the group. The sun had completely vanished, swallowed up by the horizon - a subtle streak of black trying in vain to merge with the near-identical, dark-blue of the sky above. It wasn't a true shade of black, like how many metaphorically referred it to being. The moons, all a dusty silver, cast white shadows over the buildings, illuminating them against the dark mixes of night. It felt like a ghost town, but the stars above - scattered, maybe, like snow falling over the sea - glittered hauntingly above. To some, they looked like diamonds. But to Ces, they felt like glaring, sad eyes. The cold was also there, contrasting greatly to the immense heat of the day only hours before. It hung about in a single, unwavering m*censored*, creeping in between clothes and biting tired toes. Her breath emerged and smoked away, a whitish-grey in the surprisingly powerful light. The Haran shivered, suddenly feeling eerily empty. "I'll go get them," she voluteered. With a final glance towards her friend and two new companions, she fell forwards and became a dog-shaped shadow loping across the white ground, long, limp tail bouncing behind her like a long, furry sack of somesort. Ces' fur instantly prickled against the cold, and her eager gait slowed to a self-conscious walk as she weaved in between the bodies, feet light and apprehensive. At certain points, she wavered, one paw held aloft above someone's face or disembodied limb. Finding herself in a reasonably spacious "clearing" - only almost two meters in diameter, the place was so clustered with corpses - she lifted her face and let loose a long, high-pitched howl. Unlike the celebratory cries before and after another pack activity, this howl began more like a yelping bark, before gradually deepening and lowering in pitch. She did this only once, before turning around and padding back to Vash, a little slower than before. She did not raise her eyes.

OoC: Ah, I've been a little busier this week too. x3 Homeworks, bleh. I guess if we go anywhere, we could just drag Star along? xD 'S always a good way to make up for absences. Would that be all right? ... And we'll probably need Nias before we can actually do anything over there anyway. Since we can't exactly pull around an army of Fera. o3o
