OOC: I'll just start writing it here. c:

Tevereo, hunched up with his back against the moons, was simply a black outline against the darkness of everything else. Had they been visible, his eyes would have wrought with unease, the kind of edginess that fidgets and twitches before a storm. Mainly it was because the krifnur would've reached Ces by now, and if everything went... right - he hated that word right now - she would be suffering the effects of its toxins, poisons that would prevent her from transforming and even communicating with her Soul-Animal. The thought of that made Tevereo feel sick. He thought of how he'd feel if he lost contact with Ghost, if he'd suddenly been left alone in the world, with a body that refused to work... The thought made him pity and sympathise tremendously with her. Once they found her, he'd do all he could to protect her, help her recover from the attack. Tevereo swore it.

Another thing that simply fed his uncertainty was the fact that... Well, Ces had gathered herself a faction of very close allies. Allies that were, no doubt, potential dangers against him and his brother. He could only imagine their reaction to seeing her succumb to the effects of the drugging, as it were. Would they seek revenge? Most likely. And even though Tevereo was one of the "immortals", just like Ces, he'd grown to fear death, despite the childlike illogicalness of it all... Mainly because he'd been watchful in his long life, and had not died once. His reckless brother, on the other hand...

He heard a small scuffle, the coarse sound of feet moving across dry rock. Tevereo didn't bother turn around as Hurjad stood beside him, overlooking the vast blackness. Directly up ahead was the town, a considerable distance away. The younger of the two turned his head slightly towards the firstborn, looking up at him. He hated the way his brother glared out towards the blackness, that arrogant, self-confident glint in his dark eye. His black hair was a mess, short and sticking upwards in soft, challenging tufts. Tevereo, on the other hand, always asserted that his longer hair was always kept clean. Partly because he was a neat, organised person, and disliked disorder. Mainly because it was such a pain to keep when it got dirty or tangled.

"Time to go, little brother," Hurjad stated freely, cape slowly parting in waves that formed feathers. His voice didn't choke or stammer in remorse or guilt. His voice was as smooth and cool as marble, every dark vein evidence of his tainted heart. Tevereo resented him as his brother transformed into a tall bird-like animal, with a "beak" riddled with teeth and a pale, central eye between the two red spheres that burned like angry coals. Tevereo also hated this form, the most out all his brother's more ghoulish choice of  animals. Mainly because it was an artificial species, one of the "perfected" entities that his brother's culture had bred and created out of the high-held belief that the natural specimens of Theslern were only useful, and not exceptional.

With sadness, Tevereo reluctantly became his much more modest "owl". At once, the giant, six-legged bird took off, swiftly followed by a smaller creature with furious wings.

OoC: Okey dokey then. It still works. xD

Knives stood there for a second with Ces in his arms, like he wanted to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything. No, he was sure the now-limp Haran was all he needed. He'd be back soon and he couldn't really stay long for now, anyway - knocking the wind out of someone didn't last all that long, and Vash and Shade would be damn ready to fight as soon as they could snap out of it. It looked like they were already starting to fight their way off the ground.

So, he turned on his heel and took to a light, almost giddy step back in the direction he'd come from. It was like every step toward those two strangers was a step toward freedom. Of course there was still the Human problem and all their oppression toward Plants, but much as he hated to admit it, their glorious genocide could wait. Right now, all that mattered was crushing his brother's hope for having friendship and the ridiculous kind of life that was apparently normal.

A flutter of blades and a series of leaps across all these dirty rooftops later, the Plant found himself staring across the open desert yet again. This time though, he'd be walking. It'd be too risky to stay - the catgirl could probably get on top of buildings pretty easily, so she could definitely catch up - and Ces made things too difficult to fly. Knives sighed to himself. It was a gentle sort of sound, but he couldn't deny he felt a little impatient.

So, he walked. He also talked a little, if only to annoy Ces. He knew she hated him, and she seemed like she really couldn't say anything. The thought of her burning in frustration about it was hilarious, really.

"Y'know, dog. I can't tell you how happy this makes me. I almost wanna thank you for it, really. Except that would be stupid of me, and you should forget I even suggested it." There was silence for a minute before he piped up again. "Do you know how much it'll crush him? He's really never tried so hard to make a permanent friend, other than maybe Chapel back there. And when you're gone, Chapel certainly won't be any gentler than he's ever been. Vash'll have no choice but to turn to me." The Plant smirked to himself. It was easy.

Another stretch of silence. Then, "I bet it's terrible being you right now, huh? I'd sure hate to be you. So.. weak and pathetic. I mean, look at this." He shook her a little, and her arms and legs flopped around like baby sandworms. Or, well.. maybe just worms too. They were basically the same thing, but smaller and lacking all the eyes and fangs. "You're just so damn dead."

He grinned a little and looked up ahead again. "Except your face. Your face is priceless."

OOC: Nice posting. -3-

Had she been able to scowl, Ces would've. Hell, if she'd been able to grow herself a sword, be able to at least control her hands, transform, she'd turn on the smirking Plant. Of course, she'd always keep in mind that he was Vash's own twin. Ces doubted she could bring herself to murder him. But she'd sure kick his head in.

However, even if she was able to do all those things, if she wasn't so heavily immobilised, Ces doubted she'd have the strength to do anything. Recently, fighting, running, transforming was all she was ever getting up to, and for what reason, exactly? The only breaks she had were when she lost consciousness or stood around waiting for everyone else. A rest was all she wanted in the world, and she almost appreciated the chance to simply stop... But not like this. Not drugged against her own will, alone in the desert, in the arms of the person she probably hated the most in the world...

And about Vash... How on earth would her absence - quoting Knives - crush him? They'd only known each other for a few days. Surely, Vash wasn't the kind of person who formed deep friendships on the basis of a few hours, was he? Clinging obsessively to the first few people he stumbled across? ...Yes. Maybe he was. And why should Ces have a problem with that?

For reasons she couldn't quite pinpoint, a deep despair twisted inside of what was still Ces. A strange kind of... longing? Sure, he could be clumsy and a little weird most of the time. But that was Vash. And he'd become a good friend. A very good friend. Even when they were enemies, and Ces was still allied with the Remnants, Vash had made it his personal duty to assert she survived their first fight. Bandaged her, protected her. He'd even carried her lifeless body around with the Spectre at his side, tormented himself with grief and guilt over the fact that she'd died because he'd lost control. Since then, he'd watched out over her. Looking back, recollecting it all... Ces realized she hadn't felt any safer before. It wasn't a matter of whether she was in actual peril or not. It was closer to the fact that, if she fell, Vash would always be there to catch her.

Ces' dark eyes stared unblinkingly up at the stars, so that little white dots reflected on the dark brown of her glassy irises. She looked almost dead, for she had even lost the ability to bl
ink, to cry - she felt so helpless, even more so when the Plant shook her about. But emotion persisted in them - an immense sadness, a feeling of isolation and loss - she missed the Spectre's constant presence, crotchety as she was; Shade's warm,sisterlike company; and that feeling of protection she'd only just realized she had that came from simply having Vash. The Haran couldn't even feel the cold, the soft desert air that prodded her bare collarbone. She was immune to the world. The sleeves of her dark coat concealed her arms, but by now, they were long coursed with holes and scrapes, caked in dust and blood. In fact, not a part of her seemed clean anymore. She was just a rugged, dirty dog.

OoC: -3-?
... Is that face because I stayed up so late writing? xD

"I almost wish I could hear your thoughts," Knives said in a bit of a jeering tone, still looking upward toward their destination. Of course, it'd take ages to try actually reaching it on foot, but it was easier to just call it a destination - they were heading in its direction, at least. "I bet they're really.. fun right now. You probably wanna attack me, right?" He paused and smiled a little. "Everyone probably wants to attack me, really. But I'm fine with that."

"It's a good thing it's so dark out here, too. Not many of the moons are shining tonight. Even if they try to have some kind of hunt, they sure won't find us. What's one wandering grain of sand to another? You're practically covered in it.. a little disgusting, actually." He rubbed his fingers together and grimaced at the gritty feeling between them. "... And I've got plenty of brown cloak. We'll just look like another couple of bodies rotting in the suns."

Finally, he stopped. The little town was a decent ways away by now, and hopefully those two were planning to come and get their luggage. "We'll wait here," he told the worm-limbed Haran. It almost didn't feel like it was worth saying - not like there was any reason to tell a lifeless body, a victim, what was going on. It was like telling a person he was about to die right before slicing him in half. Pointless and time-wasting.

Knives was about to drop his cargo to the sand when he noticed a tall rock jutting from the sand not far away. It felt odd and frankly stupid to be nice to something this pathetic, but her friends would probably like to see her a little taken care of. Of course, they had also put a parasite in her throat too.. but what mattered was making sure his part of the job was done. How they wanted to treat her either before or after that was nothing to him.

So, the Plant stepped over to the rock and propped Ces up against it - away from the town, of course. It'd make a nice extra bit of cover. He climbed up on top of it and pulled out a knife to shine against the moonslight, like a beacon. Then he leaned over and shone a malicious grin at the Haran below.

"If you see any birds up there, make sure to tell me, okay?"

OOC: ... I'm not sure. I always thought it to be a "...Yeah, man. Yeah." kind of ex
pression. x3
... -3-

Ces could only stare, hollow-faced, up above. He'd put her to rest leaning against a coarse, barren rock that stuck out of the ground like a malformed fang. The Haran lay with her legs stretched out over the dust - which had softened and sloped to become "proper" sand, the kind one found on beaches - and her body snuggled by the rock. She fitted into it like it was a throne, but it stuck in her ribs and body in the most uncomfortable way, and her head leaned right back to an unnatural angle. The kind of angle only dead things could achieve without complaint. Once she regained control, Ces knew she would be aching all over... That is, if such an achievement was certain.

With bitterness she heard the Plant's voice, but didn't dwell on his words. Instead, Ces continued to peer up at the heavens. So remote and tiny she was right now, impossibly insignificant. Where was Vash? What was keeping him? Had Knives caused more hurt to him than first assumed...? The Haran would've frowned, deep in confusion and unsettlement.

* * *

The silver owl was almost hoping the giant creature flying beside him with exaggerated wingbeats would miss the sudden glint in the darkness, but such hopes were snuffed out as soon as the light signalled a mysterious presence. "It's him," Hurjad muttered, his voice a harsh, unnatural squawk. The two red eyes blinked once but the big white one, sitting in his forehead like an ugly, gleaming egg, remained open and glaring. Tevereo was grimly pleased his brother's unappealing features were so heavily veiled in darkness. It wasn't his ugliest form, but it ranked high amidst the others.

 With a predatory agility, his wings folded and he dove towards an outcrop in the sand. Tevereo, falling drastically behind, decided to keep his distance, and instead, peered desperately for the presence of their... captive. He hoped, with all his might, that no harm had come to her. After all, if they treated her badly, she could refuse to co-operate. Worst of all, Tevereo wouldn't blame her for it. Ah, well. No matter what state she was in... He'd look after Ces.

Hurjad settled first, and a few seconds later, his younger brother flitted down to the ground. He didn't even touch the ground before he whirled into his human form, and he hurried over to a small, shadowy figure slumped against the black mass that was the rock. Ignoring Knives, Tevereo knelt down beside Ces, and instantly placed his hand upon her cheek. Slowly, with the utmost care, he turned her face to his. All he saw was a pale face, streaked with dirt, and a pair of glassy eyes that bore no emotion. Except for a small shine of surprise, the she-Haran was... otherwise unresponsive. Yes. It was her. Tevereo offered a small smile, trying to appear friendly. But inside, Ces was howling with rage - and Tevereo knew it.

Hurjad didn't bother transforming, for either he was trying to maintain an authorative outlook or simply felt too lazy. He simply stood, with his neck hunched over like a horse, single white eye ever unblinking. "You actually managed to bring her," he said, although his tone lacked all traces of arrogance or mocking surprise. "You must really want her out of your hair - however short it is." He gave a small, light-hearted ruffle of his black feathers. "Did they put up much of a fight? I'm sure we can spare something or two to make up for any harm received by you... My brother is quite adept at the arts of healing."

OoC: Ohhh. 'Kay, I think I get it. xD
lol at Hurjad.
Gosh. I forgot how much the awesome of roleplaying sparked a weird longing for.. more awesome. xD Kinda sucks, 'cause in the past I could just grab names to make up for it. Now all the names I could really set goals for are either never for sale, or I already have 'em..
Oh, and. Are we gonna ask Nias about coming back to take up Shade and the Doctor again? I mean.. it seems like she never really can. x3 She's always so busy with college, the poor wabbit.

"Not at all," Knives replied almost brightly, watching as the little one flat-out ran to Ces' side. He obviously wanted to be nice, but he mostly just looked like he was scrambling to make a good impression - and failing, of course. He was like a drowning insect flailing to keep at the surface, next to his more respectable-seeming brother. "A good surprise hit up into the ribs can keep 'em down long enough. Not long, but still long enough. Actually.."

The Plant turned atop his rock and peered across the stretch of sand behind him, searching for any ounce of movement against the pale shadow. The town may have been decently far away, but it was still somewhat close. "They're probably coming to look for her right now. Even if they probably won't find us, they'll still be looking. Unless we really want a fight over her.." Knives frowned a little at his own words. "You might want to go soon." He felt like a damned coward saying it, but it was true. No matter how fantastic or just necessary knocking a few heads could be, there was no way it was worth the risk of having that stupid dog get taken back again.

"I think I'll be out of here, myself," he continued, jumping down from the rock to end up just beside Ces and the smaller brother. He landed perfectly on his feet, like a cat. "Maybe I'll meet them halfway, if they are out there looking. Make 'em give it up or lead them off somewhere else or.. something." Knives paused for a second, then, in a curious voice with just a trace of malice and jeering, "I wonder how they'd react if I said I dumped you off in the desert to die."

He glanced down at the Haran with a hint of a knowing smile - nothing, of course. She may as well have been dead already.

So with that, he turned to leave. "Thank you." It was something he didn't think he'd said since he was a kid. Honestly, it felt damn silly. Like telling a sandworm, hey, thanks for eating that man. That was a really great job - your mother would be proud.

OOC: Yuh, I know the feeling. Feels weirdly... great, to be back in the game again. c: To finally get to WRAIT MORE STUPH.
I might powerplay the Doctor a bit, give you guys something to respond do. He can go all know-it-all on the remains of the evilsnakeything.
And lul. Wabbit. We luvs our pet bunny.
Hee hee. Knivsey has the scornings for Tevvy-dear.

 Hurjad's long face flinched in the direction of the town, like he'd heard something distant. His nostrils, mid-way down his snout, worked thoughtfully. He was actually a little surprised this stranger hadn't come across any opposition during the kidnapping. In fact, it all seemed too satisfying, too smooth, to be true - Hurjad decided to tread carefully here, not leap to any conclusions just yet. The slightest miscalculation could have drastic effects on their mission. Inwardly, however, Hurjad gave a self-assured shrug. Maybe they'd get to take her to Theslern in one piece, after all.

A small grunt ahead of him, emanating from the deeper shadows of the outcrop, snatched his attention. Suddenly Tevereo was staggering out, with a slim body hanging uselessly in his arms. Hurjad gave a laughing grin that revealed all of his sharp, curved teeth. What moonlight reached his face highlighted every wrinkle on his furless muzzle, and a deep, half-growl vibrated through his throat. "You are most unbelievable," he commented, watching his gangly brother struggle slightly with one of Ces' arms that was twisted in a slightly sore-looking direction.

"Shut up," Tevereo murmured, and although his voice was clear and controlled, Hurjad knew he would much prefer howling his frustration. After a few awkward moments of much balancing and adjusting, Ces was in a more comfortable-looking position. Quietly and without further comment, Tevereo stepped towards his brother, his step cautious and hesitant in the face of the unknown that was the night. Still grinning with dark amusement, Hurjad watched his brother's every mood. His egg-eye acted like a kind of fifth moon (OOC: there are four, riet bro? :o), glaring continuously at his younger sibling - until it finally blinked. It was a slow closing of the lids, the kind of bl
ink maybe an aged animal might make - a worn, sleepy predator that was no longer suppressing the embrace of slumber.

"The time has come for us to, let's say, be on our way," Hurjad remarked matter-of-factly to Knives. He tilted his powerful head to one side, like an observing bird. "And I must say, I'm impressed that you managed to capture her so swiftly. I was partially expecting a long wait." Tevereo laid Ces' limp body at the claws on his brother, like a sacrificial offering. One long-taloned, muscled forearm - the first of one row of three legs - slowly extended and clasped the human-formed Haran, already flexing the claws as if preparing for a long flight. She shifted like a dead piece of meat, eyes suddenly quite panicky. Tevereo cast his gaze away, guilty.

"And one last thing," Hurjad said, as if remembering something. He gave a snort. "If you find the opportunity, try and stall them from finding us. We don't care much how you do it. But, well, if the chance presents itself... do feel free to kill a few, if you'd like. We doubt Ces'll be needing them any longer as it is."

Tevereo turned a dark blue stare on his brother. "You doubt it," he growled in a clipped, heated tone. Behind the folds of his over-cape, his left fist flexed slightly, and he felt a little rush of power seep into his fingertips. He turned his persuasive stare to Knives. No. He hadn't agreed to her friends dying...

Hey, I just realised. Now that a certain word for rumps is uncensored, I can finally do that. xD Niassssssssss.
I guess that was perfect timing, too. I honestly have no idea what I could possibly post for.. anyone at the moment without powerplaying.
Also.. I dunno exactly how many moons there are for sure, Wolfeh, but there are at least five. x3 Fifth Moon incident, bro.
... Even though that didn't happen here, hah. Instead it was just that silly moon on Earth or.. whatever planet we started on. Lard, I don't even know. xD We never thought anything through then.

Yeah. It's weirdly thrilliang, bro. RR is finally starting to pick up its pace. Like how Aragornses, Legolases and Gimlises just go, "Let's hunt some orc!" *dramatic determined face, chasing, ect* My fellow Wabbit and Yoshilisk... "Let's hunt some boredom!"

OoC: Homg *^* they finally uncensored that.
Thank thy lord! It was getting annoying taking precautions to type that things out.
I don't know about Le Americas, but in El Britain, ass is another name for Donkey.
I think we started off on earth... or new earth, or something >-> I'm not sure...
So from what I've read, Shade and Vash are still withering around in the sand being all like "gosh darn that varmit brother isaudhklwjngiudb. If his life had a face I'd punch it."
Lord knows where I left The Doctor and all the other Fera... and Halm and Lucy.

My god, I just realized how many characters I have.
I'll post on them later when I found out where I left them >->
Or I could just be like "yeah dey all in da Tardis."
It makes me wonder... what is the plural to Tardis? Is it just Tardis, or Tardi... or Tardises?

BiC: Shade coughed, stirring up some of the sand on the ground. She clutched her chest with both her arms, wrapping them around her as if trying to squeeze out the pain. She winced slightly, trying to scramble to her feet. She was confused, not quite sure of what just happened. "Ces?" Shade murmured. She knew something had happened to her friend, but she was unsure of what. "Ces?" Shade questioned again. No reply. Shade brought herself to her knees, looking around.

Ces was nowhere. Shade's eyes widened, she remembered someone taking her away. Thinking a bit about it, rusty cogs in her brain turning, that someone looked an awful lot like Vash's twin. Shade smacked herself in the face. It was Vash's twin, who else could it have been? "Vash!" Shade exclaimed, looking to him, he was still on the sandy ground.

Shade got to her feet and then offered a hand to Vash. "We're going after him right?" It was a stupid question, probably not even necessary to ask, she knew the answer.

~~~~
The Doctor was wandering around the control room of the Tardis, pressing various buttons, turning knobs and pulling at levers. It seemed as though he had no idea what he was doing, he was simply pushing random things for fun. He spun around, pressing another button. The monitor in front of him lit up, showing a picture of the sandy, body strewn town. He frowned, thinking of all the innocent lives lost, feeling helpless of not being able to stop what had happened, or find out how.
The Doctor always knew things, or found them out. He was a Time Lord after all. Time Lords knew a whole lot about the universe and the organisms that inhabited it. Putting aside the image on the screen, The Doctor jumped around to face all the Fera that had gathered near the doorway. He flashed them a grin. "Right, before you say anything: yes, she's bigger on the inside than the out. I have a swimming pool, a library, bedrooms, a wardrobe..." The Doctor paused, thinking. "I could do with making more bedrooms I think. Let me know when the others get here, I'm off below!"
Without waiting for them to ask questions The Doctor dashed down a flight of stairs, taking three steps at a time, to position himself beneath the central column where he began fiddling with wires.
~~~~

Asinth was still holding this pink haired girl in his arms, but seemed to forget she was even there as he started around the control room. He was the first of the Fera to step further than the doorway. He wandered around, carrying the girl in his arms, glaring at all the technology. He didn't like it much, because he didn't know what it was. He shrugged it off once he found the couch deciding to lounge about on it, letting the girl sleep on his lap.

Blaise glared around a bit, not wanting to look impressed by this thing they'd stepped into. She took Leilos by the arm, dragging her along towards the control panel. She sat her down on one of the leather seats. Halm had noiselessly stalked them, looming behind Leilos.
Blaise snorted, looking around a bit and deciding to climb the stairs and wander around. To her left and her right were corridors, leading to god knows where. without any thoughts she wandered off to the left, strolling down, looking at her surroundings curiously. Just how big was this thing?

Lupe lingered behind, still at the doorway not wanting to move until Shade had gotten there. She worried for that little one sometimes. Seems that traveling with different people and creatures, Shade knew nothing much of the abilities the Fera held. Lupe wasn't too confident in any of Shade's skills since she hadn't seen how she fared in battle. From what she had seen, Shade seemed like an incompetent ass. (I'm sorry i just neede to use the word ass cause... ass ass ass ass ass.) Lupe smiled through her thoughts, she'd teach Shade what she had learned through her years.

OoC: omg Wolfeh that was so hawking clever lololol. ^0^
Hah, I.. honestly don't even know. Didn't it have something to do with the Final Fantasy dudes? And they were all like, 'lol SHINRA and Materia and Sephiroth and stuff.' And I was like, 'lol okay sure. 8D'
But then random sandworms made things all confusing and appeared too.. 'cause I was an invasive twerp who couldn't hold an obsession down for half a minute, hence why I joined in the first place. ^0^
Speaking of that. I just friggin' bought December, bros. ♥ Three major cities down now, YAH. And I'm broke because of it. P:
OH, yah, and if I recall, the Doctor and all of Shade's new friends were following after her as she ran toward Ces' howling and then had a momentous reunion and then got powerplayed in as minor of ways as we could think of. xD I guess maybe they got distracted by something along the way while she was standing there gazing off into space like a silly kitty?

I bet it was like a weird kind of crossover. Like, random things from seperate movies and games and thingies all sort of clashed by accident? Things were strange enough until Barney turned up and got gunned down by Kitsune. Lolage.
Hmm.. that reminds me. Halo. I think I want Chiefy back. x3
Dun' worreh, I was no better, bro. How'd Ces turn into a chocobo, without having an actual charm for it? I think of some clever excuse for why she was able to do that in the first place. But I've forgotten it by now. Cause' I'm a silly noob...
U bot a sity? Hows at?
Yh. Ces sort of led them back, had a bit of (very) mild intimacy with Mr Typhoon Over There... Perhaps the Doctor and the Fera were having a bit of a non-threatening stare-off? "Uranidiotbuturcooltoo :(:."

OoC: Basically. xD The Barney thing was just.. priceless. Maybe not as hilarious anymore, but it's still just so ridiculous it has to be funny.
lawl i bot a sity wit my supah ozm munniz, duh o_o But actuly srsly. I bought the name from Toxicity. xD That makes July, December, and Augusta now. And in the spirit of going crazy over collections, I hatched Faybrant today too. 'S a small town.
... 'Kay, the 'very mild intimacy' thing keeps making me laugh. xD I think just, the way you put it is making me have really silly thoughts. 'lol we looked at each other IT MUST BE TWU WUVVVVVVV.'
Wellll. While the Doctor's in the middle of that, I'mma go ahead and post. ^0^ I'll mess with Woofwood being in the Tardis once you're done with that last part.

Vash couldn't believe it. He felt so angry and helpless at the same time, lying there in the dust watching them go. While Ces looked downright terrified - or at least, Vash thought that's what the look on her paralysed face was - Knives seemed like he was ready to skip away. Why the hell..? Why would he do this? Was the idiot really that selfish?

Wait.. This was Knives, of all people. Of course he was that selfish. The jerk didn't care what he had to do or how many minions he had to waste, as long as he got his way. And considering just how many minions he seemed to have in the first place, he almost always did. Vash wouldn't have been surprised if that thing in the Haran's throat was one of their doing.

Suddenly someone called his name, and a hand was offered to him. Shade! God, was he glad to see her. He pushed himself up off the sand and took it, coughing a little as he stood. "Y-you all right?" The answer to her question was quick to follow, like a vulture after some unfortunate little dying animal. "Yes. There's no way in hell he's getting away with this. Or with her. I'll.. I'll..." The Plant couldn't bring himself to say it. No.. not that far. He forced out a sigh in frustration - at himself, at Knives.. at everything.

"We should probably get some help. Just to make sure things go as smoothly as they can. I know he wouldn't have second thoughts about.. hurting her if we try to do anything." Vash glanced toward the Tardis for a second. Hopefully Wolfwood would be fine with coming along, despite his little orphan-buddy he'd insisted on taking care of. Surely she could stay here for a little while. "Do you know where your friends went?"

-

Knives paused and cast a little smile over his shoulder. "Glad to hear it. I certainly wouldn't want to keep you waiting." He gave a curt nod and turned back on his way, blades pulling themselves away from his back yet again, like deadly fingers reaching for the sky. It was starting to seem like he may be better off just leaving them out and ready, with all this flying he'd been doing.

The bigger brother's suggestion was actually a very.. tempting one. He'd be sure to keep it in mind. The little catgirl could certainly go - she'd been almost as annoying as Ces herself. The fact that she'd probably fight just as hard as Vash to get their friend back, if not harder, would only give Knives even more reason to go after her.

Of course, then there were all those new guys - the ones that looked like the catgirl. As confident as he was, the Plant knew that biting off too much could be a terrible, terrible mistake. If she went down, they would probably join in too. Damn, it was all too much. Where were the Guns when he needed- Oh? Speak of the devils. Suddenly what looked like a few mosquitoes flying overhead caught his eye.

Zazie.

He kicked off into the air and shot toward them, leaving the three Harans to whatever they planned on doing. As Knives pulled up next to them, the mosquitoes moved aside in an organised group, like birds. They watched him curiously - or at least, he assumed it was curiosity. It was the only motivation the things had ever really shown for joining him. "Beast, get your ass over here. Now. And bring the rest of the Guns too. We've got a problem coming to us, and I need all of you."

The insects sped off instantly, probably to meet up with their host body. Knives watched them for a second, then took off in the other direction. Toward the town.

OOC: Yh. The way my sister wrote it, too... ".. he shot Yazoo in the shoulder!" So stupid. But so funny, too...
Ohnaise man. Ver' nice. :)
Hafta go. I'll add some more later. :c
"Felt his hand on my head.... WEN WILL EH PROPOSE? C: IT'S FRIDAY, FRIDAY, GOTTA GET DOWN OF FRIDAY..."

Appalled, Tevereo opened his mouth to speak, but by then his brother had flown away. The six-legged, macabre Hurjad had taken off into the night, sending Tevereo staggering away. His wings beat heavily, and he held the dirted, limp form of Ces close to his feathered body, not allowing her to dangle like a fish plucked from the sea. That piece of prudence was one that Tevereo appreciated, but he still refused to give into relief. Hurjad did not care for Ces in the same way Tevereo did - she was simply another weapon, another solider in the recruiting military, that he could use.

 His face was perplexed as he turned in desperation to Knives, but the stranger was already in the sky, talking to what seemed to be... insects. He could not see them for the darkness, but he could hear a piping, droning hum somewhere above him. And Knives was talking to them. Either he really was mad, or... they were messengers of somesort. Tevereo didn't know, Tevereo knew nothing about this dry, dusty, sparse planet. Whatever the short-haired nut was saying to them, the Haran was unsettled.

Modestly he transformed into his "owl" again, and dashed off into the night. Far above him, Hurjad stood out against one of the bigger moons like the black silhouette of a puppet, held aloft against a pale background.

* * *

She was rising, higher and higher, with half her face buried in the feathers of her captor, and the other half staring out at his dark form against the wind, a long, lizardlike tail trailing in the air like a long, fat ribbon. Ces felt a shudder and a jolt with every wingbeat, as helpless as a small scrap. This stranger, a monster who could talk, held her carefully but not tenderly, and she felt frightened by the power in his muscular build.

Then, like a little silver smear, she spotted another bird. This one was much smaller, and could have sat on her arm with no strain. It looked like an owl, with short wings that beat rapidly, and a sad, humanlike glint in its dark eye. Both of these animals - these transformers (CYBERTRON) - were unfamiliar creatures to Ces. But... there was something terribly kentracha-like about this six-legged brute's tail... The way the feathers slid into the spindly, poisonous quills...

No. Couldn't be.

OoC: 'KES I MAD U A RONG OT UF WEEDS FLOURS MARIE MI BRO.'
Yep. To the Woofmobile! I mean.. Tardis. Yah. 8Y
Also, hah. Silly cursewords. I did it too. x3 I swear, after doing a project from the point-of-view of the main character in Of Mice and Men, the only words I can ever think of to use as adjectives are curses. Kinda sucks, since.. I never curse, myself, and I'd like not to go too overboard even in character. xD

When Wolfwood had gone to enter the phonebooth, he frankly didn't hope for much - how the hell could anything that small be used for traveling, even if it was magic or whatever? It was as stupid an idea as using his Angelina to carry everyone to December would have been. Hop on, everyone! There goes the Wolfwood Express! You, sit on the right handle, you on the left. You - oh hell no, you are not bringing those damn donuts.

When he actually walked in.. it was even worse than he'd expected. It was like every half-cat freak on the planet was somehow stuffed into that one little booth, smothering him like a deadbeat father. He almost couldn't even tell where Starlett was through all of 'em, except that he still had ahold of her hand. 'Course, by the time he'd gone to turn back and go outside again the damn doors had shut and trapped them in. It was a huge, bustling, catpeople nightmare.

"Good God, how many of you people are there in here?" He tried pushing against the blue doors to make them open again. It didn't work. "Is there any way to make these open up a-" Wait a minute. Suddenly most of the catpeople were gone, and Wolfwood could see that.. damn. This thing definitely wasn't just the little cramped box he'd thought it was. "Oh. Right. Magic.. alien phonebooth." He breathed a resigned sigh. "Why did I expect anything different?"

He'd rather not have said so out loud, but it was amazing, really. Even a normal ship was sure something to look at, but this was like a ship that had gotten shoved into a box. And somehow it came out to be a perfect fit.

Damn, he was in over his head.
