Phoebe walked through her neighbourhood slowly, dawdling so as not to get to school early. She could feel the neighbours watching her, so she sighed and put her hood up to cover her face. She put her head down and walked a little faster. She met up with a friend on her way but didn't talk as much as usual. She was too busy with her own thoughts. She had been stuck with the large secret of being a half vampire half human since she was born, but it was still hard to keep it secret. Sure it was fun, being faster than everyone, always beating records on sport days, but keeping the secret was a large burden. Sighing, Phoebe pretended to listen to her friend and headed for school.
