"Why." A sophmore asked her mother as she was dropped off at school. She hated Americe for two reasons. The first: It was far from her friends and the second: Nobody would even know her. Akilina was going to be the new kid...again. She hugged a book, Sunset by Earin Hunter, close to her chest as she walked past cliques of cheerleaders, Band nerds, and Football players. The pool was close by, but it was locked.

After taking a peek around, she decided that school was a joke, America was the joke. She was the smartest person in her school in Japan, but that had been taken away. She had no need to learn American history. It was stupid and all she would do was argue with the teacher all operiod. aki changed into a bathing suit. It was dotted with cat along the side, but the front was the team uniform, the one she had in Japan.

Making sure no one was watching, she jumped the fence that divided the school from the pool and landed on the concrete of the complex. she smiled and dove into the water. This was her element, it gave her strength, in the figurative sense...

Sola and Maya looked around when they heard the familiar thundering of feet and voices. A few cranky, a few joyous, but all had the same highschool feel. The two sisters looked at each other and grinned. "Look!" Sola said excitedly, tugging Maya's arm. "It's Drake!" Maya rolled her eyes. Sola always thought she was the friend of everyone. "Go talk to him, then." She said sarcastically. Sola, not understanding sarcasm, looked up at her sister and nodded. "Okay!" She chirped obediently, then floated off, waving a hello to Drake. Maya slapped her forehead. "I really need to teach her how sarcasm works." She muttered.

"I'm not in the mood right now Sola." Drake growled before walking around the friendly girl, and storming off down the hall.

Raina sat in the small limo. She stared at the windows, though it was impossible to see therought the freakishly dark tent. She sighed and layed down on the long seat. As she stared at the ceiling of the stretched car, she wondered about how her new life would be. She had a new name, and had to live with her mom's sister. She pulled out her cell phone and stared at the picture of her family on vacation at the lake.
In the picture, her dad was throwing her in and her mom was laughing. She smiled softly then sniffled as tears began to roll down her cheeks. The fact that she was seperated from her beloved parents suddenly hit her like a bag of bricks.

Taylor whacked Maksis on the head yet again. He mumbled a few words so Taylor flipped on the lights and pulled his silky comfortor off of him. She laughed when she saw the small rubber ducks dotting Maksis' boxers. "Get up. We're going to be late for the first day." She yelled and Maksis threw a pillow at her face. She frowned. "If you don't get up now, I'll drive for the rest of the school year." Taylor threatened. Maksis sat straight up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "I don't feel like dying halfway into the school year from your reckless driving." He said sarcastically. "Then let's go." Taylor said. She had already finished her hair and was wearing fresh clothes. It was her normal clothes that she wore. Just a simple black tank top and jean shorts sufficed for her. She grabbed Maksis' car keys and threw them at him. He caught them and pushed her out the door, grabbing nearby jeans as he did.

Maksis pulled his backpack over his right shoulder and handed Taylor her messanger bag. She slung that over her shoulder and walked through the open door Maksis held for her. She slid into the driver's sead of Maksis' red Mercedes Benz. She closed the door and Maksis pulled himself into the driver's side. The purr of the engine was a dull background noise as he slid out of their driveway.

Maksis pulled into the school parking lot, finding a spot in the corner of the lot. He hopped out, waiting for Taylor to get out before locking the doors. He pulled out a strip of paper where he had scribbled in neat handwriting, his locker number and combination. Taylor glanced at the paper and groaned. "I forgot to write mine down." She said and Maksis rolled his eyes, fishing another paper out of his pocket. Taylor snatched it from him and gave him a small hug after reading it. "Thanks, Maks," she said.

"Let's go. We have our first two clas.ses together. We have science in room 302 and then after that, math in 220." Taylor nodded. "Let's go," She said.

Akila saw a girl at the pool. she went over to her. "Hi. I'm Akila. This is my brother Shane."She said. Asalia came to them. "I'm Asalia. We're from Japan."Asalia said.

James, Alex, and Andrew all headed towards their lockers, figuring that they might as well do so before it got too crowded and were late. Alex made sure to keep the camera on him, and not in his locker, Somehow someone always figured out hos to get into his loker and mess with his personal belongings. Why, he had no idea but he wished that they would stop. He pulled hi books down and threw them into the bag that he had over his right should and zipped it up and locked his locker. 

James was having a little trouble with his own locker, the knob was hard to turn and then the latch you had to yank on before it would give and actually open so that he could get inside. He too took down his books and put them into his book bag. Andrew, on the other hand, wasn't having any trouble at all and had already gotten his things and were waiting on the two of them quietly as they finished up and more people started to arrive at school.  

Alex nearly bumped into the girl behind him, having lost his balance, but managed to avoid it coolly. Though he did turn to her to apologize for something that didn't but could have happened. This girl happened to be Asalia but he didn't know that. He also didn't know her face, he was better at faces than with names and frowned slightly. MAybe she was new?

"Sorry." He apologized to her quickly, putting his hands up and backing up. He smiled apologetically before turned back to his friends in embarr*censored*ment. He got embarr*censored*ed easily and his face was slightly pinkish. He raised her hand an bit his hoodie sleeve quietly. 

Taylor glanced at her locker slip once again. "Maks, what locker number do you have?" She asked and Maksis glanced at her. Without looking at the paper, he recited his number. "112." He said and Taylor smiled. "Great, I have 114. That means we both have top lockers and we're right next to each other," Taylor said.

Taylor glanced around the lot, trying to pick out some faces that she would recognize from last year. Her cheeks turned slightly pink as she recognized a face she had seen last year. Maksis snickered as he recognized the face also. "Is that Levi over there?" He asked and Taylor smacked him, muttering for him to shut up. "Let's go," she said, pulling on his jacket, but Maksis was alread waving Levi down.

[[ I hope Levi's in the parking lot and may Taylor crush on him and him and Maksis know each other? If not, I shall change my post. ]]

"It's okay."She said. "You guys are the only emos I've seen here. It's actually, pretty cool."She said.
