Maksis put his hand down, realizing that he probably looked like an idiot whilst waving it in the air. He realized this was okay because Levi was already strolling casually over to them. The boy said a quick hello which Maksis returned with a friendly grin. Taylor muttered her own hello, shooting dark looks at Maksis before perking up.

"So how's your summer been?" She asked him and glanced at her watch. She wished she knew what time the bell rang. She already knew that Maksis would know. She made a note to herself to bring it up in the conversation.

Levi looked around, feeling the uncomfortable wave of other high schoolers pressing around him to get into the school. "My summer?" He asked, temporarily brought out of his hatred for large crowds. "Well, can't say it was horrible." Levi shrugged. "I did like the hotel, though." Levi's parents loved touring other countries, while their son preferred staying at home. "What about you two?"

Taylor tried to shoot Maksis a warning glare, but he immediately fell into one of her summer storied. "Other than the fact that we avoided near-death-incidents with Taylor driving, we hung out at the beach a lot. Our parents don't really like to travel, so we stayed in the city. I have to say that hanging out on the creek in our backyard at night is amazing. You should come over sometime," Maksis said, winking at Taylor. She crossed her arms, unimpressed and more than a little embara.ssed.

"What Maksis means is we sit out on our dock at the creek in our backyard and at night, fireflies light up. He likes to catch them like a three year-old. That, and if you're really quiet, you can hear wolves howling in the forest across the creek. I think the funniest moment was when a raccoon stole Maks's potato chips. He chased the furry thing around a bend and fell into the water," Taylor said, smiling at the memory. Taylor shut herself up, realizing she was rambling.

"Oh, ok." Andrew replied quietly. "Forget them, all that matters is what you believe in. Nothing else." James said, directing these words at Akila gently. He didn't want to seem rude, but no one should have to conform to what others want of them Ever.

"Don't let anyone convince you that their way is better than yours." Alex smiled, James had told that to him when they became friends. He was going to try and change himself so that people would leave him alone. Andrew nodded, James had told him that too.
