 Jayfeather looked up from what he was doing, "Okay. Bramblecla- I mean Bramblestar said that I should choose an apprentice soon. I think he was thinking about Ashkit but I am sure we can work something out." Jayfeather said his voice a little more stern. He knew Ashkit didn't want to be medicine cat apprentice just like he didn't want to when he was a kit. He still didn't really want to be medicine cat but he couldn't be a warrior.

"Oh!  Thank you!  Thank you!" Silverkit exclamed, then quieted down, "Sorry for yelling, but really!  Thank you!"

 Jayfeather looked down at her, "I have never seen anyone so happy for becoming a medicine cat apprentice. I was mad when I became one..." Jayfeather said quietly," Well since you are apprentice age then I guess I should go tell Bramblestar." Jayfeather walked outside, over to the leaders den,"Bramblestar?" He called. He heard the leader's foot steps and took a step back.

 "Yes?" Bramblestar asked in a weak voice. he couldn't look Jayfeather in the eye anymore without remembering Squirrelflight. 

 "Silverkit wants to be my apprentice...Is that okay?' Jayfeather asked.

 Bramblestar looked up,"Sure. I mean I think she might be the only one patient enough to learn from you."

 Jayfeather hissed under his breath,"Okay I am sure she will be very happy." He said running back toawrd the medicine cat den.

"Did he say.. yes?" She asked, nevious again.

 "yes." Jayfeather said. 

 Ashkit looked around. She heard some cats coming even though it was hard to consentrate with the smoke filling her nose.

"Yay!" She exclamed, not helping doing a little jump.  "What can I do first?"

Tawnypelt sniffed the air.  "Yuck.." She mutterd when she smelled the smoke, but she forced herself to smell the air again, "I think I smell the kit!" She exclamed.

Candleflame smelled the air too, and wrinkled his nose, "I think I might too, its hard to tell with the monster's smell."

 "Yah, the leader hasn't told the other cats about it yet so we need to wait." Jayfeather said not wanting the cat to get to excited.

 "Who is there?" Ashkit asked. She took a step back and let out a hiss her fur starting to bristle.

"Okay..." She said, getting nervious again.  "But at least so far its good..."  She paused, "Um.. Jayfeather, I always wanted to ask you something," She took a deep breath, "Remember the time, I got white cough....?"

"We are here to help you!" Tawnypelt said, hearing the kit.

 "yes...Why?" Jayfeather asked.

 Ashkit listen to the voices, "What do you want me to do?" She asked taking a step forward. She heard a monster rush by and jumped back again.

"Well... When I was close to dieing... I had this weird dream...." She said, "But... I don't think it was a dream...."

"Stay where you are!" Tawnypelt said, "We will find you!"  She raced to where she heard the voice, Candleflame trailing behind.  The smoke of the monsters burned her eyes, but she was still able to find Ashkit.  "Now, wait until a monster comes, and run as soon as it leaves!  They don't like to go close to eachother!"

Tawnypelt let out a sigh of relief.  "Shes safe..." She murmerd.

"Thanks to your exilent coaching." Candleflame said.

Tawnypelt smiled, then turned to Ashkit, "What is your name?" She asked.

Tawnypelt nodded, "I understand being dared to do something you dont want to do, Candleflame once dared me to see how far I could sit on a tree branch!  I landed in a rose bush, and coulden't sit right for a moon!"

"You didn't HAVE to try!"  Candleflame mutterd.
