Diangalo woke up. He looked at him in disgust. Where was he? He looked around at the scene. He was on a bus. This must be the prank that someone pulled on April fools day. He narrowed his eyes and looked out the window. Great. He was in the desert too. He snorted and fell back asleep.
Hazel sat in boredom. Three-hundred minutes, forty-two seconds. That's how long she had been on the bus. She had counted. Why did her parents send her here anyway? Was it because she wasn't the ' outdoor' kind of person her parents wanted her to be? She was supposed to be going to somewhere fancy, but the desert really didn't fit that deion. " 180 more minutes," she said. This always calmed her, but now she really had lost all hope that they weren't lost.

Thalia felt something hit the window behind her with a loud 'Clink!', making her turn around in surprise. "What the..." She said softly to herself, looking at the landscape in surprise. Last she had checked, they were in the middle of the countryside, cows and horses bordering each side of the bus. And now- pure desert. "Have we really gone that far?" She murmured to herself, just as the bus began to jolt even more violently beneath her. People started to scream, realizing the bus was starting to tip. "What's going on?!" Thalia heard someone shout, pounding against the glass with their fist. "Help! Bus driver!" Another yelled, scrambling over their seat in a crazed dash for the emergency exit. In all of the hubbub, Thalia heard the bus driver scream "Everybody out!", hefting them out of the top quickly. Sprinting towards him, she felt herself being lifted up into the air and tossed against her window, knocking the air out of her. Run, escape, run, escape... was all Thalia could think, just before she saw her chance. Flinging herself off her seat, Thalia caught the edge of the emergency exit, just barely slipping herself out before the whole bus shattered and crashed beneath her, groaning with the impact. A group of kids stood clustered on the dirt, murmuring quietly, faces streaked with dust and dirt.
(That'd be you guys. xD We're the only survivors, apparently.)

OOC//: Still remaking Raven. She's being based almost completely off of me. The only things that aren't are her name and age.
BIC//: Raven didn't pay much attention to anything but her music. She had closed her eyes and was nearly asleep until she felt the bus starting to move violently. The shrill screams of other kids jolted her to full alertness and she tugged the ear buds from her ears, quickly stuffing the ipod back into her pocket.
She could feel the bus tipping and she held on with all her might to the seats on the side that wouldn't hit the ground. Terror made her close her eyes. She could feel tears sliding down her cheeks and, soon after a window behind her busted, the warm feeling of blood joined the tears. Pain burst over her back, neck and the side of her face where the glass cut but, in a rush of adrenalin, the pain was swept away and replaced with the strong urge to live. Live. Live. Live. Don't let go of the seats. Don't get crushed. Make sure Kode is ok! The last thought made her gasp.
Her eyes flew open and she searched desperately for her brother. More tears escaped her eyes and she found herself calling out for him. "Kode?!" She screamed, over and over until she heard the reply from somewhere behind her. Turning her head as much as she could, she saw she'd also been holding Kode back, but he'd taken shelter behind her legs. Cuts over his head oozed blood but, other than that, he looked to be ok, albeit shocked.
The bus finally turned over, full on it's side, crushing most of the kids. Raven couldn't hold herself and Kode anymore, letting go of the seat and landing on what she wouldn't allow herself to believe was a body. She took hold of Kode's hand and their baggage and headed straight for the large emergency door at the back of the bus. Once outside, she found it hard to breath, her eyesight dimmed and elongated into a tunnel before she finally fell, unconscious. She hit the ground, hard enough to at least bruise. Shock, blood loss, fear, they all kept the pain from registering to her brain.

(Sorry, I was watching a movie with my sister.)
The initial shock began to set in. Everything, well, everything but a tiny bag he had shoved in his pocket, was gone. He could have gone back and retrieved his bags, but that would be stupid, and even himself had to know when to put an end to things, especially his OCD. As if it was already bad enough the reality of being stranded in the middle of nowhere with people he didn't even know began to kick-start his paranoia. He was outnumbered. Surrounded by nothing but sand and rocks and filth and dirt. Frantically, he began beating his palms together in an attempt to brush the dirt off of them.
"Hmmn...that's unfortunate." Carly mumbled before pulling her sketchbook out of her sweater. "Safe from harm." She smiled, hugging her sketchbook. Immediately, she grabbed her pencil and flipped open to a blank page, the words "In the Event of A Crash" were written at the top. "Step one;" she paused, surveying her surroundings. There was nothing but the deserted, barren desert around her. Maybe there's a town nearby? She pondered. About three lines down the page she wrote the words "Step 4; Find others."

Diangalo woke up, finding himself in the middle of the desert. He squinted and started toward what looked like someone holding a stick. He had to find someone, something to promise him that he wasn't dead.
Hazel picked up a stick and drew a line in the sand, slowly walking forward until civilization was found. She turned back and saw a figure coming toward her and she stopped. "Hello?" she said. " Anyone?"

Dawn: "In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you..." Oh how Dawn loved Pride and Prejudice. Her eyes read fast and eagerly through her favorite scene, at first ignoring the worried remarks coming from some of the passengers. Even the first couple of jolts were ignored as Dawn was too transfixed on her reading. She couldn't help but be in her own little world, or be a hopeless romantic who dreamed so loud that her surroundings couldn't distract her. She didn't even acknowledge the guy in front of her, obviously asking her a question. (I thought it was no point to actually have her answer now. Bahaha.) It was when she heard the bus driver call everyone to the emergency exit that she finally put the book down and look up. Heart stopping in anxiety, she jumped to her feet and quickly exited the bus. As she was running to the exit with the others, she tripped though caught herself. Her ankle throbbed but that was nothing compared to the others around her. Luckily, she left the bus alive.
Lancelot:
I was one of the first to get out of the bus, so I was unharmed. But my worry ate at me as I watched outside everyone else exiting. Some were bleeding profusely, one even fainted. And not everyone left the bus. I was tempted to run back in and help, but I knew that would only cause more chaos. So, instead, I sat next to the group of kids; hoping that everything was going to be alright. We were in the middle of the desert, but that didn't mean the bus driver was stupid enough to not have a map. Right?

Reagan stood shocked among the rest, lucky to have been able to survive. No one spoke for a while, mostly nursing the cuts and bruises given to them by the broken glass and shoving. "Well?" Reagan asked, raising an eyebrow at the desert landscape sprawled out before him. It seemed as if nothing was moving here. A few gusts of wind blew some tiny pebbles and sand around, but there was no signs of life. But thankfully, Reagan had paid enough attention back when he was a kid in boy scouts, that the desert carried tons of creatures- a lot of them poisonous. He sighed slightly, realizing that his friends had been killed in the crash. He was alone, with a bunch of goth freaks, emos, and kids that didn't exactly seem like the way Reagan imagined camp.
Thalia wiped a hand across her forehead, feeling tears gathered in the corner of her eye trickle down her face, leaving a trail along her dirtied face. Great. My first day, the bus crashes and I'm already crying in front of everyone. She thought bitterly, sniffling. Not even glancing at the wreck, because she knew there would be dead bodies and blood everywhere, Thalia strode over to the group of teens and prayed they hadn't seen her tears. "Well?" She heard, just as she arrived, her hands deep inside her sweatshirt pockets, clasped around her iPod.

Dawn: As she walked toward the group, Dawn tried shrugging off the pain in her ankle. Though she did feel pain when she put her weight on it, she tried rolling it as she walked it to see if it was alright. Not to bad. Probably just bruised. As she sat down with the rest of the group and wiped her face from the dirt covering her, like everyone else, she asked herself quietly, "What now?" Dawn tried looking passed some people standing, to see if the bus driver as alright. Without him... They were just like the people in the bus, still. Dead and gone.
Lancelot: I couldn't help but notice the tears in some people's eyes as they walked to the group I was with. Those poor kids, losing friends, maybe even siblings. I could see a stained cheek from dirt and tears to the last girl that came to the group. I got up from where I was sitting, and looked at the girl with sympathetic eyes. "It's going to be alright. Maybe the desert ends soon, maybe a gas station nearby?" I don't know why but tears always triggered my optimistic attitude. Maybe I was just too soft. I couldn't stand seeing hurt in everyone's eyes, I couldn't just watch.

Thalia quickly wiped away at her eyes and managed a halfhearted laugh. "You saw that?" She said, wishing she was back home even though she hated her parents with a passion. Her hair, once brushed and neatly combed, lay in tangles around her head and her black jeans were caked with dirt and blood. Thalia even thought she saw a finger laying on the ground nearby, but she didn't want to glance back to make sure it was.

Kode kneeled at his sister's side, not entirely sure what to do. "Um...you guys. She's out cold." He said quietly, not quite comfortable talking to them. He only then noticed one of them was within range to hear him. He sighed and shook out his hair, splattering more blood over the sand.
----
Darkness. Hot, suffocating darkness. Pressing against her from all directions, choking her. And then, from somewhere she thought was beyond the darkness, the soft, uncomfortable near-whisper of her brother trying to get help. Faintly, like feathers falling, came the feeling of fingers, of hands, searching over her for more serious wounds than her head.

Her pencil scratched across the page and wrote the words "Stay calm," immediately writing "Step two; Check the wounded" under it. This will be a great manual for if I ever get lost while collecting specimens for my study. She giggled in her mind, sketching a quick "chibi" drawing of herself that was holding the sketchbook. Don't get carried away, Carly. Focus... Her smile faded into a look of concern as she
glanced up at the children surrounding her. "We need to stay calm," she
said "panic kills more people in disaster situations than the actual
even itself." A thought then crossed her mind. If we're going to survive this we'll have to work together.
Stay calm?! Those two words had been completely erased from his mental vocabulary, or were often followed by the words "and panic." He wasn't allowed to stay calm, and every attempt he made at those two words ended with him on the brink of having a panic attack -- and that's just what was happening. Dirt was caked on his hands, face and legs, and dead bodies were not far behind. Frantically, he reached for his surgical mask the he kept in his pocket, but it wasn't there. It had fallen out in the event of the crash. Damn! Where is it! His hand resumed rummaging through his pocket, his heartbeat was racing and breathing began to become difficult.

Dawn: "We need to stay calm." Dawn heard as she looked up and observed everyone around her. They were anything but calm. With their weeping for the lives lost, frightened at the idea of not living through the situation, or just panicking for the fun of it, they were anything but calm. She stood up from where she was sitting after realizing that she was doing nothing to help by sitting down. Dawn looked over to two people from the bus sitting farther away from the rest of the group. She jogged over, ignoring the pain in her ankle, and went down on her knees next to the guy. "Why don't we pick her up and bring her to the rest of the group?" She asked the guy while sticking her book reluctantly in her bag. This wasn't a good time to get lost from reality and read. "It's better if we stay with the group." She added.
Lancelot:
I smiled softly at her response before nodding my head as an answer. "Yes, I did." I said quietly so she couldn't hear my accent. Last thing I needed to do was stand out.

Heat. Heat was every were along with a horrible smell of iron and salt. Sophi slowly opened her dark blue eyes. The darkness in her dreams vanished by the desert light. Pain. Pain was the next thing she felt. It was in her arm as she stayed on her side laying on a broken window. The feel of something damp and stick touched her left arm, the one on the broken window. Where was she? Why did her body ache? Something must of happened while she doze off on the bus. Something horrible. She didnt quite know what yet. Her vision still blury. Clarity and realization. As Sophi's vision came into focus she realized that she was in the bus with limp lifeless people. She didnt dare to move her head just yet. The fear that she may be in worse conditions than she felt came into mind and then she remembered. She remembered dozing off on the bus and for a brief moment she woke up just to become unconcious again. Was this what her parents wanted? For her to go on the bus and sent her off to camp to, just to be in a accident. She wanted to feel hatred towards them but her pain was too strong for any other feeling to settle in. She laied still for a long wile until Shophi started to move. She propped herself up using her right arm. The one not covered in blood. Sweat dripped down her face as she painfully turned her head to look at her left arm. Blood. With a small smile she noticed that the sweat on her forehead and the blood on her arm were the two things she woke up smelling. Sophi's lips were chapped and that small smile put a crack in them. With a small gasp at the unintentional pain, she started to suck on her bottem lip. Sophi soon had herself sitting strait up with no help from her arm, that now cradled her left arm. Scoping out her surroundings she saw lots of dead bodies. Tears threatened to fall, but she blinked them away. Looking around she saw the emergency exit wide open. She wondered how many others lived, and she was determined to get out and find out. With a painful struggle to get up, she collapsed. Sophi actually fell three times before stabilizing her legs. It felt like she hadnt walked in years, but that didnt matter now. What mattered was that she needed to get out of the bus. And as she walked over bodies and seats, with guilt starting in her stomach, she soon emerged into the desert air. All she could see was black with yellow, red and orange dots. Her eyes would take some time to adjust to the bright sun. Her black dress and her red wool coat wasnt going to help her in this heat. The black and light red hat she wore hardly shaded her ivory skin, and her black hair attracting heat as the blue hues in it shone. Her black boots and the white ribbon that wraped around it was covered in the red dust. "This is going to be a long camping trip" Sophi said sarcasticly to herself as she was examining the condition she was in. It seemed that her arm was the only thing seriously injured, and bruises only marked how rough that accident threw her around. Looking up she saw people. People who where alive, but for some reason she wasnt walking towards them. She just stood still.
---
Paul had gotten out of the bus with only a small scratch and a bruise or two. He was fine, he would survive, but in his mind he was already dead. "Just kill me now." He whispered as he rocked back and forth. His bright blue eyes were wide and frightened. He had lost everything in the accident. All his clothes, ruined! His Ipod, destroyed! Everthing he had brought was gone, except his small lether bag he embraced. It contained his Gucci cologne, his prada sunglasses, and his limited edition wallet his dad had gaven him. Paul wasnt aware at what was going on around him. All he knew was that he was in a group of survivors. What they were talking about, he didnt know. He was thinking of more important things like how was he suposed to get his blond hair the proper care it needed, or what is he suposed to wear every 5 hours, and how is he going to get this red dirt off of him. His situation was worse than he could imagine. Out of all these rich kids he had it the worst. He had needs that needed to be attened to. Paul had no clue how he was going to survive. He came up with and idea that he was just going to put himself infront of every one else. It was now survival of the fittest.

Thalia wrinkled her nose, not liking the fact that someone had seen her crying. But it can't be helped. She thought, stroking the screen of her iPod with her thumb. The hot desert sun beat down on her back, and to her horror, all of her things, except the clothes she had on and the iPod in her hand, were all gone. I feel disgusting. She thought, wiping away the bloody dust mixture off of her pants, her eyes wandering over to the bus.
The shock of the scene was horrifying. People lay scattered around the bus, mangled and limp. The bus driver was slung over the side of the shattered window, pieces of glass impaling his already crimson soaked skin. Everyone on the bus- dead. Every single body was covered in blood, or had bones sticking out at awkward angles.
"Oh my god." She said, turning away quickly, her already pale face sickly and a hand clasped over her mouth.
--
Reagan frowned slightly, striding over towards the bus. "Let's try seeing if there's anything left that we can salvage." He said, picking his way around the pieces of glass laying on the ground. His eyes scanned the crushed bus, searching for the spot the front seat should be. There! The driver's seat. There must be something in the glove box, right? He thought, running over.

Kode nodded at the girl that had approached and, carefully, picked up his sister, supporting her with a hand under he knees and one across her back. He was repulsed by the way her head rolled back and her arms hung limp. She was, however, surprisingly light and not much of a problem to carry several steps closer to the group. He didn't set her down, he didn't say a word. Just merely stood, tensed and on edge, hoping he'd be able to pull his knife from his pocket quickly if needed.
---
Ow. Movement. A female's voice. Survivors! More movement, someone carrying me. Who? Kode. My head. Sore. Can't open my eyes. Barely able to understand sounds. I need to wake up, tell him I'm ok. I can't. Going under. Darkness.

Sophi collapsed right where she stood not moving. She guessed that it was because she was wearing too many layers and the heat was too strong to bare. Well for now at least. On the ground she shedded her red wool coat, being very gental with her left arm. Her arm ached more and more each movement her shoulder made. Once her coat was off she examined her arm. Sophi noticed that there was a good size peice of glass lodged in there. It hurt really bad but it was stoping the blood. Looking at her jacket she noticed there was not only blood stains but a hole where the glass was. Even though it was ruined, it wasnt useless. Sophi thought that this would be a good blanket if they needed one, or maybe some cloth for whatever. Still chewing on her bottem lip she looked up, just to see a guy running towards the bus. She couldnt tell if she was imagining it or not, but thought it best to wait for help.
Paul looked at the fool running towards the bus. "So much thats going to do." With a chuckle, he stoped rocking and thought of all the fools there were in this surviving group and knew he was the only smart one.

Reagan managed to open the glove box, but there was nothing inside but a map of Oregon, and he doubted they were in Oregon. Looking around for more, he found 2 waterbottles and a few napkins, but that was about it. Glancing back at the kids, he remembered the most important thing- First Aid kit. Taking it off the wall, he gathered up his findings and jogged back to them, his arms covered in the small glass cuts given to him by climbing through the window. "I found some things." He said, handing someone a bottle of water and opening the kit. Who needs first aid the most?" He asked, holding up a roll of gauze in his hand.
