Darrah glared at Essence with her frightening stare that few could escape alive with their wits. It wasn't a funny joke. She felt as if Essence were joking about longhairs the same way white fur humans joked about black fur humans. Darrah growled at Essence, clear and loud. "Excuse me, but I'm not the one who goes around trash cans in occupied areas. It is quite rude, and it breaks a rule around these parts. 'Do not enter occupied allies without authorized personnel.'" Darrah had puffed up twice her size like a blow fish, but she still pretty much looked like a lean, mean, fighting machine. She leaped onto the same box as Essence, leaning down on the stupid thing. Her tail, meanwhile, had begun to swipe furiously at the air. She was not a cat to be messed with at this point.

Darrah hissed at Essence, her long white fur covered in striped spots not taking the chance to ease down.

Darrah laughed. "Come at me then. Too afraid to break a claw?" She waved her tail infront of her face and pretended to yawn.

Shadow was really on Darrah's nerves now. "And who gave you authority to say what goes on with me? Life isn't as peachy keen for me like it is for you. You got everything. Why bother with me!" She got close enough she almost touched Shadow's nose. "Fight is all I can do in this cruel world. Fight for who I am. Fight for what I need. Fight for my life. Fight, fight, fight. I am not a fighting cat. I am a breeding cat. I wouldn't fight if I hadn't met you all those years ago! You... You made me angry. Cruel. You made me a jerk. I used to be nice. But no, you had to come along with your shiny little sharp studs, 'Oh, I'm so pretty, I can take on anyone! I don't care about you, you, or you. Oh no, I broke a claw! Now I'll have to sharpen it all over again. Now I can't be pretty anymore, I have to take control of everything. Oh lets see, whose life should I destroy? You? Okay, just don't mess up my fur, weee!'" Darrah bounced around with this high squeaky voice. She raised her voice again. "You! You, you you!"

Darrah flattened her ears and leaped onto the ground, going down to the wet cement. She scratched the sticky stuff, using the code language her grandmother had taught her. 'I never spent time with my mother. My father was killed. I had no freinds. Everyone hated me. I was too soft. They threw me out. I was alone for years. Everyone I met ran away from me. I began to hate them, too. I seem to hate everyone I meet. Almost everyone thinks I'm just jealous of whatever. I'm probably just not meant to be here. Anywhere. To exist. Darrah.' She let it dry, then walked into the street. She looked at the forest. A car came straight at her. She didn't feel it. She kept moving, slowly. She looked at where she left Shadow, twitching her ear. I hate you. I hate you all. She looked back at the forest and curled up next to it. Her only freind was that cat she had met, the one who had known her from birth. They probably didn't care either, though. She curled up tighter. The tire tracks on her side brought pain.
